and said to it and to the earth,Come both of you
willingly or unwillingly,they both said;we come willingly.
3-Who informed Muhammad(peace be upon him)the

Illiterate Prophet that the winds help in
fertilization(Pollination);Allah(Glory be to Him)said(And
We send the winds FERTILIZING;then cause the
water(rain)to descend from the sky,and We give it to
you to drink;and it is not you who are the owners of its
stores(i.e.to give water to whom you like or to withhold
it from whom you like)Do you think Muhammad was a
scientist of plants?!Nay!He lived in the desert since
more than 1400 years ago!

Illiterate Prophet that the moon was shining like the
sun completely,then Allah have obliterated its light and
rays!!
Allah ,the Almighty said;(And We appointed the night

and the day as two Ayat(signs,etc)then,We have
OBLITERATED THE SIGN OF THE NIGHT(with
darkness)while We have made the sign of the day
ILLUMINATING;that you may seek bounty from your
Lord and that you may know the number of the years
and the reckoning.And We have explained every thing(in

Illiterate Prophet that the the centers of the pain in the
skin alone!!Allah(the Almighty)said;Surely those who
disbelieved in Our Ayat(proofs,evidences,verses
,lessons ,signs ,revelations ,etc)We shall burn them in
Fire.As often as their skins are roasted through,We shall
CHANGE them for other skins that they may TASTE the
punishment.Truly;Allah is Ever Mosr Powerful ,All-
Wise!!!

Illiterate Prophet that the sun is in continal running!!!
Allah(Glory be to Him)said;(And the sun RUNS ON its
fixed Course for a term(appointed)that is the Decree of
the All-Mighty,the All-Knowing!

Illiterate Prophet that the mountains as pegs!!If we look
in the dictionary about the meaning of the word(peg)we
will find that it is something;most of it stinks in the
ground!and it helps in the steadiness.the scientists
discovered that the most of the mountains stinks in the
ground(i.e. the Everest Mountain)about 135 kilometers
of this mountain stinks in the ground ,and we can see
only 9 kilometers on the ground!so ,Allah ,described the
shape of the mountain and its function with one word!
because pegs help in the steadiness like the mountains
completely;(And He has set on the earth firm mountains
lest it should shake with you)!I think that you know
now;Why Allah(Glory be to Him)said(And the Mountains
as pegs)?!

Illiterate Prophet that,If we ascend to the sky,the
percentage of oxygen will decrease and that
causes(Oxygen Starvation)Allah;the Almighty said;(And
whomsoever Allah wills to guide;He opens his breast to
Islam;and whomsoever He wills to send astray,He
makes his breast closed and constricted as IF HE IS
CLIMBING UP TO THE SKY.Thus Allah puts the wrath on
those who believe not!!!

Illiterate Prophet with the internal waves and the
darkness in a vast deep seas,Allah(Glory be to
Him)said;Or(the state of a disbeliever)is like the
darkness in a vast deep sea,overwhelmed with waves
topped by waves,topped by dark clouds,(layers
of)darkness upon darkness;if a man stretches out his
hand ,he can hardly see it!And he for whom Allah has
not appointed light ,For him there is no light!!!
Illiterate Prophet that there is a BARRIER AND A
COMPLETE PARTITION BETWEEN THE PALATABLE SEA
AND THE SALT SEA!!!Allah(Glory be to Him)said(And it
is He who has let free the two seas(kinds of water)one
palatable and sweet,and the other salt and bitter,and
He has set a barrier and a complete partition between
them!!Remember Mohammad lived in the desert!!!

from what he is created!He is created from a water
gushing forth,proceeding from between the BACKBONE

know but he used to call himself the(son of

(son of God)in Matthew5:9 we read(Blessed are the

Lord,so be not one of those who doubt!!!
21:O Mankind!Worship your Lord(Allah)who created you

and those who were before you so that you may
become Al-Muttaqun(the pious).who has made the earth
aresting place for you,and the sky as acanopy,and sent
down water(rain)from the sky and brought forth
therewith fruits as aprovision for you.then do not set up
rivals unto Allah(in worship)while you know!!(that He
Alone has the right to be worshipped).
22:And if you(Arab pagans,Jews,and Christians)are in

doubt concerning that which We have sent down(the
Quran)to Our slave(Muhammad(peace be upon
him))then produce asurah(chapter)of the like thereof
and call your witnesses(supporters and helpers)besides
Allah if you are truthful! But if you do it not,and you can
never do it,then fear the Fire(Hell)whose fuel is men and
stones,prepared for the disbelievers!!!
23:Allah the Almighty said(And say:the truth is from

your Lord,then whosoever wills,let him believe,and
whosoever wills,let him disbelieve,Verily We have
prepared for the Zalimun(polytheists and wrong-
doers)afire whose walls will be surrounding

ask for help(relief,water)they will be granted water like

hidden from Us.Is he who is cast into the Fire better or
he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection?Do

Beginner's Introduction
Islam is the same religion that God revealed through His messengers
(peace be upon them) to all people. Islam is a complete way of life. It
impacts every part of life, from eating and sleeping to working and
playing. It is not only a personal religion, but also a social one.

from Allah. They were chosen by God to teach humanity and deliver
His Divine message. The Qur'an mentions the name of some of them
including Jews including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac,
Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah,
John the Baptist, and Jesus (peace be upon them).
Muslims also believe in another prophet named Muhammad who is a
direct descendant of Abraham through his first born son, Ishmael. His
prophethood is prophecied in the Bible in several places, including
Deut 18:18 and John 14:16. Mohammad stands as the last
messenger and the crowning glory of the foundation of prophethood.
Muslims believe in all original scriptures and revelations of Allah,
accepting them as the guiding light that the messengers received to
show their respective people the right path to Him. However, some of
these books and revelations had been lost or corrupted before the
revelation of the Qur'an. The only authentic and complete book of
Allah in existence today is the Qur'an, which has been preserved as it
was revealed to prophet Muhammad through Angel Gabriel in its
pristine, pure form.
The Qur'an contains many stories that are familiar to Christians and
Jews. It contains no scientific fallacies or internal contradictions. In
fact, it contains much scientific knowledge discovered by scientists
only in this century. The Qur'an is an unparalleled Arabic literary
masterpiece.
People living in the West and throughout the world should not allow
themselves to be ignorant about Islam and Muslims. For example,
there are ten million Muslims living in the United States out of 1.8
billion in the world. Only 18% of Muslims live in the Arab world.
Demographers say that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the
U.S. and the world. Islam is the second largest religion in America,
France, Great Britain and many more, surpassing Judaism,
Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, and other religions.
Bible Prophecies About The Advent Of Muhammad
Abraham is widely regarded as the Patriarch of monotheism and the

common father of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Through His
second son, Isaac, came all Israelite prophets including such
towering figures as Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and
Jesus, may peace and blessings be upon them all. The advent of
these great prophets was in partial fulfillment of God's promises to
bless the nations of earth through the descendants of Abraham
(Genesis 1 2:2-3). Such a fulfillment is wholeheartedly accepted by
Muslims whose faith considers the belief of these prophets, an article
of faith.
BLESSINGS OF ISHMAEL AND ISAAC
Was the first born son of Abraham (Ishmael) and his descendants
included in God's covenant and promise? A few verses from the Bible
may help shed some light on this question:
1. Genesis 12:2-3 speaks of God's promise to Abraham and his

descendants before any child was born to him.
2. Genesis 17:4 reiterates God's promise after the birth of Ishmael
and before the birth of Isaac.
3. In Genesis, ch. 21 . Isaac is specifically blessed but Ishmael was
also specifically blessed and promised by God to become "a great
nation" especially in Genesis 21:13, 18.
4. According to Deuteronomy 21:15-17 the traditional rights and
privileges of the first-born son are not to be affected by the social
status of his mother (being a "free" woman such as Sarah, Isaac's
mother, or a "Bondwoman" such as Hagar, Ishmael's mother). This is
only consistent with the moral and humanitarian principles of all
revealed faiths.
5. The full legitimacy of Ishmael as Abraham's son and "seed" and
the full legitimacy of his mother, Hagar, as Abraham's wife are clearly
stated in Genesis 21:13 and 16:3.
After Jesus, the last Israelite messenger and prophet, it was time that
God's promise to bless Ishmael and his descendants be fulfilled. Less
than 600 years after Jesus, came the last messenger of God,
Muhammad (peace be upon him), from the progeny of Abraham
through Ishmael. God's blessing of both of the main branches of
Abraham's family tree was now fulfilled. But are there additional
corroborating evidence that the Bible did in fact foretell the advent of
prophet Muhammad (pbuh)?
MUHAMMAD: The Prophet Like Unto Moses
Long time after Abraham, God's promise to send the long-awaited

Messenger was repeated this time in Moses' words. In Deuteronomy
18:18 , Moses spoke of the prophet to be sent by God who is:
1. From among the Israelite's "brethren", a reference to their

Ishmaelite cousins as Ishmael was the other son of Abraham who
was explicitly promised to become a "great nation".
2. A prophet like unto Moses. There were hardly any two prophets
who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon
them both). Both were given a comprehensive law code of life, both
encountered their enemies and were victors in miraculous ways, both
were accepted as prophets/statesmen and both migrated following
conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and
Jesus overlooks not only the above similarities but other crucial ones
as well (e.g. the natural birth, family life and death of Moses and
Muhammad but not of Jesus, who was regarded by His followers as
the Son of God and not exclusively a messenger of God, as Moses
and Muhammad were, and as Muslims believe Jesus was).
THE AWAITED PROPHET WAS TO COME FROM ARABIA
Deuteronomy 33:1-2 combines references to Moses, Jesus and

Muhammad. It speaks of God (i.e. God's revelation) coming from
Sinai, rising from Seir (probably the village of Sa'ir near Jerusalem)
and shining forth from Paran. According to Genesis 21:21 , the
wilderness of Paran was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia,
specifically Mecca).
Indeed the King James version of the Bible mentions the pilgrims
passing through the valley of Ba'ca (another name of Mecca) in
Psalms 84:4-6 .
Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the beloved of God. His elect and
messenger who will bring down a law to be awaited in the isles and
who "shall not fail nor be discouraged till he have set judgment on
earth." Verse 11 connects that awaited one with the descendants of
Ke'dar. Who is Ke'dar? According to Genesis 25:13 , Ke'dar was the
second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
MUHAMMAD'S MIGRATION FROM MECCA TO MEDINA:

PROPHESISED IN THE BIBLE?
Habakkuk 3:3 speaks of God (God's help) coming from Te'man (an
Oasis North of Medina according to J. Hasting's Dictionary of the
Bible), and the holy one (coming) from Paran. That holy one who
under persecution migrated from Paran (Mecca) to be received
enthusiastically in Medina was none but prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Indeed the incident of the migration of the prophet and his persecuted
followers is vividly described in Isaiah 21:13-17 . That section foretold
as well about the battle of Badr in which the few ill-armed faithful
miraculously defeated the "mighty" men of Ke'dar, who sought to
destroy Islam and intimidate their own folks who turned to Islam.
THE QUR'AN (KORAN) FORETOLD IN THE BIBLE?
For twenty-three years, God's words (the Qur'an) were truly put into
Muhammad's (pbuh) mouth. He was not the “11th author” of the
Qur'an, the Qur’an was dictated to Muhammad (pbuh) by Angel
Gabriel, who asked him to simply repeat the words of the Qur'an as
he heard them. These words were then committed to memory and to
writing by those who hear them during Muhammad's lifetime and
under his supervision.
Was it a coincidence that the prophet "like unto Moses" from the
"brethren" of the Israelites (i.e. from the Ishmaelites) was also
described as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he
will speak in the name of God., ( Deuteronomy 18:18-20 ). Was it also
a coincidence the "Paraclete" that Jesus foretold to come after Him
was described as one who "shall not speak of himself, but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak (John 16:13).
Was it another coincidence that Isaiah ties between the messenger

connected with Ke'dar and a new song (a scripture in a new
language) to be sang unto the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11 ). More explicitly,
prophesies Isaiah "For with stammering lips, and another tongue, will
he speak to this people" (Isaiah 28:11 ). This latter 'verse correctly
describes the "stammering lips" of Prophet Muhammad reflecting the
state of tension and concentration he went through at the time of
revelation. Another related point is that the Qur'an was revealed in
piece-meals over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to
compare this with Isaiah 28:10 which speaks of the same thing.
THAT PROPHET-PARACLETE-MUHAMMAD
Up to the time of Jesus (peace be upon him), the Israelites were still
awaiting for that prophet like unto Moses prophesied in Deuteronomy
18:18 . When John the Baptist came, they asked him if he was Christ
and he said "no". They asked him if he was Elias and he said "no".
Then, in apparent reference to Deuteronomy 18:18 , they asked him
"Art thou that Prophet" and he answered, "no". ( John 1: 1 9-2 1).
In the Gospel according to John ( Chapters 14, 15, 16 ) Jesus spoke

of the "Paraclete" or comforter who will come after him, who will be
sent by Father as another Paraclete, who will teach new things which
the contemporaries of Jesus could not bear. While the Paraclete is
described as the spirit of truth, (whose meaning resemble
Muhammad's famous title Al-Amin, the trustworthy), he is identified in
one verse as the Holy Ghost ( John 14:26 ). Such a designation is
however inconsistent with the profile of that Paraclete. In the words of
the Dictionary of the Bible , (Ed. J. Mackenzie) "These items, it must
be admitted do not give an entirely coherent picture."
Indeed history tells us that many early Christians understood the

