Korea: Who Wants the US There?

The current conflict in Korea has its roots in the anti-imperialist

struggle which culminated in the Korean war, where the US
committed genocide against the people of Korea, killing over 2
million Koreans, most of those civilians [11]. Over 80 percent of
South Koreans support a peace agreement, but their own country’s
foreign policy is not in their hands [12]. In the case of a wartime
situation, the US retains control of the military of South Korea.

US Empire is a Threat to the World

These are just a few examples of the violence and oppression
perpetrated by the US empire under the protection of the imperialist
military. There are many more countries the US is quickly moving

Russia. We must stand up and say no more war! We must stand Freedom or Protecting

Fight US Empire Now!
US war is imperialist war. US soldiers are not fighting for freedom or
national defense in Iraq or Afghanistan, just as they weren’t fighting
for freedom or national defense in Vietnam or Korea. None of those
nations have attacked the US or threatened our freedom. The US
military is used to protect corporate exploitation in other countries.
This is why we have created Youth FUSE (Fight United States
Empire), a group to fight racism and imperialism.
Genocide in the Middle East
There has been no effort by the US government to track the death
toll of wars in the Middle East, but estimates place the number over
one million in Iraq alone, hundreds of thousands of those civilians
[1,2]. That’s over 2.5% of their population murdered- that rate of
killing in the US would result in almost nine million deaths. Refugees
have had to flee in massive numbers, forced to live in subpar
refugee camps. This is a genocide committed by the US to preserve
the exploitation of resources and labor in the Middle East.
Origin of Terrorism
The Taliban originated from a sect of the mujahideen of Afghanistan,
a coalition against the USSR which the CIA and US military backed,
funding and arming them, transporting them into Afghanistan from
other countries, and even creating ‘Radio Free Afghanistan’ to
broadcast propaganda. Osama Bin Laden was also involved with
the mujahideen of Afghanistan, and the US sent money directly to
his group, which eventually formed Al Qaeda [6]. The US not only
funded these groups during the civil war, but had been funding and
supporting them for ten years prior to the war [7]. The Independent,
a British newspaper, ran a glowing article about Osama Bin Laden
shown below, exemplifying the attitude of western countries. Many
groups the US is now fighting against in the Middle East would
never have existed without US support.

No Military Threat to the United States

The attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, was
used to justify the invasion of Iraq. Even at that time, intelligence
reports indicated that there was no link between the government of
Iraq and Al-Qaeda, and none of those responsible for the attack
were in Iraq [3]. When the US supported and potentially created the
overthrow of Gaddafi in Libya, there was no indication that Gaddafi
in any way threatened the US. Neither country threatened our
safety, but both countries threatened the US exploitation of their
people. Iraq had massive reserves of oil, owned by the Iraqi state.
The US government was afraid that Iraq could use their oil as a
