• Selection of Latent concepts in pLSA using an Information criterion (September 2010- Current)
• Parameter selection for EM clustering using Information Criterion and PDDP ( March-July 2010 )

o Generalization of the algorithm to implement a cluster splitting approach based on Principal Direction Divisive Partitioning
o Results of comparison among different Information Criterion techniques

• Automatic Detection of number of clusters in a Gaussian Mixture using EM and BIC ( January-March 2010 )

o No input required from the user

o Unlike previous clustering algorithms like X-Means, it does not assume spherical symmetry thus doesn’t over-fit
o Implementation in C++ using OpenCV library

• Implementation of Web based Image similarity search using a user defined similarity criterion (September-November 2009 )

o Designed a Vulnerability Assessment plugin in NASL(Nessus Attack Scripting Language)

o Created a lightweight portable media player in JAVA using the JAVA Media Framework and in C# using Bass.NET with the
capability of playing .wav and .mp3 files