Paraclete to be a man and not a spirit. This might explain the
followings who responded to some who claimed, without meeting the
criteria stipulated by Jesus, to be the awaited "Paraciete".
It was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was the

Paraclete, Comforter, helper, admonisher sent by God after Jesus.
He testified of Jesus, taught new things, which could not be borne at
Jesus' time, he spoke what he heard (revelation), he dwells with the
believers (through his well-preserved teachings). Such teachings will
remain forever because he was the last messenger of God, t he only
Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and
on the path of PRESERVED truth. He told of many things to come
which "came to pass" in the minutest detail meeting, the criterion
given by Moses to distinguish between the true prophet and the false
prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22 ). He did reprove the world of sin, of
righteousness and of judgment ( John 16:8-11 ).
WAS THE SHIFT OF RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP PROPHESIED?
Following the rejection of the last Israelite prophet, Jesus, it was

about time that God's promise to make Ishmael a great nation be
fulfilled (Genesis 21:13, 18 ).
In Matthew 21:19-21, Jesus spoke of the fruitless fig tree (A Biblical
symbol of prophetic heritage) to be cleared after being given a last
chance of three years (the duration of Jesus' ministry) to give fruit. In
a later verse in the same chapter, Jesus said: "Therefore, say I unto
you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and given to
a nation bringing forth the fruit thereof" (Matthew 21:43). That nation
of Ishmael's descendants (the rejected stone in Matthew 21:42)
which was victorious against all super-powers of its time, as
prophesied by Jesus: "And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be
broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder"
(Matthew 21:44).
OUT OF CONTEXT COINCIDENCE?
Is it possible that the numerous prophecies cited here are all

individually and combined out of context misinterpretations? Is the
opposite true, that such infrequently studied verses fit together
consistently and clearly point to the advent of the man who changed
the course of human history, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him)? Is it reasonable to conclude that all these prophecies,
appearing in different books of the Bible and spoken by various
prophets at different times were all coincidence? If this is so, here is
another strange " coincidence"!
One of the signs of the prophet to come from Paran (Mecca) is that
he will come with "ten thousands of saints" (Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV).
That was the number of faithful who accompanied Prophet
Muhammad to Paran (Mecca) in his victorious, bloodless return to his
birthplace to destroy the remaining symbols of idolatry in the Ka'bah.
God says as quoted by Moses: “And it shall come to pass, that

whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in
my name, I will require it of him.” (Deuteronomy, 18:19)
JESUS WAS A PROPHET AND ALSO A PARACLETE
A Christian who has studied the Bible would be proud to admit that
the prophecy made by prophet Moses for the coming of "a Prophet
like me" (Deut. 18:15), undoubtedly refers to the coming of Jesus
Christ, since Jesus himself had acknowledged before Jews; "Moses
wrote of me." (see John 5:46). These learned Christians have no
problem in admitting the fact that Jesus was "a prophet like his
predecessor Moses".
In his Epistle quoted below, apostle John records that Jesus was "a
Paraclete".
"My little children, I am writing these things to you that you may not
sin. And if anyone sins, we have a Paraclete with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous." 1 John. 2:1
John has also recorded in his Gospel 14:16, quoted below, that Jesus
(after his departure) will pray to the God, and the God will give us
"another Paraclete". This opens up a way for a future date male
Prophet to be "a Paraclete", as well. To say: only a "Spirit" can be a
Paraclete and not a male individual, would be to deny: "Jesus was a
Prophet and a Paraclete".
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Paraclete,
that he may abide with you into the age (to come)." John 14:16
Note: We often read the above verse ending as; "for ever". The fact
of the matter is; "into the age" is the literal translation of the original
Greek phrase; 'eis ton aiona'.
In the next verse, i.e. 14:17, John records, "another Paraclete" is the
"Spirit of Truth" (not the Holy Spirit). WHAT WILL "HE" DO?
Jesus Christ did indicate that the Paraclete will do certain things in his
time. Let us examine if "he", Prophet Muhammad, did those things.
1. "But when he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all
the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative, but whatever he
hears, he will speak..." Jn. 16:13
Note: The Qur'an is a compilation of the "Divine Revelations" that

were received by Prophet Muhammad, over a period of 23 years,
through the archangel Gabriel. The Prophet used to recite whatever
he used to hear. His companions used to write down whatever he
recited. The Qur'an does not contain the writings or teachings of
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as often mentioned by some
misinformed authors.
2. "He shall glorify me." John 16:14
Note: The Qur'an glorifies the birth of Jesus through Virgin Mary. It
confirms; Jesus was a Messiah, a Messenger of God, the Spirit from
God, the Word of God and the Righteous Prophet.
3. "He shall take mine and shall disclose it to you." Jn. 16:14
Note: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did declare himself a
Messenger/Prophet of God like Abraham, Moses and Jesus.
4. "He will teach you all things." John 14:26
Note: The Qur'an teaches a way of life. It guides mankind, how to live
a pious life socially, politically and spiritually.
5. "He will bring to your remembrance all that I said to you." John.
14:26
Note: The Qur'an speaks about the teachings of Jesus and even
quotes him.
6. "He will bear witness of me" John 15:26
Note: The Qur'an attests the miracles performed by Jesus the
Messiah. It also mentions one astonishing miracle performed by
Jesus that the Gospel writers have not recorded (V:110). The Qur'an
acknowledges that these miracles and signs were performed with the
leave of Allah, by His righteous Servant and Messiah, Jesus. The
same is also attested in the Book of Acts 2:22; 3:13 (NASB).
A MALE SALVIFIC FIGURE LIKE JESUS
The passage quoted below from the world renowned and

distinguished Anchor Bible confirms that the original concept among
the noted Christian scholars and populace, for the Paraclete was for
a male salvific figure, but that concept was later confused with the
"Holy Spirit".
"The word parakletos is peculiar in the NT to the Johnannine
literature. In 1 John ii 1 Jesus is a parakletos (not a title), serving as a
heavenly intercessor with the Father. ...Christian tradition has
identified this figure (Paraclete) as the Holy Spirit, but scholars like
Spitta, Delafosse, Windisch, Sasse, Butlmann and Betz have doubted
whether this identification is true to the original picture and have
suggested that the Paraclete was once an independent salvific figure,
later confused with the Holy Spirit." (Page 1135)
THE NEGATION OF "HOLY SPIRIT"
The concept that the Paraclete (comforter, advocate) is the "Holy

Spirit" is unequivocally negated by the following verse:
"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I
do not go away, the Paraclete shall not come to you; but if I go, I will
send him to you." John 16:7
This verse clearly indicates that the coming of the Paraclete was
subject to the departure of Jesus. His departure from this world was a
*pre-condition* for the arrival of the Paraclete.
We know that the "Holy Spirit" was already present during and before
the ministry of Jesus. The Holy Spirit was in existence since the day
of the Creation and was hovering upon the surface of the earth (Gen.
1:2). It was also present with the prophets of the Old Testament. No
Bible believing Christian can deny that the "Holy Spirit" was present
at River Jordan when Christ was Baptized by John the Baptist. Since
there is no more than ONE "Holy Spirit", Jesus would not have made
his own departure a *pre-condition* for its arrival.
"HE" NOT "IT"
"When the Paraclete comes, whom I will send to you from the Father,
that is the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear
witness of me." John 15:26
This verse further clears the confusion, if there is any. Here the
Paraclete is called the "Spirit of Truth" and not the "Holy Spirit".
These are two separate terms and two independent entities. The first
entity takes the pronoun "he" being a male figure. Whereas, the
second one takes the pronoun "it". The Greek word 'pneu'ma' (spirit)
is of neutral gender and takes the pronoun "it". Whereas, in almost all
the verses referring to Paraclete quoted below, the pronoun used is
"he".
"But the Paraclete, the Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I
said to you." John 14:26
Notes:
1. In the older MSS, Codex Syriacus discovered in 1812 on Mount
Sinai by Mrs. Agnes S. Lewis (and Mrs. Bensley), the text of John
14:26 reads; "Paraclete, the Spirit"; and not "Paraclete, the Holy
Spirit". "The Spirit" is a reference to "the Spirit of Truth" as in 15:26.
2. In 1 John 4:6, the terms "the spirit of truth" and "the spirit of error"
are used for the human beings.
3. History records that prophet Muhammad was known for his Truth
and Honesty, long before he received the Divine Revelations.
A PROPHET IN THE LAND OF KEDAR
Prophet Isaiah is considered to be one of the major prophets of the
Old Testament. In the Book of Isaiah there are several prophecies
about the coming of the Messiah. In chapter 42, Isaiah begins with a
prophecy for the coming of prophet Jesus. After verse number nine,
God declares through Isaiah, the "new things" that are to "spring
forth" in the
Land of Kedar.
In the Bible there is only one personality called Kedar. He was the
grandson of prophet Abraham, through his son Ishmael (see Gen.
25:13). Kedar's descendants had settled in Paran (Syno-Arabian
dessert). In the Rabbinic literature Arabia is called the "Land of
Kedar". Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a descendant of Kedar.
God declares through Prophet Isaiah:

"Behold, the former things are come to pass, and the new things do I
declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. `Sing unto the Lord
a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth'. Let the
wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voices, the villages that
Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout
from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and
declare His praise in the inlands." Isaiah Chapter 42, Verses 9-12.
God did reveal in the Land of Kedar, through prophet Muhammad

(pbuh)- a direct descendant of Kedar, a "New Song" - The Qur'an
(Koran). This happens to be the only Scripture to be revealed in the
language of the Kedarites. The verses of the Qur'an are recited like a
poem. Nearly 1.2 billion Muslims, residing all over the world, recite
this "new song" and Glorify Allah, in their daily prayers, five times in a
day. The initial Revelation came to prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in a
cave of Mount Hira near the city of Mecca. There are several
mountains near Mecca. During the annual Islamic Pilgrimage called
"Hajj", Muslims from all over the world, assemble in Mecca and shout
Glory to the Lord from the top of Mount Arafat. The pilgrims
continuously give Glory to Allah on their ways, to and from Mecca.
THE LORD SHALL GO AS "A MIGHTY MAN OF WAR"

