1. The place of pastimes is superior to place of birth, because at

birth nothing has happened, the glories of the person have not been
established. Pastimes in Govardhana are more intimate than in
Vrndavana. Higher rasa lila at rasa sthali in Govardhana. At Radha
kunda the love of Krsna overflows and the site of many pastimes of
Radha and Krsna.
2. Rupa Gosvami has given stress to Radha Kunda because of Lord
Caitanya’s desire to find it. Who then would give up Radha Kunda and
try to reside elsewhere.
3. The previous verse answered the question of where to perform bhajan.
The answer was Vrndavana and this verse tells us where in Vrndavana.
4. The glories of Radha Kunda are not understood by devotees who have
not taken shelter of Lord Caitanya.
Notes on Text 10
1. Karmi means one who follows the vedic principles of performing pious
acts to achieve a higher birth.
2. Fruitive actors who do not care for vedic injuntions perform impious
activities for sense gratification are called vikarmis. They take birth
as animals, trees and plants. All their activities are parabhava,
defeated for they will become animals in the next life.
3. The jnanis knows the difference between the body and soul and
understands the futility of fruitive activities and how they bind him.
He is considered superior to a karmi because he refrains from blind
activities of sense enjoyment. Still a jnani is considered impure if he
has no knowledge of devotional service. After many births he may take
to bhakti.
4. A devotee with prema is the best, and among these devotees, the
gopis are the best because they don’t know anything other than
satisfying Krsna nor do they expect anything from Krsna.
5. Separation is higher than meeting and the gopis are highest because
they were always merged in separation. Radharani is the best among the
gopis because no one can excel her devotion.
6. Even Krsna cannot understand her, so he took her position as
Caitanya Mahaprabhu to understand her feelings.
7. Thus Rupa Gosvami concludes that Radharani is the most exalted and
her kunda is the most exalted place. As She is the most dear to Krsna,
her kunda is the most dear to Krsna.
8. Therefore everyone should take shelter of Radha Kunda and execute
devotional service throughout one’s life. But wait till one is
qualified.
