Jessica declared suspect in Mirna’s murder – The police have named Jessica Kumala Wongso a suspect in
the murder of Wayan Mirna Salihin, who died soon after drinking cyanide-laced coffee at Olivier
restaurant at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Jan. 6.

Jessica, who shared a table at the restaurant with Mirna and Hani on Jan. 6, was arrested by the police
on Saturday at a hotel in North Jakarta.

‘Jessica was arrested at 7 a.m. [on Saturday],’ said Jakarta Police general crimes director Sr. Corm.
Krishna Murti in Jakarta on Saturday, adding that it had been decided to declare Jessica a suspect on
Friday night.

Since the death of Mirna, the police focused their investigation on Jessica, searching her house and
questioning her several times as well as her maid, who reportedly discarded the pants Jessica wore at
the restaurant.

The police also questioned Hani, a relative of Mirna, and employees of Olivier restaurant and held three
reconstructions of Mirna’s death at the restaurant. They also sought help from the Australian Federal
Police to obtain information about Mirna’s life in the country.

Jessica visited the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) on Wednesday to file a report,
saying she was being treated like a suspect by the police and the media.

Before declaring Jessica a suspect, the police and prosecutors met on Friday to discuss the case

Arita Sukamti, a beautiful woman who worked as a secretary was found dead on her
desk, located on the 1st Floor, Mall Mangga Three Square, North Jakarta. The woman
who worked as a new secretary and was still 26-year-old died with 14 stab wounds.

The sister who was also the boss of Arita in an insurance company, alleged that the
killing was carried out because of revenge motive.

North Jakarta Police got news about this murder case when the sister, Farida, reported
that his younger sister was killed in tragic condition on January 2, 2015. At the
beginning, Farida contacting her younger sister, but no one answer it. She then became
quite suspicious and went to the office where the victim was working overtime. When
she reached the firm area, she was convinced that something bad has happened to her
sister. She immediately ran to the first floor and found his sister died with blood around
her.

15 minutes after Farida’s calling, two police immediately came to the crime scene. They
found 14 puncture and various incision in the neck and hands of the victim. Provisional
estimating, the victim’s boyfriend was accused as the murder

Wily (19) was very sad to know that his father Suharto (42) was killed bloody on
Sudirman Street, Natar, South Lampung, Lampung. His mother, Sarinah (40) which
came a few moments later was crying when she saw the body of her husband who is no
longer alive in Harapan Kita Hospital.

According to Andi (29), a witness in that place, Wednesday (07/01/2015) morning,

Suharto who is a teacher in Tegineneng, Pesawaran District, Lampung is a victim of hit
and run in car accident. “I was sitting in the stalls. Suddenly I heard a truck that stopped
all of sudden then I saw a man was lying on the road. Afterwards, the truck was
running” he said.

Traffic Police officers who arrived on the Location at Pesawaran directly committed the
crime scene. Police also collected a number of witnesses to be asked for information.
Until now, the truck driver is still unknown.