"The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like
a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his
enemies." Isaiah 42:13
In the Old Testament, the God often speaks "I" will do this, or "I" have
done this; whereas, He has chosen human beings to do these jobs
on His behalf. (see 2 Samuel 12:7-12).
Prophet Muhammad did go forth as "a mighty man of war" against the
Pagan Arabs, the enemies of The Lord. He did stir up jealousy
among the most influential and dominating Pagan tribe in Arabia.
With a war cry and roar of "Allahu Akbar" ("The God is the Greatest"),
the Prophet of Islam did prevail upon the enemies of Lord - the
idolaters. No doubt, the Islam was spread with a "war cry", but that
was not a cry of a man seeking the personal power. It was a cry of
the Lord, who no longer wanted to hold HIS PEACE against HIS
ENEMIES. After the victory, Allah bestowed HIS FAVOR upon
mankind and gave the Message of "TRUE PEACE" - The Islam.
Once a person whole heartedly submit himself or herself to Allah
(become a Muslim), the "True Peace" from Allah is bound to enter his
or her body, mind and soul. The relationship of that individual with
Allah is now direct, having no Church or Papal Authority acting as a
vicar or an intermediary.
"I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained
myself, now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour
at once." Verse 14.
The prophets that came before Muhammad had all tried with peaceful
missions. But, the concept of sharing God's Glory continued to
surface again and again, in one way or other. It was with the war cry,
through the descendants of Kedar (Arabs), these sinful practices
were destroyed and devoured, inside and outside of Arabia. The
spread of Islam was swift, wide spread and at once.
ISLAM TURNS THE DARKNESS INTO LIGHT
"And I will bring the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in
paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before
them, and crooked things straight. These things I will do unto them,
and not forsake them." Isaiah Chapter 42, Verse 16.
It is an undeniable fact that before the advent of Islam, the pagan
Arabs were like the blinds. Their religious and social concepts were
crooked. The revelation of this "new song" brought them out of that
darkness. Earlier, God had not sent any prophet to these people. By
sending Muhammad, God fulfilled His above promise and also the
following promise to Abraham;
"And *also* of the son of the bondwoman I will make a nation,
because he is thy seed." Genesis 21:13.
Please note the word "also" in above promise. The nations of

Judaism and Christianity came out from the descendants of Abraham
and Sarah. The nation of Islam came out from the descendants of
Abraham and Hagar. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are three
children of Abraham by God's Covenants with Abraham.
"They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust
in graven images; they say to the molten images, 'Ye are our gods.'"
Isaiah 42 Verse 17.
History records that Prophet Muhammad did put the pagan idolaters
to great shame when he demolished before them, their 365 idols that
were installed in Ka'bah (Mecca), the most respected place of
pilgrimage in the whole of Arabia. Today, Ka'bah is the Grand
Mosque of Islam. Muslims from all over the world face towards
Ka'bah while reciting their daily ritual prayers.
Muhammad In Hindu Scripts
A recently published book in Hindi has raised a lot of hue

and cry all over India. In the event of the author being a
Muslim, he would have been jailed and a strict ban would
have certainly been imposed on the printing and publishing
of the book. The author of this important research work
"Kalki Autar" i.e. "guide and Prophet of whole universe"
comes of a Bengali race and holds an important portfolio at
Ilahabad Univerity. Pundit Vaid Parkash is a Brahman
Hindu and a well known Sanskrit scholar and research
worker. Pundit Vaid Parkash, after a great deal of toil and
hard-work, presented the work to as many as eight great
Pundits who are themselves very well known in the field of
research in India, and are amongst the learned religious
leaders. Their Pundits, after thorough study of the book,
have acknowledged this to be true and authentic research
work.
Important religious books of India mention the guide and prophet

by the specific name of 'Kalki Autar' it denotes the great man
Muhammad who was born in Makkah. Hence, all Hindus where-
ever they may be, should wait no longer for any other 'Kalki
Autar' but to embrace Islam and follow in the footprints of the
last Messenger of Allah who was sent in the world about fourteen
hundred years ago with a mission from Him and after
accomplishing it has long ago departed this world. As an
argument to prove the,authenticity of his research, Pundit Vaid
Parkash quotes from Veda, a sacred book among Hindus:
1-Veda mentions that 'Kalki Autar' will be the last

Messenger/Prophet of Bhagwan (Allah) to guide the whole world.
After quoting this reference the Pundit Parkash says that this
comes true only in the case of Muhammad
2-According to a prophecy of Hinduism, 'Kalki Autar' will be born

in an island and that is the Arab territory which is known as
'Jazeeratul Arab.'
3-In the 'sacred' book of Hindus the father's name of 'Kalki Autar'
is mentioned as 'Vishnu Bhagat' and his mother's name as
'Somanib.' In sanskrit Vishnu' stands for Allah and the literal
meaning of 'Bhagat' is slave. 'Vishnu Bhagat' therefore in the
Arabic language will mean Allah's Slave (Abdullah). 'Somanib' in
Sanskrit means peace and tranquillity which in Arabic is denoted
by the word 'Amina.' Whereas the last Messenger Muhammad's
father and mother's names were Abdullah and Amina
respectively.
4-In the big books of Hindus, it is mentioned that 'Kalki Autar' will
live on olive and dates and he will be true to his words and
honest. In this regard Pundit Parkash writes, "This is true and
established only in the case of Muhammad
5-Veda mentions that 'Kalki Autar' will be born in the respected

and noble dynasty of his land. And this is also true as regards
Muhammad as he was born in the respected tribe of Quraish who
enjoyed great respect and high place in Makkah.
6-Kalki Autar" will be taught in the cave by Bhagwan through his

own messenger. And it is very true in this matter. Muhammad
was the only one person in Makkah who has taught by Allah's
Messenger Gabriel in the cave of Hira.
7-It is written in the books which Hindus believe that Bhagwan

will provide 'Kalki Autar' with the fastest of a horse with the help
of which he will ride around the world and the seven
skies/heavens. The riding on 'Buraq' and 'Meraj' by the Prophet
Muhammad proves what?
8-It is also written in the Hindus' books that 'Kalik Autar' will be
strengthened and heavily helped by Bhagwan. And we know this
fact that Muhammad was aided and reinforced by Allah through
His angel in the battle of Badr.
9-Hindus books also mention that 'Kalki Autar' will be an expert

in horse riding, arrow-shooting and swordmanship. What Pundit
Vaid Parkash comments in this regard is very important and is
worth attention and consideration. He writes that the age of
horses, swords and spears is long ago gone and now is the age of
modern weapons like tanks, missiles and guns and therefore it
will be unwise to wait for 'Kalki Autar' bearing sword and arrows
or spears. In reality, the mention in our books of 'Kalki Autar' is
clearly indicative of Muhammad who was given the heavenly
book known as Al-Qur'an.
Baca Is Makkah
The Holy Ka'bah, which was built by Abraham and his son
Ishmael, is in Makkah. This name Makkah has been mentioned
once in the Qur'an in Surah 48:24. Another name for Makkah is
Bakkah, depending on the dialect of the tribe. This also has been
mentioned once, in Surah 3:96: "Verily, the first House [of
worship] appointed for mankind was that in Bakkah [Makkah], full
of blessing, and guidance for all people." Amazing enough, this
word Bakkah was mentioned by Prophet David in his Psalm 84:6:
"Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well, the rain
also filleth the pools." The well here is the well known well of
Zamzam, which is still present today and is located close to the
Ka'bah.
Revelation to Prophet Muhammad
The first revelation (surah 96: 1-5) of Allah through the angel
Gabriel to Muhammad was the word iqra', which means "read."As
he was illiterate, he replied: "I cannot read." This first revelation
was prophesied in Isaiah 29:12: "And the book is delivered to him
that is not learned, saying: 'Read this, I pray thee,' and he saith: 'I
am not learned. "'
The Qurtanic verses were not revealed in the order in which they
appear in the Qur'an. In other words, the first part that was
revealed is not the first page and the last part that was revealed
is not the last page. That these revelations came in installments
and were inserted in a certain order in the Qurtan as ordained by
Allah was also mentioned in Isaiah 28:10-11: "For precept must
be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon
line; here a little, and there a little. For with stammering lips and
another tongue will he speak to his people." Another tongue
means here another language, not Hebrew or Aramaic, but
Arabic.
Muslims all over the world use one language "Arabic" in calling
their God, in their prayers, pilgrimage, and in their greetings to
each other. This unity of language was also prophesied in
Zephaniah 3:9: "For then will I turn to the people a pure language,
that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him
with one consent." Alas the truth has come in Arabic, but some
still expect Prophet Jesus, who might teach mankind to worship
Allah in one unique language in his second coming. We Muslims
are sure that Prophet Jesus, in his second coming, will join the
Muslims in their mosques, as he is like any other Muslim: he is
circumcised, abstains from pork, and performs prayers with
ablution, and that he stands, bows, and prostrates during his
prayers.
The Least in the Kingdom of Heaven
Jesus was quoted, in Matthew 11:11, as saying: "Verily I say unto

you. Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a
greater man than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is
least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
Can you believe that John the Baptist is greater than Adan., NG".,
Abraham, Moses, David, and many other prophets? How many
pagans did John the Baptist convert, and how many followers did
he have? But this is not the main point here. The question is: who
was the least in the kingdom of heaven, greater than John the
Baptist? For sure not Jesus, as at that time the kingdom of
heaven was not yet formed and he never claimed to be the least,
i.e., the youngest one. The kingdom of heaven consists of God as
the Supreme Being and all of the prophets. The least or youngest
one is here Prophet Muhammad.
Art Thou That Prophet?
The Jews sent priests and Levites to John the Baptist to ask who
he really was. John 1:20-21: "And he [John the Baptist] confessed
and denied not; but confessed, 'I am not the Christ.' And they
asked him: 'What then? Art thou Elias? 'And he saith: 'I am not.'
'Art thou that prophet?' And he answered: 'No."'
The crucial question here is: Art thou that prophet? Who was the
long awaited prophet who was to come after the advent of Jesus
and John the Baptist? Was he not the one like unto Moses
(Deuteronomy 18:18) who is Muhammad?
Chariot of Asses and Chariot of Camels
The vision of Isaiah of the two riders in Isaiah 21:7: "And he saw
a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a
chariot of camels ..."
Who was the rider upon an ass? Every Sunday School student
knows that this person was Jesus: John 12:14: "And Jesus, when
he had found a young ass, sat thereon, as it is written."
Who, then, is the promised rider on a camel? This powerful

prophet has been overlooked by readers of the Bible. This person
is Prophet Muhammad. If this is not applied to him, then the
prophecy has yet to be fulfilled. That is why lsaiah mentioned in
21:13: "The burden upon Arabia ...," which means the
responsibility of the Arab Muslims, and of course now of all
Muslims, to spread the message of Islam.
Isaiah 21:14: "The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water

to him that was thirsty, and they prevented with their bread him
that fled." Tema is probably Madinah, the city to which Prophet
Muhammad and his Companions immigrated. Each immigrant was
joined to a citizen of Madinah in ties of brotherhood by the
Prophet. The immigrants were also given food and shelter.
Isaiah 21:15: "For they fled from the swords, from the drawn
sword and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war."
This was when Prophet Muhammad and his Companions were
persecuted and left Makkah for Madinah.
Isaiah 21:16: "For thus hath the Lord said unto me: 'Within a year,
according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar
shall fail."' Exactly in the second year of Hijrah (immigration), the
pagans were defeated in the battle of Badr
Finally Isaiah 21:17 concludes with "... the mighty men of the
children of Kedar shall be diminished, for the Lord God of Israel
hath spoken it." Kedar is the second son of Ishmael (Genesis
25:13), from whom ultimately Prophet Muhammad arose. In the
beginning, the children of Kedar were attacking Muhammad and
his Companions. But as many of them accepted Islam, the
number of children of Kedar who resisted began to diminish. In
some Bible verses, "Kedar" is synonymous with "Arab" in
general, as in Ezekiel 27:21: "Arabia, and all the Princes of
Kedar ..."
The House of My Glory
Isaiah chapter 60:
1. "Arise shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is
risen upon thee." Compare the with Surah 74:1-3: 0, you
[Muhammad] wrapped up in garments! Arise and warn! And your
Lord magnify!
2. "For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross
darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his
glory shall be seen upon thee." The advent of Prophet Muhammad
was at a time of darkness when the world had forgotten the
oneness of God as taught by Abraham and all of the other
prophets, including Jesus.
3. "And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the
brightness of thy rising."
4. "Lift up shine eyes round about, and see: all they gather
themselves together, they come to thee: ...." Within less than
twenty three years the whole of Arabia was united.
5. "... because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto

thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee." Within
less than a century, Islam had spread beyond the borders of
Arabia.
6. "The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of

