JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plans and coordinates activities of workers in operation and maintenance of waterworks system to ensure adequate
water supply for human consumption, industrial or agricultural use.
Schedules and coordinates activities concerned with processing and distributing water.
Assigns personnel to shifts to operate filtering and chemical treatment, coagulating and settling basins, and other
plant facilities.
Determines action to be taken in event of emergencies such as machine, equipment or power failure, or need to
release dammed water to affect flood control.
Prepares plans and specifications for new equipment or modification of existing equipment to affect increased
operational capacity or efficiency.
Reviews and evaluates water reports, records, logs, and graphs to confirm adequacy of present and projected water
needs.
Prepares budget estimates based on anticipated material and personnel needs.
May prepare reports concerned with chemical and bacteriological analyses of water for administrative purposes
and governmental agencies.
Well experience of Central Control Room Operation (SCADA/DCS system).
I have knowledge about operating & maintaining of water treatment plant (R.O.)
Handling all types of measuring and checking equipments used in water treatment plant.
Well experience with the operation of various types of pumps such as a Centrifugal, Submersible Pump,
Reciprocating, and booster Pumps, Fire Water pumps and different types of Valves, like solenoid, Motorized, Butter
fly, gate, globe and gear types butter fly valves etc.

Knowing the procedure of sedimentation, aeration and filtration.

Having different types of chemical for plant operation like H2SO4, Chlorine, Caustic Soda lime and Magnesium
Carbonate and Anti-scaling and their preparation and observing proper chemical dosing.
Handling different types of plant equipment including high capacity Air blower and pumps of variable capacities
(Both centrifugal positing displacement and screw type).
To wash the filter bed as per requirement (DMF, MMF, Sand Filter, Carbon Filter and Ultra filter).
Preparation of Log book, Log sheet weekly and monthly and daily report.
I am fully conversant and well versed with safety appliances according to job and its functions. Also having good
experience to take care regarding safety machine & equipments.
Having good knowledge of checking the whole units (Machine & Equipment), which are fitted in water treatment
plant?
Familiar with membrane maintenance, cleaning procedures and activities.
Familiar with Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance.

To implement the pumping program in coordination with all pumping & receiving station .
Monitor the operation and station parameters in coordination with all control rooms record the relevant
parameters in operation log book.
Carry out sampling.
Receive the security guards and line walkers report.
Report any equipment mal function and break down to the location in charge and record same in maintenance log
book.
Issue cold work &hot work permit.
Prepare report as per job.
Pipe line maintenance.
Motor, pump and valve maintenance.
