TOPIC : Fundamental Skills

CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding of guidelines and principles in exercise program
design to achieve personal fitness.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learner modifies the individualized exercise program to achieve personal fitness.

LESSON STAGES LEARNING STRATEGIES

Introduction ROUTINE ACTIVITY:


 Students are task to keep the unnecessary things which are
not included to the subject and arrange the chairs accordingly.
 Opening prayer to be led by the prayer leader.

SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOME:


At the end of the session the students are expected to:
 Differentiate locomotor from non-locomotor;
 Cooperate during group quiz;
 Listen attentively during class discussions.

Motivation Guide Questions:


 Who among you here has a knowledge about locomotor and
non-locomotor?
 What is the difference between the two?
 Can you sight some examples?

Instruction Lesson Proper


 Students will take down notes while the discussion is going
on.
 The discussion will start with introducing the topic.
 Sequence of discussion:
I. Locomotor Skills
II. Non-locomotor Skills
III. Manipulative Skills

Enrichment  The class set into a new grouping. They will be divided into 6
groups
 Each group will be task to prepare a 1/4 crosswise containing
the names of the members
 All groups will be staying at the back of the classroom
 In each item one representative will come in front to reveal
the answer
 The group will be given 40 seconds to come up with their
answer
 Signal will be given before the representatives will come in
front
 Failure to follow the mechanics will be disqualified for that
specific item

Evaluation Ranking of Scores:

First Place………………….. 25 POINTS


Second Place……………... 23 POINTS
Third Place…………………. 20 POINTS
Fourth until Six Places…. 18 POINTS

Assignment Next meeting the class will conduct a role play and reporting of the
specific topic topics that will be assigned to them.

GROUP 4 -------------- Healthy Lifestyle Habits (1-4)