Midian and Ephah, all they from Sheba shall come, they shall
bring gold and incense, and they shall shew forth the praises of
the Lord."
7. "All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee,

the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee. They shall come
up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of
my glory." The tribes of Kedar (Arabia) who were divided were
then united. "The house of my glory," referred here to the House
of Allah in Makkah and not the Church of Christ as thought by
Christian commentators. It is a fact that the villages of Kedar
(now the whole of Saudi Arabia at least) are located in the only
country in the world that remains impenetrable to the Church's
influence.
8. "Therefore thy gates shall be open continually. They shall not

be shut day nor night, that men may bung unto thee the forces of
the Gentiles and that their kings may be brought." It is a fact that
the mosque surrounding the Holy Ka'bah in Makkah has remained
open day and night since the Prophet Muhammad removed the
idols located within it fourteen centuries ago. Rulers as well as
subjects came for the pilgrimage.
Beliefs and Practices

Islam is the only religion in the world that says that its precepts are
natural. The Holy Quran says:
"..It is Allah's Nature on which Allah has created humans. There
is no change in Allah's creation. This is the established religion
(deen al-qayyim) but many of the humans know not." (al-Room,
30).
In Islam, the beliefs have primary position; they are the roots, and the
practices are branches that are dependent for their existence on the
roots. The primary belief is that of the Unity and Supreme
Sovereignty of Allah, the Almighty, the Everpresent, the Everlasting,
the All-knowing. Allah is Just. He sent prophets to convey His
message. He ordained a Day of Judgement when the deeds of His
creatures will be measured and rewarded or punished accordingly.
Belief in Allah, therefore, entails belief in all of the above.
Islam is the last divine religion and Prophet Muhammad is the last
Messenger of Allah. In Islam, Allah has encompassed all His
commandments and decrees - decrees that will suffice for humankind
til the end of the world. The commandments are there not only to
guide His creatures to proper belief, but also to show them the proper
way to live their lives. Islam says that its practices are for benefit of
the followers, benefit in this world and in the hereafter.
The ethical and moral degeneration of the western society and the
predominance of suicide, drug abuse, and crime, seem to clearly
indicate that spiritual health of an individual and a community is as
important as physical health. The factors of physical and spiritual
well-being form the basis of Islamic practices. All that is necessary for
a person's spiritual and physical well-being is obligatory, and all that
is harmful is haram (prohibited). Islam shows ways of dealing with the
world around us; the responsibilities of a person to oneself, to
parents, to siblings, to offspring, to spouses, to neighbors, to society,
to nation; what habits to cultivate and what to avoid; what things to
possess and what to give away; what time to sleep and what time to
wake up; when and how to make love and when and how to refrain
from it; when to speak up and when to remain silent; what to eat; how
to eat; how to seek knowledge, etc. In short, Islam teaches values
and priorities concerned with every walk of life.
Islam fulfills all the needs of the human nature in such a way that by
following the path of Islam, a person can attain a state of perfection
that is close to divinity. Here is a very brief look at some of the
general guidelines that Islam provides for living an ideal life.
In conclusion, a point to remember is that according to Islamic spirit,
the first and foremost aim of a believer in following the practices laid
down by Islam is to seek Allah's pleasure.
Some Forgotten Sayings Of Jesus

Anyone can call God "Father" according to the Bible
"I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your

God." (John 20:17 RSV 1952)
Jesus, at the end of his mission, made it clear that God is not only his
father, but also the father of all, and God of all, and even his own God
whom he worshipped throughout his earthly career.
“We cry, Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15 KJV 1611) Here the writer is
Paul and he made it clear that anyone can address God as "Father."
Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: ". . . Do not call anyone
on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
(Matthew 23:1,9 NIV 1984)
According to Matthew, Jesus taught everyone to call God 'Father'. He

said to them: "This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in
heaven, hallowed be your name . . .' " (Matthew 6:9 NIV)
Jesus made it clear that he is not God
"Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone." (Mark
10:18)
A man had ran up and knelt before Jesus and called him "Good
Teacher." Jesus used the opportunity to make it clear to people that
they must not praise him more than a human being deserves to be
praised.
Jesus depends on God for Authority: God depends on no one :
"I can do nothing of my own authority" (John 5:30)
"I do as the Father has commanded me." (John 14:31 RSV)
Needless to say, God does not receive commands from anyone.
"The words that I say to you I do not speak of my own authority."

(John 14:10 RSV) "I do nothing of my own authority but speak thus
as the Father has taught me." (John 8:28 RSV)
God has full authority, and full knowledge. He cannot be taught, but
He teaches.
Jesus is not Equal to "The Father"
"The Father is greater than I." (John 14:28 RSV)
People forget this and they say that Jesus is equal to the Father.
Whom should we believe--Jesus or the people?
Jesus Does Not Know Everything
Speaking of the Last Day, Jesus said:

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." (Matthew 24:36)
Did Jesus Raise Himself up?
“God raised him up.” (Acts 2:24)
Jesus did not have power to raise himself up. God had to raise him
up, as the author of Acts says.
Jesus prayed to God: God prays to no one
"Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee; remove this cup from
me; yet not what I will, but what thou wilt." (Mark 14:32)
Jesus fell on his face and prayed to God, begging God to save him
from crucifixion. This also shows that Jesus had a will different from
God's will. The writers of Matthew, Mark, and Luke tell us that it was
Jesus’ wish to be saved from crucifixion, but it was God's will to let
the crucifixion take place. "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
me?" (Matthew 27:46)
Jesus did not know the tree had no fruit
“He [Jesus] was hungry. And on seeing in the distance a fig tree in
leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to
it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.”
(Mark 11 12-13)
When he saw that the tree had leaves, he thought that he might find
fruit on it. But when he came up close to the tree he realised there
were no fruits. After all, it was not even fig season.
Jesus referred to as Servant of God
"Behold my servant whom I have chosen." (Matthew 12:18 In this

passage God calls Jesus His servant)
The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our
fathers, glorified his servant Jesus. (Acts 3:13)
For truly in this city there were gathered together against thy holy
servant Jesus. . . (Acts 4:27)
Everyone, except for God, are God's servants. Jesus, too, is God's
servant.
Who was the real Worker of Miracles?
“Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles

and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as
ye yourselves also know:” (Acts 2:22 KJV)
People say that since Jesus worked many miracles, he must be God.
But here we see that God did the miracles; Jesus was the instrument
God used to accomplish His work. Jesus was a man whom God
approved of. This means he was a righteous man.
Jesus cannot guarantee positions
"To sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for
those for whom it has been prepared by my Father" (Matthew 20:23)
Therefore if we want to secure our position with God in the life
hereafter we must turn to God and ask Him.
A Misunderstood saying
“I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30)

People like to quote this saying, but they forget the following saying:
John 17:11 “Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom
thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”
This shows that what was meant was one in purpose, not one in
substance as people think. The disciples could not become one
human, but they can pursue the same goal. That is to say, they can
be one in purpose, just as Jesus and the Father are one in purpose.
Did Jesus say everything John says he said?
John 14:9 Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life.
John 8:12 I am the light of the world.
John 8:58 Before Abraham was, I am.
John 10:7 I am the door of the sheep.
John 11:25 I am the resurrection, and the life.
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life.
John 15:1 I am the true vine.
Christian scholars tell us that if Jesus had made all these fantastic
claims about himself, the first three gospels would surely have
recorded them. Mark was written around 70 C.E., followed by
Matthew and Luke somewhere between 80-90 C.E. John, written
around 100 C.E., was the last of the four canonized gospels. The
Christian scholar James Dunn writes in his book The Evidence for
Jesus:
"If they were part of the original words of Jesus himself, how could it
be that only John picked them up and none of the others? Call it
scholarly scepticism if you like, but I find it almost incredible that such
sayings should have been neglected had they been known as a
feature of Jesus' teaching. If the 'I ams' had been part of the original
tradition, it is very hard indeed to explain why none of the other three
evangelists made use of them." (The Evidence for Jesus, p. 36)
Similarly, the New American Bible tells us in its introduction, under

the heading How to Read Your Bible:
"It is difficult to know whether the words or sayings attributed to Jesus
are written exactly as he spoke them. . . . The Church was so firmly
convinced that . . . Jesus . . . taught through her, that she expressed
her teaching in the form of Jesus' sayings." (St. Joseph Medium Size
Edition, p.23)
What we have in John, then is what people were saying about Jesus
at the time John was written (about 70 years after Jesus was raised
up). The writer of John simply expressed those ideas as if Jesus had
said them. Rev. James Dunn says further in his book that, almost
certainly, the writer of the fourth gospel "was not concerned with the
sort of questions which trouble some Christians today -- Did Jesus
actually say this? Did he use these precise words? and so on." (The
Evidence for Jesus, p. 43)
Scholars have concluded that this gospel was originally written in a

simple form. But this gospel was later on, as the New Jerusalem
Bible says, "amplified and developed in several stages during the
second half of the first century." (The New Jerusalem Bible:
Introduction to John, p. 1742)
It says further:
"It is today freely accepted that the fourth Gospel underwent a
complex development before it reached its final form." (p. 1742)
On a previous page, the same Bible says:

"It would seem that we have only the end-stage of a slow process
that has brought together not only component parts of different ages,
but also corrections, additions and sometimes even more than one
revision of the same discourse." (The New Jerusalem Bible, p. 1739)
The New American Bible says that most scholars "have come to the
conclusion that the inconsistencies were probably produced by
subsequent editing in which homogeneous materials were added to a
shorter original." (The New American Bible, Revised New Testament,
p. 143)
God Reveals the Truth About Jesus In the Quran
«"O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor

utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son
of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He
conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and
His messengers, and say not "Three" -- Cease! (it is) better for you! --
Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent
majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens
and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Defender. The
Messiah will not scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured
angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He
assemble unto Him: Then, as for those who believed and did good
works, unto them will He pay their wages in full, adding unto them of
His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, them will
He punish with a painful doom. And they will not find for them, against
Allah, any protecting friend or helper. O mankind! Now hath a proof
from your Lord come unto you, and We have sent down unto you a
clear light; As for those who believe in Allah, and hold fast unto Him,
them He will cause to enter into His mercy and grace, and He will
guide them unto Him by a straight road. "» (The Meaning of the
Glorious Qur'an: 4:171-176)
12 Proofs Of Prophethood
All praise and gratitude is to Allah – our Creator, Provider and the
Maintainer of all the worlds.
Muslims believe that Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and

peace be upon him) was the final prophet of God, sent to the
whole of mankind to call the people to worship The Creator
alone, and show praise and gratitude to Him. The following are
some proofs of his Prophethood.
1. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him)

was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained like
that till his death. Among all his people, he was known as being
truthful and trustworthy. Before receiving revelation, he had no
prior knowledge of Religion or any previously sent Message. He
remained like that for his first forty years. Revelation then came
to Muhammad with the Qur’an that we have in our hands today.
This Qur’an mentioned most of the accounts found in the
previous scriptures, telling us about these events in the greatest
detail as if he witnessed them. These accounts came precisely
as they were found in the Torah sent down to Moses and in the
Gospel sent down to Jesus.

also foretold of things that would occur to him and his
community after him, pertaining to victory, the removal of the
tyrannical kingdoms of Choruses [the royal title for the
Zoroastrian kings of Persia] and Caesar, and the establishment of
the religion of Islam throughout the earth. These events occurred
exactly as Muhammad foretold, as if he was reading the future
from an open book.

