PROJECT TITLE: AN ON-CALL WRISTLET DEVICE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZENS

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

About 6 million of the country’s population had disability while ages 60 and up are of 8 million as
per Live Population Clock Philippines 2018. These types of people are more likely to need a companion,
especially for people with disabilities. They are sometimes left alone at home. The researchers had an
interview with a parent that has a child with PWD and had agreed that since she had to work, her son was
left alone. There was an instance that she didn’t know that he was sick and later found out he had a high
fever. The parent agreed that the existence of a project that will help her be called or at least assist his
child’s need would be of big help. Regarding to value of the project with a senior citizen, the researchers
asked a 68-year old woman and agreed that it was a great idea. Since her daughters are working abroad
and her husband already passed-away, she is now alone. However, she didn’t want any helper, and if
possible, she preferred to use such device that will enable her to get her needs in just one-click away.

The project, which is an on-call wristlet device, will give full-pledged assistance to PWD’S and senior
citizens thru the following features:

1. Doctor/Guardian to Patient Monitoring – the doctor has an app that will enable her to check her
patient.
2. 24/7 delivery with the closest pharmacy (as per accurate prescription from the doctor entered
thru the application)
3. Old/Blind patients will have a separate device for their one-click assistance.
4. Device will have a Bluetooth features from the device to the app).
5. It will have a separate button for the nearest hospital or police station which will also be given a
data for the location of the patient.

The Device and the cellphone application will be named as iEnabled. The device will be designed for easy
access which will be composed of buttons with braille – and this may cater those who are unable to see
or may not be able to understand on how to use applications. On the other hand, the features of the
wristlet device will be copied on the applications. Both has a capability of contacting pharmacy, doctor
and police station.

PROJECT TITLE: A DEVICE THAT CAN REDUCE THE RISK OF ROAD ACCIDENT USING THE GLOBAL
POSITIONING SYSTEM

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

 Based on an observation, as of April 11, 2018, in every 4 out of hundred thousand of Filipino are
killed due to road accident and 193 are injured. 110,025 road crash incidents in 2017, everyday most of
the people are leaving their homes. Most of the studies are proving that accidents are not predictable
but through this device. Accident can be predicted through Global Positioning System. Device called
Accident Prediction Alert in which all of the users who bought the device are registered through
database. The device can be attached to the vehicle system in which every move of the user is being
track.

This device features are:

1. Vehicle has on time tracking system.

2. Device can predict each other movement, whether the nearest driver overtakes, inconstant
movement, turning left, turning right or in emergency to prevent collision
3. Device will start the alarm in case of predict accident ahead of time.
4. Additional feature is the driver can predict if the road along the way is congested.
5. Device can give alternate route in case of the accident ahead.
6. In case of lost vehicle, you can track through the online application.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

Based on an observation hikers, bikers and other fitness joggers rely on good hydration before
and after an exercise or workout and it is very difficult to wake up early in the morning and prepare a
good beverage for the road but with this tumbler our innovation aims to aid just that a tumbler that can
pre heat or pre cold a drink on the go where ever when ever you need it.

This device features are:

1. A tumbler that lets you adjust the temperature.

2. A tumbler that can maintain a temperature for hours.
3. A tumbler that is always ready to go for a fast and easy beverage.
4. Easy to use cost efficient and lightweight stainless

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

Last September is one of the most tragic happened this year due to Super typhoon, floods are
very predictable. This year, as of January 2018 – June 1 2018 there are 1,030 people are died from the
leptospirosis. Flood is the major cause why people suffered from this. In research, we cannot prevent
flood because of today’s condition but we can prevent people dying from leptospirosis. As a prevention,
a device called lept will be used. This device is used to detect the leptospirosis by testing the level of PH
in water, whereas, this kind of bacteria are being tested multiple times coming from rat and tested the
sample of flood.

This device features are:

1. A device where you can asses the contamination of a water may it be a beverage or bathwater
flood etc.
2. A device that you can use to ensure your health and to avoid contamination
3. A device that can save lives and can pre determine the toxicity or some components in the said
h20 solution.
