simplification, the PV system is taken as a constant DC
Voltage source. The output response of the boost converter, is
controlled by changing its duty cycle and the controller is
planned to change the duty cycle. The simulation is
formulated by MATLAB simulation program and PSIM
software. Using fuzzy logic controller duty cycle of PWM
signal is yielded. Taking into account the value of duty cycle
simulation results demonstrate that the output voltage of the
boost converter can be controlled. With the help of fuzzy logic
tool box, fuzzy logic controller has been applied to the system.
The assessing of output has been accomplished and equated Figure 1: DC-DC Boost Converter

B. Fuzzy Logic Controller

The knowledge base of a FLC consists of two parts namely

a fuzzy rule base and a data base [2]. Then a rule base that
means a agglomeration of IF-THEN rules from which
control strategy is derived. the concepts associated with a
data base are used to characterize fuzzy rules and data
manipulation in a fuzzy logic controller : input and output
scaling factors, membership functions of related fuzzy sets,
a fuzzy reasoning method and defuzzification algorithm.

In this work, FLC with feedback is carried out by

introducing voltage output. The output response of the
system will support fuzzy controller to contribute
approximate evaluation of steady state signal. For this
propose fuzzy logic controller functions like a smart
controller. This technique can be readily implemented to
multifold of dc-dc converter topologies such as Step-down,
Step-Up and Both[1]. The principal strategy of a FLC is
depicted in figure 2 and comprises of these main parts such
as: a fuzzyfication interface; a knowledge base; a decision-
making logic; a defuzzification interface [1].

A. Single output and two input Fuzzy Controller
An analysis of step up converter circuit displayed
shows how the current through inductor determines the
change of output of step up converter[1]. Besides it
provides storage of energy data in the converter. Hence
any alteration of inductor current may regulate output
voltage and so steady state condition data of converter will
be determined. Yet, the three principal criterion required to
be compute when modeling boost converters comprising of
inductor, capacitor and power switch. The aim is to reach
the required response by planning the power electronic
device .

VI. CONCLUSION
Primarily, the controllers for a DC- DC converter
have been planned by using the fuzzy tool box ,PI
controller and then it is simulated in MATLAB,PSIM
software . Then, for a BOOST DC-DC converter this is
realized .The results acquired by altering the different
parameters like the output inductor value, output voltage
and soon have shown that the output voltage for a fuzzy
controller has faster dynamic than for a PI conventional
controller [4]. Moreover, it has been verified that by
altering different parameters, the fuzzy controller remains
unaltered. In comparison with conventional controllers, it
provides enhanced performances in terms of overshoot
constraint and sensitivity to parameter deviations.