also brought an Arabic Qur’an that is the peak of eloquence and
clarity. The Qur’an challenged those eloquent and fluent Arabs of
his time, who initially belied him, to bring forth a single chapter
like the Qur’an. The eloquent Arabs of his day were unable to
contest this Qur’an. Indeed, till our day, none has ever dared to
claim that he has been able to compose words that equal-or even
approach-the order, grace, beauty, and splendor of this Glorious
Qur’an.
4. The life history of this Noble Prophet was a perfect example of

being upright, merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, generous,
distant from all evil character, and ascetic in all worldly matters,
while striving solely for the reward of the Hereafter. Moreover, in
all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of
The Creator.
5. Allah instilled great love for Muhammad (may Allah's blessings

and peace be upon him) in the hearts of all who believed in and
met him. This love reached such a degree that any of his
companions would willingly sacrifice his (or her) self, mother or
father for him. Till today, those who believe in Muhammad honor
and love him. Anyone of those who believe in him would ransom
his own family and wealth to see him, even if but once.
6. All of history has not preserved the biography of any person in

the manner it has preserved the life of Muhammad, who is the
most influential human in history. Nor has the entire earth known
of anyone whom every morning and evening, and many times
thereafter throughout the day, are thought of by those who
believe in him. Upon remembering Muhammad, the believers in
him will greet him and ask Allah to bless him. They do such with
full hearts and true love for him.
7. Nor has there been a man on earth whom is still followed in all
his doings by those who believe in him. Those who believe in
Muhammad sleep in the manner he slept; purify themselves
(through ablution and ritual washing) in the manner he purified
himself; and adhere to his practice in the way they eat, drink, and
clothe themselves.
Indeed in all aspects of their lives, the believers in Muhammad
adhere to the teachings he spread among them and the path that
he traveled upon during his life.
During every generation, from his day till our time, the believers
in this Noble prophet have fully adhered to his teachings.
Let alone all that, all those who believe in Muhammad repeat
those praises of Allah, special prayers, and invocations that he
would say during each of his actions, supplicating to Allah during
day and night, like: what he would say when he greeted people,
upon entering and leaving the house, entering and leaving the
mosque, entering and leaving the bathroom, going to sleep and
awaking from sleep, observing the new crescent, observing the
new fruit on trees, eating, drinking, dressing, riding, traveling and
returning from travel, etc.
All those who believe in Muhammad fully perform-even to the
minute detail-every act of worship-like prayer, fasting, charity,
and pilgrimage-as this Noble Messenger (may Allah's blessings
and peace be upon him) taught and as he himself performed. All
of this allows those who believe in him, to live their lives in all
aspects with this Noble Messenger as their example, as if he was
standing before them, for them to follow in all their doings.
8. There has never been, nor will there ever be a man anywhere
upon this earth who has received such love, respect, honor, and
obedience in all matters-small and large alike-as has this Noble
Prophet.
9. Since his day, in every region of the earth and during every
period, this Noble Prophet has been followed by individuals from
all races, colors and peoples. Many of those who followed him
were previously Christians, Jews, pagans, idolaters, or without
any religion. Among those who chose to follow him, were those
who were known for their sound judgment, wisdom, reflection,
and foresight. They chose to follow this Noble Prophet after they
witnessed the signs of his truthfulness and the evidences of his
miracles. They did not choose to follow Muhammad out of
compulsion or coercion or because they had adopted the ways of
their fathers and mothers. Indeed many of the followers of this
Prophet (may Allah's blessings peace be upon him), chose to
follow him during the time when Islam was weak, when there
were few Muslims, and when there was severe persecution of his
followers on earth. Most people who have followed this Prophet
(may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) have done so not
to acquire some material benefits. Indeed many of his followers
have suffered the greatest forms of harm and persecution as a
result of following this Prophet.
Despite all this harm and persecution, this did not turn them back
from his religion. All of this clearly indicates, that this Prophet
was truly and really Allah's messenger and that he was not just a
man who claimed prophet hood or spoke about Allah without
knowledge.
10. With all this, Muhammad came with a great religion in its
creedal and legal make-up. Muhammad described Allah with
qualities of complete perfection, and at the same time in a
manner that is free of ascribing to Him any imperfection. Neither
the philosophers nor the wise could ever describe Allah like
such. Indeed it is impossible to imagine that any human mind
could conceive of an existing being that possesses such
complete ability, knowledge, and greatness; who has subdued
the creation and has encompassed everything in the universe,
small or large; and possesses such perfect mercy. Nor is it in the
ability of any human being to place a perfect law based upon
justice, equality, mercy and objectivity for all human activity on
earth like the laws that Muhammad brought for all spheres of
human activity - like buying and selling, marriage and divorce,
renting, testimony, custody, and all other contracts that are
necessary to uphold life and civilization on earth.
11. It is impossible that any person conceive wisdom, morals,

good manners, nobleness of characters as what this honorable
Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) brought.
In a full and complete manner, Muhammad spread a teaching
regarding character and manners toward one's parents, relatives,
fiends, family, humanity, animals, plants and inanimate objects.
It is impossible for the human mind alone to grasp all of that
teaching or come with a similar teaching. All of that
unequivocally indicates that this Messenger did not bring this
religion from his own accord, but that it was rather a teaching
and inspiration that he received from the One Who created the
earth and the high heavens above and created this universe in its
miraculous architecture and perfection.
12. The legal and creedal make-up of the religion that the
Messenger, Muhammad, (may Allah’s blessings and peace be
upon him) brought resembles the engineering of the heavens and
the earth. All of that indicates that He who created the heavens
and the earth is the One Who sent down this great law and
upright religion. The degree of inimitability of the Divine law that
was sent down upon Muhammad is to the same degree of
inimitability of the Divine creation of the heavens and earth. For
just as humanity cannot create this universe, in the same manner
humanity cannot bring forth a law like Allah's law that He sent
down upon His servant and messenger Muhammad (may Allah's
blessings and peace be upon him).
You Should Know This Man !
ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA confirms:

“.... A mass of detail in the early sources show that he was an honest
and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others
who were like-wise honest and upright men." (Vol. 12)
MICHAEL H. HART in his recently published book on ratings of men

who contributed towards the benefit and uplifting of mankind writes:
"My choice of Muhammad (pbuh) to lead the list of the world's most
influential persons may surprise some readers and may be
questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was
supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels." (M.H.
Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL
PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York, 1978, p. 33)
GEORGE BERNARD SHAW said about him:

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like
him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would
succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much
needed peace and happiness." (THE GENUINE ISLAM, Singapore,
Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936)
He was by far the most remarkable man that ever set foot on this
earth. He preached a religion, founded a state, built a nation, laid
down a moral code, initiated numerous social and political reforms,
established a powerful and dynamic society to practice and represent
his teachings and completely revolutionized the worlds of human
thought and behavior for all times to come.
"HIS NAME IS MUHAMMAD"- May Allah’s peace be upon him

(PBUH)
He was born in Arabia in the year 570 C.E. (common era), started his
mission of preaching the religion of Truth, which is Islam (submission
to One God), at the age of forty and departed from this world at the
age of sixty-three.
During the short period of 23 years of his prophethood, he changed
the complete Arabian peninsula from paganism and idolatry to
worship of One God, from tribal quarrels and wars to national
solidarity and cohesion, from drunkenness and debauchery to
sobriety and piety, from lawlessness and anarchy to disciplined living,
from utter bankruptcy to the highest standards of moral excellence.
Human history has never known such a complete transformation of a
people or a place before or since - and IMAGINE all these
unbelievable wonders in JUST OVER TWO DECADES.
LAMARTINE, the renowned historian speaking on the essentials of

human greatness wonders: "If greatness of purpose, smallness of
means and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius,
who could dare to compare any great man in modern history with
Muhammad (pbuh)? The most famous men created arms, laws and
empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material
powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man
moved not only armies, legislation, empires, peoples and dynasties,
but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more
than that, he changed the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas,
the beliefs and souls.... his forbearance in victory, his ambition, which
was entirely devoted to one idea and in no manner striving for an
empire; his endless prayers, his mystic conversations with God, his
death and his triumph after death; all these attest not to an imposture
but to a firm conviction which gave him the power to restore a dogma.
This dogma was two-fold, the unity of God and the immateriality of
God; the former telling what God is, the latter telling what God is not;
the one overthrowing false gods with the sword, the other starting an
idea with the words.
"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas,

restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images, the founder of
twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is
MUHAMMAD (pbuh). As regards all the standards by which Human
Greatness may be measured, we may well ask, IS THERE ANY MAN
GREATER THAN HE?" (LAMARTINE, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE,
Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp 276-277)
The world has had its share of great personalities. But these were
one-sided figures, who distinguished themselves in but one or two
fields, such as religious thought or military leadership. The lives and
teachings of these great personalities of the world are shrouded in
the mist of time. There is so much speculation about the time and
place of their birth, the mode and style of their life, the nature and
detail of their teachings and the degree and measure of their success
or failure that it is impossible for humanity to reconstruct accurately
the lives and teachings of these men.
Not so this man. Muhammad (PBUH) accomplished so much in such

diverse fields of human thought and behavior in the fullest blaze of
human history. Every detail of his private life and public utterances
has been accurately documented and faithfully preserved to our day.
The authenticity of the records so preserved are vouched for not only
by the faithful followers, but even by his prejudiced critics.
Muhammad (PBUH) was a religious teacher, a social reformer, a

moral guide, an administrative colossus, a faithful friend, a wonderful
companion, a devoted husband, a loving father - all in one. No other
man in history ever excelled or equaled him in any of these different
aspects of life - but it was only for the selfless personality of
Muhammad (PBUH) to achieve such incredible perfections.
MAHATMA GANDHI, speaking on the character of Muhammad,

(PBUH) says in YOUNG INDIA: "I wanted to know the best of one
who holds today's undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of
mankind.... I became more than convinced that it was not the sword
that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was
the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet (pbuh),
the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his
friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute
trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried
everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I
closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there
was not more for me to read of his great life."
THOMAS CALYLE, in his HEROES AND HERO WORSHIP, was

simply amazed as to: "how one man single-handedly, could wield
warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and
civilized nation in less than two decades."
DIWAN CHAND SHARMA wrote: "Muhammad was the soul of

kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those
around him." (D.C. Sharma, THE PROPHETS OF THE EAST,
Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12)
EDWARD GIBBON and SIMON OCKLEY speaking on the profession
of ISLAM write: "'I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN
APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam.
The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any
visible idol; the honor of the Prophet has never transgressed the
measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the
gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
(HISTORY OF THE SARACEN EMPIRES, London, 1870, p. 54)
Muhammad (PBUH) was nothing more or less than a human being.

But he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity
on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the
way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He
always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God,' and
so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.
Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous

poetess of India, SAROJINI NAIDU says: "It was the first religion that
preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call
for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the
democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant
and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I
have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam
that makes man instinctively a brother." (S. Naidu, IDEALS OF
ISLAM, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169)
In the words of PROF. HURGRONJE: "The league of nations

founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity
and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show
candle to other nations." He continues: "The fact is that no nation of
the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the
realization of the idea of the League of Nations."
The world has not hesitated to raise to divinity, individuals whose

lives and missions have been lost in legend. Historically speaking,
none of these legends achieved even a fraction of what Muhammad
(PBUH) accomplished. And all his striving was for the sole purpose of
uniting mankind for the worship of One God on the codes of moral
excellence. Muhammad (PBUH) or his followers never at any time
claimed that he was a son of God or the God-incarnate or a man with
divinity - but he always was and is even today considered as only a
Messenger chosen by God.
K. S. RAMAKRISHNA RAO, an Indian Professor of Philosophy in his

booklet, "Muhammad, The Prophet of Islam," calls him the
"PERFECT MODEL FOR HUMAN LIFE." Prof. RAMAKRISHNA RAO
explains his point by saying: "The personality of Muhammad, it is
most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can
catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes! There is
Muhammad, the Prophet. There is Muhammad, the Warrior;
Muhammad, the Businessman; Muhammad, the Statesman;
Muhammad, the Orator; Muhammad, the Reformer; Muhammad, the
Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad, the Protector of Slaves;
Muhammad, the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad, the Judge;
Muhammad, the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these
departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."
Today after a lapse of fourteen centuries, the life and teachings of

