2019 Wanda Hendricks Bellamy Student Leadership Conference


“Operation Excellence: Next Generation Leadership”
Students should illustrate or describe ideas related to the conference
theme:
“Operation Excellence: Next Generation Leadership”
Use drawings, paintings, photography, video art, and poetry to
share your vision and talent to demonstrate our conference theme.
All contestants’ artwork and poetry will be placed in personalized
frames and the winner’s artwork and poetry will be unveiled at the
awards banquet.

 Interpretation and clarity of the conference  All contest entries must be submitted

 All artwork and poetry submissions
must be submitted in paper form in 8.5” Contact#: (843) 661-8359
x 11” only.
 Acceptable artwork methods are paint,
dark pencil drawings, markers, ink,
crayon, chalk, computer-generated
designs, and video art.
 Poetry must be submitted typed using Gwyndolyn Swinton
black ink in Times New Roman font face “The Climber’s Guide”
and no smaller than 12 font size. SSS, Florence-Darlington Technical College
 Artwork and poetry must be student’s
original work. Plagiarism will not be
tolerated. No group artwork or writings
will be accepted. One entry per student.
 By submission of artwork or poetry,
contestants and/or legal guardians grant
to WHBSLC Committee non-exclusive Carlos Cooper, Jr.
reproduction and publication rights to “20/20 Vision”
the works submitted.
UB – Williamsburg Technical College
 Contest is open to all TRiO, PBI, and
GearUp students attending the
conference. Students must be registered
and present at the conference.
