Land News
During the month of September was done the pruning and tied in 100% of the batches.
We also made the first “long watering” of the season, to stimulate the sprouting of the
vineyards. This “long watering” is composed by 3 consecutives irrigations of 12 hours
each.
The last days of September started the sprouting of the white variety of Chardonnays
Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier, to keep on the first days of October with the red Merlot
and Petit Verdot.
On October 2 took place a freeze without apparent consequences over The Vines
vineyards. As protection method, we performed, 48 hour before, a superficial irrigation
on the vineyards. Upon the moister of the soil increased the absorption of the sun
radiation during the day, slowly freeing the heat of the night, helping to oppose the low
temperatures.