MUHAMMAD (PBUH) have survived without the slightest loss,
alteration or interpolation. They offer the same undying hope for
treating mankind's many ills, which they did when he was alive. This
is not a claim of Muhammad's (PBUH) followers but also the
inescapable conclusion forced upon by a critical and unbiased
history.
The least YOU could do as a thinking and concerned human being is

to stop for a moment and ask yourself: Could these statements
sounding so extraordinary and revolutionary be really true? And
supposing they really are true and you did not know this man
MUHAMMAD (PBUH) or hear about him, isn't it time you responded
to this tremendous challenge and put in some effort to know him?
It will cost you nothing but it may prove to be the beginning of a

completely new era in your life.
Some Qur'aanic Verses about Geology & The Origin Of The Earth
Professor Alfred Kroner: and that many of the statements made at the time could be
proven, but that modern scientific methods are now in a position to prove what
Muhammad said 1400 years ago.
We present to you Professor Alfred Kroner who is one of the worlds most famous
geologists. He is a Professor of Geology and the Chairman of the Department of
Geology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenburg University, Mainz,
Germany. We met him and presented several Qur'aanic verses and Ahadeeth of the
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He studied and commented on them. Then
we had a discussion with him.
Professor Kroner said: "Thinking about many of these questions and thinking where
Muhammad came from, he was after all a Bedouin. I think it is almost impossible that
he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because
scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and
advanced technological methods that this is the case."
Professor Kroner chose an example from the Qur'aan which proved to him why the
Qur'aan could not have come from Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself. The
example which Professor Kroner chose is a description in the Qur'aan of the fact that
this universe had its beginnings in one single entity. Allah, may He be Exalted and
Glorified said: Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined
together [ratqan], before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living
thing [Qur'aan 21:30]
The meaning of ratqan in this verse, as Ibn Abbas, Mujaahid, and others (may Allah be
pleased with him) said, may Allah be pleased with all of them, is that the heavens and the
earth were stuck together or blended together, and that they were later separated from
each other. Professor Kroner used this as an example to prove that no human being
during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), could have known this.
Professor Kroner: "Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics
1400 years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind for
instance that the earth and the heavens had the same origin, or many others of the
questions that we have discussed here."
Professor Kroner, so it seemed to us, has a special talent of being evasive. For example,
we asked him to describe the geological conditions of Arabia. Was Arabia full of
orchards and rivers? He said: "During the Snow Age." And it is further known that the
North Polar icebergs are slowly moving southwards. When those polar icebergs become
relatively close to the Arabian Peninsula, the weather will change and Arabia will
become one of the greenest and wettest parts of the world. We asked him: Will Arabia
become the land of orchards and rivers? He said: "Yes, it is a scientific fact."
This astonished us, and we wondered how he could state this as a scientific fact while it
was related to the future and we asked: Why? He said: "Because the new Snow Age has
actually started. And we can see the snow crawling once again from the North Pole
southwards. In fact, the polar snow is now on the way to get closer to the Arabian
Peninsula. We can see the signs of this in the snow blizzards striking the northern parts
of Europe and America every winter. Scientists have other signs and information proving
the actual beginning of another Snow Age. It is a scientific fact."
--So we said to him: What you have just mentioned has only been known to scientists
after a long series of discoveries and with the help of specialized instruments. But we
have already found this mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
1400 years ago. He said in a hadeeth transmitted in Saheeh Muslim:
The Last Hour will not come upon us until the lands of the Arabs are once again pasture
lands and filled with rivers.
At this point we asked Professor Kroner: Who told the Prophet Muhammad (peace be
upon him), that the lands of the Arabs were once filled with orchards and rivers? He
immediately replied: "The Romans." This reminded me of Professor Kroners evasive
ability. We asked him another question, we said to him: But who informed the Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him), that the lands of the Arabs would once again become
pasturelands and be filled with rivers?. Professor Kroner becomes evasive if
embarrassed. But whenever he was faced with the truth, he is courageous enough to state
his opinion frankly and thus he replied: "This could have been known to him only
through revelation from above."
Finally, after our discussions with him, he made the following comments: "If you
combine all these and you combine all those statements that are being made in the
Qur'aan in terms that relate to the earth and the formation of the earth and science in
general, you can basically say that statements made there in many ways are true. They
can now be confirmed by scientific methods, and in a way you can say that the Qur'aan
is a simple science text book for the simple man, and that many of the statements made
in there at that time could not be proven but that modern scientific methods are now in a
position to prove what Muhammad said 1400 years ago."
Allah confirms in His Book that:
This is no less than reminder to (all), the worlds. And you shall certainly know the
truth of it all after a while. (Qur'aan 38:87-88).
The Qur'aan On The Cerebrum
Allah said in the Qur'aan about one of the evil unbelievers who forbade the Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) from praying at the Ka'abah: Let him beware! If he
does not stop, We will take him by the naasiyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful
naasiyah! [Qur'aan 96 :15-16]
Why did the Qur'aan describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why
didn't the Qur'aan say that the person was lying and sinful? Is there a relationship
between the front of the head and lying and sinfulness?
If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefrontal area of the
cerebrum. What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book entitled,
Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, says about this area: "The motivation and the
foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal
lobes, the prefrontal area . This is a region of the association cortex... The book also says:
In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the
functional center for aggression..."
So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivating, and initiating
good and sinful behavior, and is responsible for telling lies and speaking the truth.
Thus, it is proper to describe the front of the head as lying and sinful when someone lies
or commits a sin, as the Qur'aan said: "...a lying, sinful naasiyyah (front of the head)!"
Scientists have only discovered these functions of the prefrontal area in the last sixty
years, according to Professor Keith Moore
The Embryonic Phases

We present to you Dr. G.C. Goeringer, Course Director and Associate Professor of
Medical Embryology at the Department of Cell Biology, School of Medicine,
Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.. We met with him and asked him whether
in the history of embryology there was any mention of the different stages of embryonic
development and whether there were any books on embryology at the time of the
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or the centuries after him which mention
these various stages, or whether the division into these different stages only came to be
known in the middle of the nineteenth century. He said that the ancient Greeks were
concerned with the study of embryology and many of them attempted to describe what
happens to the fetus and how it develops. We agreed with him that Aristotle, among
others, attempted to expound some theories on the subject, but was there any mention
made of these stages?
We know that these stages were not known until the middle of the nineteenth century and
were not proven until the beginning of the twentieth century. After a long discussion,
Professor Goeringer concurred that there was no mention of these phases. Thus we asked
him if there was any specific terminology applied to these phases similar to that found in
the Quraan. His reply was negative. We asked him: What is your opinion on these terms
which the Quraan uses to describe the phases which the fetus goes through? After long
discussions, he presented a study at the 8th Saudi Medical Conference. He mentioned in
the study man's basic ignorance of these phases. He also discussed the
comprehensiveness and precision of these Quraanic terms in describing the development
of the fetus by means of concise and comprehensive terms which convey far reaching
truth. Let us listen to Professor Goeringer as he explains his opinion:
"In a relatively few aayahs (Quraanic verses), is contained a rather comprehensive
description of human development from the time of the commingling of the gametes
through organogenesis. No such distinct and complete record of human development
such as classification, terminology, and description existed previously. In most, if not all,
instances, this description antedates by many centuries the recording of the various stages
of human embryonic and fetal development recorded in the traditional scientific
literature."
The discussion with Professor Goeringer led us to talk about a fact which was discovered
recently and which would eliminate any controversy. Although the virgin birth of
Christ has been a Christian belief for centuries, some among the Christians insist that
Christ must have had a father, as a virgin birth is scientifically impossible. They argue
this, and perhaps they do not know, that there could be a creation without a father. The
Quraan replied to them and has used as an example the creation of Adam. Allah said:
The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust,
then said to him: Be: And he was. (Quraan 3:59).
There are three types of creation:

Adam, who was created without a mother or father
Eve, who was created without a mother
Jesus Christ, who was created without a father
Therefore, the One who was able to create Adam without a father or a mother is also able
to create Jesus from a mother and without a father. In spite of this, the Christians still
continue to argue even though Allah has sent them evidence after evidence and proof
after proof. Then when they are asked why they persist in this controversy, they reply
that they have never seen or heard of anybody being created without a father and a
mother. But modern science now revealed that many animals and beings in this world are
born and reproduced without fertilization from the male of the species. For example, a
male bee is no more than an egg which has not been fertilized by the male, whereas the
egg which has been fertilized by the male functions as a female. Moreover, male bees are
created from the eggs of the queen but without fertilization by a male. There are many
other examples such as this in the animal world. Moreover, man today has the scientific
means of stimulating the female's egg of some organisms so that this egg develops
without fertilization by a male.
Let us read the words of Professor Goeringer: "In another type of approach, unfertilized
eggs of many species of amphibians and lower mammals can be activated by mechanical
(such as pricking with a needle), physical (such as thermal shock), or chemical means by
any of a number of different chemical substances, and continue to advance to stages of
development. In some species, this type of parthenogenetic development is natural."
Allah has given us the definitive answer and he used Adam, whom they believe in, as an
example of a human being who has no father or mother. The Christians regard as
deviance the fact that a human being can be born without a father. Thus, Allah has shown
them an analogy of a human being who had no father and no mother, that is, Adam. The
Quraan says: The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created
him from dust, then said to him: Be: and he was. (Quraan 3:59).
Allah has willed that there be such scientific advancements and discoveries which
provide proof after proof of the truth which has been revealed in the Quraan. It is in this
way that the verses of this glorious book were revealed with the passage of time. The
verses become known to the foremost scholars and scientists of our religion and of
generations to come. Science will never deplete the wonders of the Quraan.
And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to you
from your Lord - that is the truth, and that it guides to the path of the Exalted (In
Mighty), worthy of all praise. (Quraan 34:6).
Allah, may He be Exalted and Glorified, said in the Quraan: And you shall certainly
know the truth of it (all) after a while. (Quraan, 38:88).
Allah also said: For every prophecy is a limit of time, and soon shall you know it.
(Quraan 6:67).
And He said: Soon will we show them our signs in the (furthest) regions (of the
earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the
truth. Is it not enough that your Lord does witness all things? (Quraan 41:53).

Islam Is Not The Source Of Terrorism, But Its Solution
Introduction
During the last two decades in particular, the concept of "Islamic terror"
has been often discussed. In the wake of the September 11 terrorist
attacks on targets in New York and Washington which caused the death
of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, this concept has once again
returned to the top of the international agenda.
As Muslims, we completely condemn these attacks and offer our

condolences to the American people.
In this article, we will explain that Islam is by no means the source of

this violence and that violence has no place in Islam.
We strongly condemn the cruel terrorist acts which targeted the

innocent people of the United States.
One point that should be stressed at the outset is that the identities of
the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism which targeted the United States
are not yet determined. There is a chance that these horrible attackers
are linked to quite different centres. It may well be a communist
organization harboring rage and hatred against American values, a
fascist organization opposing federal administration or a secret faction in
another state. Even though the hijackers have Muslim identities, the
questions regarding by whom and for what purposes these people were
used will probably remain to be a mystery.
The fact remains however, that even if the terrorists have Muslim
identities, the terror they perpetrated cannot be labelled "Islamic terror",
just as it would not be called "Jewish terror" if the perpetrators were
Jews or "Christian terror" if they were Christians.
That is because, as we will examine in the following pages, murdering

innocent people in the name of religion is unacceptable. We need to
keep in mind that, among those who were killed in Washington or New
York, there were people who loved Jesus (Christians), Prophet Moses
(Jews) and Muslims. According to Islam, murdering innocent people is a
great sin that, unless forgiven by God, brings torment in Hell.
Thus, a religious person who has fear of God can never commit such an
act.
In fact, the aggressors can commit such violence only with the intention
of attacking religion itself. It may well be that they carried out this
violence to present religion as evil in the eyes of people, to divorce
people from religion and to generate hatred and reaction against pious
people. Consequently, every attack having a "religious" facade on
American citizens or other innocent people is actually an attack made
against religion.
All the three Theistic religions command love, mercy and peace. Terror,
on the other hand, is the opposite of religion; it is cruel, merciless and it
demands bloodshed and misery. This being the case, while looking for
the perpetrators of a terrorist act, its origins should be sought in disbelief
rather than in religion. People with a fascist, communist, racist or
materialist outlook on life should be suspected as potential perpetrators.
The name or the identity of the triggerman is not important. If he can kill
innocent people without blinking an eye, whatever his label is, then he is
a disbeliever, not a believer. He is a murderer with no fear of God,
whose main ambition is to shed blood and to give harm.
For this reason, "Islamic terror" is quite a erroneous concept which

contradicts Islam's message. That is because, the religion of Islam can
by no means concur with terror. On the contrary, Muslims are
responsible for preventing terrorist acts and bringing peace and justice
to the world.
The Values of the Qur'an demands Goodness, Justice and Peace
Terror, in its broadest sense, is violence committed against non-military

targets for political purposes. To put it in another way, the targets of
terror are entirely innocent civilians whose only crime is, in the eyes of
terrorists, to represent "the other".
This is an act bereft of any moral justification. This, as in the case of

murders committed by Hitler or Stalin, is a crime committed against
"mankind".
The Qur'an is a Book revealed to people as a guide to the true path and
in this Book, God commands man to adopt good morals. This morality is
based upon concepts such as love, compassion, tolerance and mercy.
God calls all people to Islamic morals through which compassion,
mercy, peace and tolerance can be experienced all over the world:
You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in
the footsteps of Satan. He is an outright enemy to you. (Surat al-Baqara
:208)
The values of the Qur'an hold a Muslim responsible for treating all
people, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, kindly and justly, protecting the
needy and the innocent and preventing the "dissemination of mischief".
Mischief comprises all forms of anarchy and terror that remove security,
comfort and peace. As God says in a verse, "God does not love
mischief makers". (Surat al-Qasas: 77)
Murdering a person for no reason is one of the most obvious examples

