 ELUCIDATION OF THE MEANING OF ‘THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST’ AS USED IN THE
BIBLE

• “Throughout the New Testament we find a pattern of the "testimony of Jesus"

referring to the believer's personal witness about Jesus Christ. Rather than being
the prophetic utterances received from Jesus, the testimony of Jesus is the
believer's personal testimony about Jesus. The "testimony of Jesus" is found in the
writings of the New Testament, whose writers personally knew Christ and bore
witness to Him. Furthermore, John tells us that the testimony of Jesus is found in the
heart of all those who accept and believe in Jesus as the Son of God: He that
believeth on the Son of God hath the witness [marturia] in himself (1 John 5:10)
Therefore, the "testimony of Jesus" cannot be used to uniquely identify the SDA
Church as the remnant church of Bible prophecy. Revelation clearly teaches that John
had the "testimony of Jesus" (Rev. 1:9), the martyrs had it (Rev. 6:9), and John's
brethren had it (Rev. 19:10). None of these ever knew Ellen White, so it could not
refer directly to her. The gift of prophecy is available to any church led by the Holy
Spirit. However, the era of major prophets has ended.“God, who at sundry times
and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in
these last days spoken unto us by his Son." (Heb. 1:1,2)

• “The Lord has given me a view of other worlds. Wings were given me, and an angel
attended me from the city to a place that was bright and glorious. The grass of the
place was living green, and the birds there warbled a sweet song. The inhabitants of
the place were of all sizes, they were noble, majestic and lovely. They bore the
express image of Jesus, and their countenances beamed with holy joy, expressive
of the freedom and happiness of the place. I asked one of them why they were so
much more lovely than those on the earth. The reply was—“we have lived in strict
obedience to the commandments of God, and have not fallen by disobedience, like
those on the earth.” Then I saw two trees, one looked much like the tree of life in
the city. The fruit of both looked beautiful; but of one they could not eat. They had
power to eat of both, but were forbidden to eat of one. Then my attending angel
said to me—“none in this place have tasted of the forbidden tree; but if they
should eat they would fall.” Then I was taken to a world which had seven moons.
There I saw good old Enoch, who had been translated…. I asked him if this was the
place he was taken to from the earth. He said, “It is not; but the city is my home, and
I have come to visit this place.” He moved about the place as if perfectly at home. I
begged of my attending angel to let me remain in that place. I could not bear the
thought of coming back to this dark world again. Then the angel said—“you must go
back, and if you are faithful, you, with the 144,000 shall have the privilege of

• “Satan, who is the father of lies, deceived Adam in a similar way, telling him that
he need not obey God, that he would not die if he transgressed the law. But Adam
fell, and by his sin he opened the floodgates of woe upon our world. Again, Satan
told Cain that he need not follow expressly the command of God in presenting the
slain lamb as an offering. Cain obeyed the voice of the deceiver;[THIS IS NOT IN
THE BIBLE] and because God did not accept his offering, while He showed His

BLASPHEMOUS! ACCORDING TO ELLEN G WHITE AND SDA JESUS CHRIST IS NOT GOD BUT

THE SDA STARTED OFF AS UN-TRINITARIAN, SINCE ITS INCEPTION AND IN ORDER TO BECOME MORE

THE BIBLE STATES GOD IS A TRINITY
• Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
• Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me” (cf. 61:2; Jesus applies this to
Himself in Lk 4:16-30)
• Acts 5:3-4 “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was
it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast
thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto
God.”
• Who raised Jesus from the dead? Well, it was God the Father (Gal 1:1; 1 Thess
1:10); it was also Jesus Himself (Jn 2:19; 10:17-18); and it was the Holy Spirit (Rom
8:11).
• Who gave the new covenant? The Father (Jer 31:33-34); Jesus (Heb 8:1-13; 10:29;
12:24; 13:20); the Holy Spirit (Heb 10:15-17).
• Who sanctifies believers? The Father (1 Thess 5:23); Jesus (Heb 13:12); the Holy
Spirit (1 Pet 1:2).
• Who is the Creator? The Father (Gen 1:1; Is 44:24; Acts 17:24; Eph 3:9); Jesus (Jn
1:3; Col 1:16; Heb 1:8, 10); the Holy Spirit (Job 33:4)
• Who indwells believers? The Father (1 Cor 3:16a; 2 Cor 6:16; 1 Jn 3:24); Jesus (Jn
6:56; Rom 8:10; Eph 3:17); the Holy Spirit (Jn 14:16-17; Rom 8:9, 11; 1 Cor 3:16b).
The Bible even describes this in terms of different combinations: Father and Son (Jn
14:23); Father and Holy Spirit (Eph 2:21-22; 1 Jn 3:24); Son and Holy Spirit (Gal 4:6)
NOT ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD; THE ATONEMENT ACCORDING TO EGW AND SDA
• “The blood of Christ, while it was to release the repentant sinner from the
condemnation of the law, was not to cancel the sin; it would stand on record in the
sanctuary until the final atonement; so in the type the blood of the sin offering
removed the sin from the penitent, but it rested in the sanctuary until the day of

be placed. When the high priest, by virtue of the blood of the sin offering, removed
the sins from the sanctuary, he placed them upon the scapegoat [CHRIST WAS
SYMBOLIZED IN BOTH ANIMALS]. When Christ, by virtue of His own blood, removes
the sins of His people from the heavenly sanctuary at the close of His ministration, He
will place them upon Satan, who, in the execution of the judgment, must bear the
final penalty. The scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, never to come
again into the congregation of Israel. So will Satan be forever banished from the
presence of God and His people, and he will be blotted from existence in the final

GOD SAYS
• 1Pet 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we,
being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were
healed.”
 • Heb 9:28 “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many [IT IS FINISHED]; and
unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto
salvation.”

CAN WE SAY WE ARE SAVED NOW? EGW NO, GOD YES

• “Those who accept the Saviour, however sincere their conversion, should never be
taught to say or to feel that they are saved. This is misleading. Every one should be
taught to cherish hope and faith; but even when we give ourselves to Christ and
know that He accepts us, we are not beyond the reach of temptation[Corinthians
10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but
will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it.]. God’s word declares, “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried.” Daniel

Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on
the name of the Son of God.”

CAN SOMEONE ELSE BUT CHRIST CARRY MY SINS? EGW YES, GOD, NO

He permits him to be as if he had not been, while the master must endure the seven

DOES GOD REQUIRE A TRESPASS OFFERING FROM US BEFORE HE PARDONS US? SDA AND EGW

you can do is to bring a trespass offering to the altar of the Lord, and He will accept
and pardon you. But where you can, you should make reparation to the wronged

CAN THE FAITH OF BELIEVING PARENTS SAVE THEIR CHILDREN? EGW YES, GOD NO
