CRITERIA FOR JUDGING/INDICATORS:

1. GARDEN QUALITY – 40 POINTS
a. Utilization of recycled materials in gardening (containers, etc.) - 15 points
b. Layout, Design and Creativity - 15 points
c. Crop diversity - 20 points
- With source of protein (leguminous vegetable like beans, mongo, pea, etc.)
- With source of calorie/energy (root crops such as gabi, camote, cassava, etc.)
- With source of Vitamin A and Iron (leafy green vegetables)
- With indigenous vegetables (saluyot, kulitis, alugbati, sigarilyas, etc.)
- With herbal plants
- Other crops planted for better diversity
2. SUSTAINABILITY – 25 POINTS
a. Adoption of the principles of sustainability - 10 points
- Involvement of family members in the establishment of the garden
- Continuous production
b. Adoption of Organic Farming Practice - 15 points
- No waste gardening
- Establishment of compost bins or vermi bins
- Proper application of organic fertilizers
- Preparation and utilization of organic concoctions
3. GARDEN PRODUCTIVITY – 15 POINTS
- Harvest quantity, quality and performance - 5 points
- Food from garden to table - 10 points
