1 Foreword
As we know that our company have the phone product of OEM/ODM, and each vendor provide 3 major
tools(miniAST/AST2/AFT) for service using, it always confuse us for which tool we need to use for which
model. Now we hope that ASUSPCTool could solve the issue, it is a shell tool that is designed to combine
same function tools for each vendor (e.g. ASUS/HQ/Wind/WingTech/Arima….) and also provide the
feature for auto update. Moreover, here will use ASUS_miniAST to demonstrate.

2 Objective
2.1 Scope: Model: 2014 model or later
2.2 Relevant Document：Here only introduce the feature of ASUSPCTool, please refer to each SOP for
miniAST/AST2/AFT if need.

3 Prepare item

4 File Structure

A. The corresponding tool’s SOP(e.g. miniAST_ASUS… ) would be placed here.

B. The related tools would be stored here.
C. The main program of ASUSPCTool.
D. The config file of ASUSPCTool.

5 Interface Introduction

A. You can select model from the model list

B. Keyword search, you can search model by keyword
C. To launch corresponding tool by the model you selected

6 Operation process
6.1 Click the ASUSPCTool*.exe to start ASUSPCTool

6.2 Model selected

There are 2 ways to select model:
6.2.1 Model list

6.2.2 Keyword search

EX.
Input keyword of ZS620 then tap “search” to find related models and list out.

If you see the message of “Please select a model” after tap the button of Launch *, please select
model from the model list again then tap the button of Launch *.

6.3 Launch corresponding tool

Please tap “Launch *” to start corresponding tool after model selected.

7 Update Function
The new function will check there is an updates available or not and file integrity at the same time after
tap the button of Launch *”.
7.1 New update available
Please do a choice when the message appear:
Y=Update to latest version immediately.
N=No update at this time, but will be updated after 7 days.

Note:
Please follow below steps to input account & password when the authentication realm appears.
Account=ASUSPCTool_USER
Password=asus#1234

7.2 Files missing

The function will mandatorily restore missing files when the message appears and then launch
corresponding tool after updated.