of mischief. God repeats in the Qur'an a command He formerly revealed
to Jews in the Old Testament thus:
So We decreed for the tribe of Israel that if someone kills another

person - unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing
corruption in the earth - it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if
anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all
mankind. Our Messengers came to them with Clear Signs but even after
that many of them committed outrages in the earth. (Surat al-Ma'ida: 32)
As the verse suggests, a person who kills even a single man, "unless it
is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth",
commits a crime as if he had murdered all mankind on earth.
This being the case, it is obvious what great sins are the murders,
massacres and, attacks, popularly known as "suicide attacks",
committed by terrorists are. God informs us how this cruel face of
terrorism will be punished in the hereafter in the following verse:
There are only grounds against those who wrong people and act as
tyrants in the earth without any right to do so. Such people will have a
painful punishment. (Surat ash-Shura: 42)
All these reveal that organizing acts of terror against innocent people is
utterly against Islam and it is unlikely that any Muslim could ever commit
such crime. On the contrary, Muslims are responsible for stopping these
people, removing "mischief on earth" and bringing peace and security to
all people all over the world. Being a Muslim cannot be reconciled with
terror. Just the contrary, it is the solution and prevention of terror.
This being the case, how did the popular term "Islamic terror" emerge?
What has been examined so far reveals that it is not possible to talk
about an "Islamic" terror. Indeed, a closer look at the characteristics of
the perpetrators explicitly reveals that this terror is not a religious but a
social phenomenon.
Crusaders: Barbarians Who Trampled Their Own Religion

The true message of a religion or another system of belief can be at

times exposed to distortion by its pseudo-adherents. The Crusaders,
who constitute a dark episode of Christian history, set a good example
of this.
Crusaders were European Christians who undertook the expeditions at

the end of the 11th century to recover the Holy Land (the area around
Palestine) from the Muslims. They set out with a so-called religious goal,
yet they laid waste each acre of land they entered with fear and
violence. They subjected civilians to mass executions and plundered
many villages and towns.
Their conquest of Jerusalem, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived

under Islamic rule in peace, became the scene of immense bloodshed.
They violently killed all Muslims and Jews. The Crusaders' barbarism
was so excessive that, during the Fourth Crusade, they plundered
Istanbul, also a Christian city, and stole the golden objects from the
churches.
Despite the fact that Christianity is a religion of love and pacifism, the
Crusaders slaughtered innocent people in the name of Christ. They
misunderstood their religion.
No doubt, all this barbarism was utterly against Christian political

doctrine. That is because, Christianity, in the words of the Bible, is a
"gospel of love". In the Gospel according to Matthew, it is said that
Jesus said "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"
to his followers (Matthew, 5/44) In the Gospel according to Luke, it is
said that Jesus said "If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him
the other also." (Luke, 6/29) No doubt, in no part of the New Testament,
is there reference to the legitimacy of violence; murdering innocent
people, on the other hand, is unimaginable. You can find the concept of
"massacre of the innocents" in the Bible; yet, only in the cruel Jewish
King Herod's attempt to kill Jesus while he was a baby.
While Christianity is a religion based on love that accommodates no

violence, how did Christian Crusaders carry out the most violent acts of
history? The major reason for this is that, Crusaders were mainly made
up of ignorant people who could better be defined as "rabble". These
masses, who knew almost nothing about their religion, who had never
read or even seen the Bible once in their lifetime, and who were
therefore completely unaware of the moral values of the Bible, were led
into barbarism under the conditioning of Crusaders' slogans as "God
wills it".
It is worth mentioning that in that period, Eastern Christians - the people

of Byzantium, for instance - who were culturally far ahead of Western
Christians, espoused more humane values. Both before and after the
Crusaders' conquests, Orthodox Christians managed to live together
with Muslims. According to Terry Johns, the BBC commentator, with the
withdrawal of the Crusaders from Middle East, "civilized life started
again and members of the three monotheistic faith returned to peaceful
coexistence." [1] The example of the Crusaders is indicative of a
general phenomenon: The more the adherents of an ideology are
uncivilized, intellectually underdeveloped and "ignorant", the more likely
they are to resort to violence. This also holds true for ideologies that
have nothing to do with religion. All communist movements around the
world are prone to violence. Yet the most savage and blood-thirsty of
them was the Khmer Rouge of Cambodia. That is because they were
the most ignorant.
Just as ignorant people may take a violence-ridden opinion to the point

of insanity, so they may confuse violence with an opinion against
violence (or to religion). The Islamic world also experienced such cases.
The Bedouin Character in the Qur'an
In the period of our Prophet, there existed two basic social structures in
Arabia. City-dwellers and Bedouins (Desert Arabs). A sophisticated
culture prevailed in Arab towns. Commercial relations linked the towns
to the outer world, which contributed to the formation of "civilized life"
among Arabs dwelling in cities. They had refined aesthetic values,
enjoyed literature and, especially poetry. Desert Arabs, on the other
hand, were the nomad tribes living in the desert who had a very crude
culture. Utterly unaware of arts and literature, they developed an
unrefined, harsh character.
Islam was born and developed among the inhabitants of Mecca, the
most important city of the peninsula. However, as Islam spread to the
peninsula, all tribes in Arabia embraced it. Among these tribes were also
Desert Arabs, who were somehow problematic: their poor intellectual
and cultural background prevented them from grasping the profundity
and noble spirit of Islam. Of this God states the following in a verse:
The Desert Arabs are more obdurate in disbelief and hypocrisy and
more likely not to know the limits which God has sent down to His
Messenger. God is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Surat at-Tawba: 97)
The Desert Arabs, that is, social groups who were "obdurate in disbelief
and hypocrisy" and prone to disobey God's commands, became a part
of the Islamic world in the Prophet's lifetime. In latter periods, they
became a source of trouble for the Islamic world. The sect called
"Kharijis" that emerged among Bedouins was an example. The most
distinctive trait of this perverse sect (which was called "Kharijis" the
rebels because they greatly deviated from Sunni practises), was their
extremely vulgar, wild and fanatical nature. The "Kharijis", who had no
comprehension whatsoever of the essence of Islam or of the virtues and
the values of the Qur'an, waged war against all other Muslims and
based this war on a few Qur'anic verses about which they made
distorted interpretations. Furthermore, they carried out "acts of
terrorism". Caliph Ali, who was one of the closest companions of the
Prophet and was described by him as the "gate of the city of
knowledge", was assassinated by a Kharijite.
In latter periods, "Hashashis" (Assassins), another brutal organization,

emerged; this was a "terrorist organization" made up of ignorant and
fanatical militants bereft of a profound understanding of the essence of
Islam and thus who could be readily influenced by simple slogans and
promises.
In other words, just as the Crusaders distorted and misinterpreted

Christianity as a teaching of brutality, some perverted groups emerging
in the Islamic world misinterpreted Islam and resorted to brutality. What
is common to these sects and the Crusaders was their "Bedouin"
nature. That is, they were ignorant, unrefined, uncultivated, vulgar, and
isolated people. The violence they resorted resulted from this social
structure, rather than the religion to which they claimed to adhere.
The Actual Source of Terrorism: The Third World Fanaticism
These examples from history are enlightening for a better understanding

of the phenomenon, the so-called "Islamic terror", which is nowadays on
the top of the international agenda. That is because those who emerge
and carry out acts of terrorism in the name of Islam or those who back
such acts -these people, no doubt, represent a minority in the world of
Islam- stem from this "Bedouin character", not from Islam. Failing to
understand the essence of Islam, they try to make Islam, essentially a
religion of peace and justice, a tool of barbarism, which is simply an
outcome of their social and cultural structure. The origin of this
barbarism, which may well be called the "Third World Fanaticism", is the
benighted initiatives of people who are devoid of love for humans.
It is a fact that, for the last few centuries, Muslims in all corners of the
Islamic world, are being subjected to violence by Western forces and
their affiliates. The colonialist European states, local oppressive regimes
or colonialists backed by the West (Israel, for instance) caused great
suffering for Muslims at large. However, for Muslims, this is a situation
that has to be approached and responded to from a purely Qur'anic
stance.
In no part of the Qur'an does God command believers to "respond to

violence with violence". On the contrary, God commands Muslims to
"respond to evil with goodness":
A good action and a bad action are not the same. Repel the bad with
something better and, if there is enmity between you and someone else,
he will be like a bosom friend. (Surat al-Fussilat: 34)
It is no doubt a legitimate right of Muslims to react against cruelty.

However, these reactions should never turn into a blind hatred, an
unjust enmity. God warns about this in the following verse: "... Do not let
hatred for a people who debar you from the Masjid al-Haram incite you
into going beyond the limits. Help each other to goodness and
heedfulness. Do not help each other to wrongdoing and enmity. Heed
God Allah (alone)..." (Surat al-Ma'ida: 2)
Consequently, carrying out terrorist acts under the pretence of

"representing the oppressed nations of the world", against the innocent
people of other nations is by no means compatible with Islam.
Another point that deserves a special mention here is that all the
Western world cannot be held responsible for the aforementioned
colonialist (or "neo-colonialist) violence and oppression against
Muslims. Actually, the materialist, irreligious philosophies and ideologies
that prevailed in the 19th century are responsible for these dismal acts.
European colonialism did not originate from Christianity. On the
contrary, anti-religious movements opposing the values of Christianity
led the way to colonialism. At the roots of the greatest brutalities of the
19th century lies the Social Darwinist ideology.
In the Western world today, there are still cruel, mischievous and
opposing elements as well as a culture dominated by peaceful and just
elements that have its roots in Judeo-Christian faith. As a matter of fact,
the main disagreement is not between the West and Islam. Contrary to
the general opinion, it is between the religious people of the West and of
the Muslim world on the one hand, and the people opposing religion
(like materialists and atheists.) on the other.
Another indication that Third World Fanaticism has nothing to do with

Islam is that, until recently, this fanaticism has been identified with
communist ideology. As is known, similar anti-Western acts of terror
were carried out in 1960s and 70s by Soviet-backed communist
organizations. As the impact of the communist ideology faded, some of
the social structures which gave birth to communist organizations have
turned their attention to Islam. This "brutality presented under the guise
of religion", which is formulated by the incorporation of some Islamic
concepts and symbols into the former communist rhetoric are entirely
against the moral values constituting the essence of Islam.
Anti-Western radicalism once used the communist ideology to support

its violence. Now it is trying to use religious concepts.
A last remark about this issue is that Islam is not peculiar to a particular
nation or geography. Contrary to the dominant Western perception,
Islam is not an "Eastern culture". Islam is the last religion revealed to
mankind as a guide to the true path that recommends itself to all
humanity. Muslims are responsible for communicating the true religion
they believe in to all people of all nations and cultures and making them
feel closer to Islam.
Consequently, there is a unique solution for people and groups who, in

the name of Islam, resort to terror or establish oppressive regimes and
turn this world into a dreadful place instead of beautifying it: revealing
the true Islam and communicating it so that the masses can understand
and live by it.
Conclusion: Recommendations to the Western World
Today, the Western world is concerned about the organizations that use
terror under the guise of Islam and this concern is not misplaced. It is
obvious that those carrying out terror and their supporters should be
punished according to international judicial criteria. However, a more
important point to consider is the long-term strategies that have to be
pursued for viable solutions to these problems.
The assessments above reveal that terror has no place in Islam. They
further show the inherently contradictory nature of the concept of
"Islamic terror". This provides us with an important vantage point:
1) The Western world, especially the United States, will surely take the
most dissuasive measures to cope with terror and it has the right to do
that. However, it has to state explicitly that this is not a war waged
against Islam and Muslims but, on the contrary, a measure serving the
best interests of Islam. The "Clash of civilizations", the dangerous
scenario envisioned in the 90's should be at all costs prevented.
2) Support should be provided for the spread of "True Islam", which is a
religion of love, friendship, peace and brotherhood, and for its true
understanding by Islamic societies. The solution for radical factions in
Islamic countries should not be "forced secularization". On the contrary,
such a policy will incite more reaction from the masses and feed
radicalism. The solution is the dissemination of true Islam and the
appearance of a Muslim role-model who embraces Qur'anic values such
as human rights, democracy, freedom, good morals, science and
aesthetics, and who offers happiness and bliss to humanity.
3) The source of terrorism is ignorance and bigotry and the solution is

