Responsive Housing: Larson’s research group is developing strategies to create high-


performance, technology-enabled personalized apartments.

He wants to build houses where the walls can move and transform the place in a bedroom,
living room, dining room, kitchen, etc.

QUESTIONS:

Why is his idea important? -> Because, in 50 years in our city as a example, we will be more
than today. Today we are three hundred thousand, in 50 years we will be 1 million or maybe
more. We don’t have enough space to build traditional houses, so we will have to use
technology to design excellent apartments in small spaces.
