Invention of gun-powder brought a revolution in offensive
and defensive war fare. Destruction brought about by it forced Nobel to repent and to create a trust for recognizing good work for the improvement of human society. The second revolution was mechanization of war efforts. Discovery, innovations and improvements continue. Perfecting of nuclear arsenal was expected to bring a stop to armed conflicts in the world. However, it did not so happen. Dishonesty, intrigue and exploitation by nuclear armed powers resulted in nuclear rat race. Nuclear powers tried to create uni-polar system of government in the world. Being against the human approach, this effort failed. But the sphere of control and influence increased in favour of these powers. Humanity has paid a colossal price in lives, dignity, independence and resources. All this cost should have been bourne by these unscrupulous powers. Nuclear technology was exploited and huge profits were made both financially and influentially. Perforce other countries tried to acquire the nuclear technology. The super powers came down with super highhandedness on such nations stating that world peace would be injured. Conveniently, the super powers did not address the point that their nuclear monopoly breakup would result in colossal financial and influential loss to them. It is noteworthy that use of nuclear power can be resorted to against non-nuclear nations only. Acquisition of nuclear arms, presently, acts only as deterrent against a nuclear enemy. It cannot be used to unleash Armageddon. The super powers utilized this phenomenon to keep up and increase their hold on the world by controlling and supplying non nuclear arsenal throughout. India was permitted to carry out its nuclear aspirations but when its nuclear capability was demonstrated blood- sucking restrictions were imposed on Pakistan. Pakistan was made to suffer financially, diplomatically and in defence matters. Systematically Pakistan was wrung dry. Along side, efforts were launched to destabilized Pakistan. General Pervaiz Musharaf was imposed as a ruler. Thereafter, each and every national institution was maimed and broken in such a way that the nation might loose collective cohesion and social integrity. A path, to demolish and dismember Pakistan was started to emerge. The global position of the country, coupled with common tried interests, made Pakistan survived through Chinese support. In the meantime America had destroyed Iraq and had taken full control of its resources, though did not fully succeed in Afghanistan. For these reasons Pakistan was not able to take such benefits which it could legitimately expect from nuclear achievement. Internal disruption was created by the power controllers even by utilizing peace keeping organizations. Pakistani citizens, their lives, liberty and person were traded with foreign powers. Needless to say, to secure the life and liberty of a Pakistani is the first and foremost duty of a legitimate national government. It was unscrupulously infringed. Even now, the threads which remain are the target of the persons in power, either in the executive or in politics. The ones who opposed it and are fighting for the existence and ideology of the nation are side-lined on one pretext or the other. The purposed amendments in the Constitution revolved around the tenure of Judges, thereby restricting the independence of judiciary. Such action was not resorted to in Constitution 1956, Constitution 1962 and the Constitution 1973 as it stands today. The command of armed forces is also sought to be changed. Article 270AAA and 270CC are directed to safe guard the illegal actions of the President and the executives. These and other purposed amendments are directed to create indemnity for the past invalid and illegal orders, ordinances, etc. Thereby giving a clean slate to General Musharaf. It is a reward to him for enforcing the invalid National Reconciliation Ordinance, etc. The master of the country, under the purposed constitutional amendments shall be replaced by the Prime Minister. These amendments will make the Prime Minister the post powerful autocrat. Under any other constitution of the world, no chief execute is so empowered. Infact such powers will be more than the powers enjoyed by Adolf Hitler. Detailed comments on purposed constitutional amendments will follow. The nation voted for ousting of a cruel dictator. The fate seems to be that their may be replacement, but not change of attitude and behavior. We are at crossroads of history. The mandate by the public is being misinterpreted and misused. Artificial crises have been created in respect of food, electricity and security. The government has practically given up his basic duty to protect its citizens. In reaction the public has taken in hand its own security. It is amazing that the state organs are taking exception to the public actions. Can it be so when the government has either failed or omitted to carry out its basic duties? Brothers in Pakistan and elsewhere! rise to save your ideology, your nation, your honour and yourselves. Save what has been achieved through dauntless continued sacrifices. Our forefathers gave us a country to live in. Let us leave for our children a country which they can claim to be their own. We have to get rid to the persons who through their acts, omissions and purposed amendments want to create an autarchy for themselves and their children. Let it be known that for murderers of members of Pakistan nation who have acted most undignified, their can be a dignified way out. The nation cannot afford Meer Jafars and Meer Qasims.
