mid-progress reports for 1st Term. Our goal is to use
mid-progress report data to determine after-school
support for students. As always, teachers and support staff
will continuously encourage students to attend school on a
daily basis, complete assignments on time, and strive for
excellence. We want to see a significant increase in the
number of students who earn the honor roll.

In yet another strong showing last Monday, the Lady Tigers defeated Snowden 7 - 3, with goals scored by
seniors, Grace Burns (4) and Anissa Baptiste (2 ), as well as sophomore, McRae Wiederer, On Thursday, the

In a tough defensive battle on Wednesday, the Tigers tied Division 1 powerhouse, Catholic Memorial 1 - 1 with
the lone OB goal scored by freshman, Kristian Dhamo. On Saturday, the Tigers defeated Snowden 2- 1 with
goals scored by senior, Daniel Cano and freshman, Kristian Dhamo.

Congratulations to Red Sox Scholar and O'Bryant 8th grader Kassidi Thompson, who opened ALDS Game 2 at
Fenway Park with a rousing, "Play Ball!" (photos 11-13);
Walking club: Arboretum last Friday saw a 281 year old bonsai tree! Special thanks to Ms. Rosenfield and her
daughter Hannah for joining the club! The club is off to Franklin Park this Friday, where last year Ms. Smith
was kind enough to introduce us to Schoolmaster Hill (photos 14-16);

NJROTC cadets participates in the Walk for Breast Cancer: On September 30, 2018, was a most cadets who joined in
volunteering to help in the event, cheering on the runners and walkers this year who were quite happy to get the support.
The cadets of the John D O’Bryant NJROTC were able to walk around and get some accessories, hats, bandanas, and more
from the central Breast Cancer meeting place, I’m sure even Chief got something! When we were standing and guiding the
walkers and runners for the breast cancer event, I myself was happy to see so many who were so optimistic and energized,
showing their support to those who survived or are still being treated for the disease. I felt happy being able to wish so
many people a good morning or good day, having many of those people smile made me feel like I was doing something
good. This not only allowed us to show our O’bryant pride and the pride we have in NJROTC, we were able to show our
support to those who are still being treated or have been treated for breast cancer. I believe this is a foretelling of much
