Background

The NMEICT Virtual Labs project has at this time created ~117 labs (1 Lab is a collection of 8-10 experiments) covering concepts in various engineering and science
curricula. These can be accessed at http://vlabs.ac.in (http://vlabs.ac.in).

Motivation

However there remains a need for additional content to be created, primarily to fill gaps in syllabi, but also towards developing improved versions of content
already hosted. Consequently, we encourage Lab Developers to come forward to develop such content.

What is it about

To facilitate creation of such content, we are conducting this Boot Camp. We expect that this will enable collaborative development of content, with Developers
both seeking and sharing best technology and pedagogy practices.

The expected Outcome

Participants will be creating new experiments and their creation shall be hosted live during the Boot Camp on the Community Portal Vlabs-Dev
(/gitlab/Community-Docs/Vlabs-BootCamp/master/vlabs.iitb.ac.in/vlabs-dev) ; we will arrange for expert review of content created.
And guess what ?
to make your ideas flow into experiment creation smoothly, we have designed the Boot Camp in a way that there is no prior programming knowledge required.

Who can join ?
Students and Faculties belonging to all the subjects from Science and Engineering, Degree & Polytechnic Colleges across India can Join.
There is no prior programming knowledge required. Just bring in some curiosity, creativity, ideas packed with enthusiasm

When ?
The Boot Camp is going to be held from 5th Feb 2018 till 9th Feb 2018
Daily 8 am to 9 pm Its a full 5 Days program, we strongly recommend you to plan your travel, arrive one day before and depart the next day after the BootCamp.

Get ready for the Brainstorming Sessions. The Boot Camp is going to run continuously from 9 am on 5th Feb till 9 pm on 9th Feb.

What is a Virtual Lab Git Install Basic HTML Controls Data Type , User Inputs and Outputs

Designing Pedagogy for an effective lab Git Config Introduction to CSS3 Math Functions , Decision Making

Story boarding for Simulations Git Clone Training on Framework Looping, Arrays, Functions

Activity Git Add, Commit, Push . Graphs, Sketching, Mouse Events

. Git Forking . Object Oriented programming.

. Git Branching . Drag and Drop, Animation and Simulation.

. Activity . in-synced with a live activity

Some Pre-requisites

Hardware: Laptop with wireless adapter( wireless lan card/WiFi).

Software: OS: Windows or Linux : Install as per the table below.