education. To the circles who feel sympathy with terror, it should be said
that terror is utterly against Islam, that terror only does harm to Islam,
Muslims and to humanity at large. Besides, these people have to be
provided with education in order to be purified of this barbarism. The
United States' support to such an education policy will yield very positive
results.
Our hope is that these measures will help to the world get rid of
terrorism and all other bigoted, brutal, barbarous structures. With its
Christian-dominated culture and population, the United States, which
defines itself as "a nation under God", is in fact a real friend of the
Muslims. In the Qur'an, God draws attention to this fact and informs us
that Christians are those who are "most affectionate to those who
believe". (Surat al-Ma'ida: 82)
In history, some ignorant people (for instance, Crusaders) failed to

understand this fact and caused conflicts between these two great
religions. To prevent the repetition of this scenario, true Christians and
Muslims need to come together and co-operate.
Who Is Allah ?
Some of the biggest misconceptions that many non-Muslims have

about Islam have to do with the word "Allah". For various reasons,
many people have come to believe that Muslims worship a different
God than Christians and Jews. This is totally false, since "Allah" is
simply the Arabic word for "God" and there is only One God. Let there
be no doubt, Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses,
David and Jesus, peace be upon them all. However, it is certainly
true that Jews, Christians and Muslims all have different concepts of
Almighty God. For example, Muslims, like Jews, reject the Christian
beliefs of the Trinity and the Divine Incarnation. This, however,
doesn't mean that each of these three religions worships a different
God because, as we have already said, there is only One True God.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam all claim to be "Abrahamic Faiths",
and all of them are also classified as "monotheistic". However, Islam
teaches that other religions have, in one way or another, distorted
and nullified a pure and proper belief in Almighty God by neglecting
His true teachings and mixing them with man-made ideas.
First of all, it is important to note that "Allah" is the same word that
Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews use for God. If you pick up an
Arabic Bible, you will see the word "Allah" being used where "God" is
used in English.
This is because "Allah" is the only word in the Arabic language

equivalent to the English word "God" with a capital "G". Additionally,
the word "Allah" cannot be made plural or given gender (i.e.
masculine or feminine), which goes hand-in-hand with the Islamic
concept of God. Because of this, and also because the Qur'an, which
is the holy scripture of Muslims, was revealed in the Arabic language,
some Muslims use the word "Allah" for "God", even when they are
speaking other languages. This is not unique to the word "Allah",
since many Muslims tend to use Arabic words when discussing
Islamic issues, regardless of the language which they speak. This is
because the universal teachings of Islam, even though they have
been translated in every major language, have been preserved in the
Arabic language.
It is interesting to note that the Aramaic word "El", which is the word
for God in the language that Jesus spoke, is certainly more similar in
sound to the word "Allah" than the English word "God". This also
holds true for the various Hebrew words for God, which are "El”,
"Elah", and the plural form "Elohim". The reason for these similarities
is that Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic are all Semitic languages with
common origins. It should also be noted that in translating the Bible
into English, the Hebrew word "El" is translated variously as "God",
"god" and "angel"! This imprecise language allows different
translators, based on their preconceived notions, to translate the
word to fit their own views. The Arabic word "Allah" presents no such
difficulty or ambiguity, since it is only used for Almighty God alone.
Additionally, in English, the only difference between "god", meaning a
false god, and "God", meaning the One True God, is the capital "G".
In the Arabic alphabet, since it does not have capital letters, the word
for God (i.e. Allah) is formed by adding the equivalent to the English
word "the" (Al-) to the Arabic word for "god/God" (ilah). So the Arabic
word "Allah" literally means "The God”: the "Al-" in Arabic basically
serving the same function as the capital "G" in English. Due to the
above mentioned facts, a more accurate translation of the word
"Allah" into English might be "The One -and-Only God" or "The One
True God".
More importantly, it should also be noted that the Arabic word "Allah"
contains a deep religious message due to its root meaning and origin.
This is because it stems from the Arabic verb ta'allaha (or alaha),
which means "to be worshipped". Thus in Arabic, the word "Allah"
means "The One who deserves all worship". This, in a nutshell, is the
Pure Monotheistic message of Islam. According to Islam,
"monotheism" is much more than simply believing in the existence of
"only One God" - as seemingly opposed to two, three or more. If one
understands the root meaning of the word "Allah", this point should
become clear. One should understand that Islam's criticism of the
other religions that claim to be "monotheistic" is not because they are
"polytheistic" in the classic sense, but because they direct various
forms of worship to other than Almighty God. We will discuss the
meaning of worship in Islam below, however, before moving on it
should be noted that many non-Muslims are unaware of the
distinction between simply believing in the existence of only One God
and reserving all worship for Him alone. Many Christians are painfully
unaware of this point, and thus you often find them asking how
Muslims can accuse the followers of Jesus, peace be upon him, of
being "polytheists" when they were all "monotheistic Jews". First of
all, it should be clarified that the word "polytheist" doesn't really sound
right in this context, since to many it implies simply believing in the
existence of more than one God. So in an Islamic context,
"associators", "man-worshippers" or "creature worshippers" might be
more accurate and appropriate terms, especially since Christians
believe Jesus to be both "100% God and 100% man", while still
paying lip-service to God's "Oneness". However, as we're previously
touched upon, what is really at the root of this problem is the fact that
Christians as well as the members of other religions don't really know
what "monotheism" means especially in the Islamic sense. All of the
books, articles, and papers that I've read which were written by
Christians invariably limit "monotheism" to believing in the existence
of "One Sovereign and Creator God". Islam, however, teaches much
more than this.
Suffice is to say that just because someone claims to be a

"monotheistic" Jew, Christian or Muslim, that doesn't keep them from
falling into corrupt beliefs and idolatrous practices. Many people,
including some Muslims, claim belief in "One God" even though
they've fallen into acts of idolatry. Certainly, many Protestants accuse
Roman Catholics of idolatrous practices in regards to the saints and
the Virgin Mary. Likewise, the Greek Orthodox Church is considered
"idolatrous" by many other Christians because in much of their
worship they use icons. However, if you ask a Roman Catholic or a
Greek Orthodox person if God is "One", they will invariably answer:
"Yes!” This lip-service, however, does not stop them from being
"creature worshipping" idolaters. The same goes for Hindus, who just
consider their gods to be "manifestations" or "incarnations" of the
One Supreme God.
Everyone should be aware of the fact that throughout the long history
of the "Abrahamic Faiths", there have people who, while believing in
"One God", have adopted beliefs and practices that completely nullify
their claim to "monotheism". This is the Muslim view of Christians.
We're well aware of the fact that they claim belief in "One God" with
their lips, but this doesn't mean that they don't nullify their claim in
other ways. This is because many people simply haven't been taught
everything that Pure Monotheism entails. From an Islamic point of
view, "monotheism" can be nullified in many ways. For example,
simply believing that it is permissible to rule by Western "liberal" and
"democratic" laws in lieu of the Divinely Revealed Law of Almighty
God makes one a "polytheist". Certainly, a person who does such a
thing, whether Jewish, Christian or Muslim, doesn't ever believe that
there is another Almighty Creator and Sovereign Lord. However, for
all practical purposes, such a person has taken another "god",
whether they choose to admit it or not. In this way they are
associating partners with Almighty God (Arabic: shirk), and thus
become a "polytheist" in a practical sense, regardless of their lip-
service to "monotheism". This holds true even if the person doesn't
believe what they are doing is "worship". For example, Roman
Catholics who pray to the Virgin Mary will staunchly deny that they
are "worshipping" her. They instead call it "adoration" or some other
watered-down term. However, from an Islamic point of view, what is
worship if not this? Islam teaches that prayer and supplication are the
marrow of worship, so if one directs their prayers to an intermediary
(even if the pray is "ultimately" meant for God), then what is left of
worship? Additionally, how can someone who believes in Almighty
God follow man-made laws instead of God's Law, without admitting
that they've begun worshipping other than God? Do they know better
than God?
Additionally, the Old Testament makes it perfectly clear that making a

"graven image" of any created thing (not to mention ones which are
supposed to "represent" Almighty God) is prohibited. Please see
Exodus 20:4-6, Leviticus 26:1 and Deuteronomy 4:16, 23, 25, 5:8 and
Nehemiah 9:6 for some statements in regards to this point. Without
addressing the issue that Christians commonly violate the
unambiguous commandment not to even "make" representations of
anything that is in the "heavens above or on the earth beneath",
these verses not only teach that worshipping idols is prohibited, but
also that Almighty God is eternally distinct from His creation and thus
nothing in His creation can represent Him. To believe otherwise is to
be a de facto idol worshipper - even if one claims belief in one, and
only one, "True God". In Exodus 20:4-6 and Deuteronomy 4:16,
Almighty God, who is a "Jealous God”, makes it perfectly clear that
He is distinct from His creation.
By giving such clear and merciful guidance to human beings, God is

establishing a universal and eternal Truth for the benefit of mankind.
This eternal Truth is the bedrock of religious guidance, since once
people begin to believe that Almighty God mixes with or can be
represented by His creation, they can be duped into believing almost
anything. Once someone accepts that God has become "incarnate" in
His creation, or that someone or something is a "manifestation", and
thus representation of Him, the floodgates are open and "Truth"
becomes a matter of subjective guesswork. Once the first and most
basic concept is violated, regardless of how complicated and
sophisticated the rationale for it might be, it is very easy to fall further
and further away from the Eternal Truth of Pure Monotheism. In the
final analysis, it is not a question of whether God is capable of
becoming a man, but rather a question of whether one bases their
beliefs about God on clear, unambiguous and authentic guidance.
Once it is left up to the human mind to decide what Almighty God can
and cannot do, the stage is set for misguidance to take root. Human
speculation about God only ends up leading to misguidance and
despair, since no clear conclusions can ever be reached. For
example, is God capable of creating an object so heavy that He is
incapable of moving it? If not, does that mean that He is incapable? It
is because of misguided questions like this that Islam clearly teaches
that mankind should only say about God what He has said about
Himself. This means all of our ideas about God must be based on
Revelation and not on human speculation. In short, the final prophet
of Islam ,Muhammad(peace be upon him), was sent by Almighty God
to preach the same Pure Monotheism that was practiced by Noah,
Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus, peace be upon them all. This
Pure Monotheism means not only believing that there is only One
God in existence, but realizing that He is transcendent above His
creation and that all worship is due to Him alone.
Before concluding, we should probably address the practice of those

Muslims who insist on using the Arabic word "Allah" even when
speaking English. Even though this practice certainly is not to be
condemned when it is done around those who understand the
meaning of the Arabic word "Allah", it is my experience ,both during
my years as a non-Muslim and my years as a Muslim , that such a
practice can (and usually does) breed misunderstanding. It seems
that often times, many of the Muslims who use the word "Allah" in lieu
of the word "God", even when trying to attract people to Islam, are
unaware of the severe misunderstandings that many non-Muslims
have about Islam (and the distorted way which Islam has been
portrayed in the West). Insisting on using the word "Allah" only fuels
the flames of misunderstanding, so there's no good reason to do it.
I've often wondered what value some Muslims think that using the
word "Allah" adds to the Pure Message that they are trying to convey.
(. . . and I'm still waiting for an answer!) Unfortunately, those Muslims
who insist on using the word "Allah" even when addressing non-
Muslims who are unfamiliar with Islam and the Arabic language, do
both a disservice to themselves and their religion. Unfortunately, this
practice is usually based on the false assumption, by a non-native
speaker of English, that the word "God" in English is incapable of
expressing a pure and proper belief in Almighty God. This is certainly
false. If someone says that the English word "God" cannot be used to
express the Pure Islamic Belief in Tawhid, they are wrong not
because they don't understand Tawhid, but simply because they don't
understand the English language. Many people who insist on using
the Arabic word "Allah" usually don't realize this, because in reality,
they are not so much affirming the word "Allah" as they are rejecting
the word "God" as unsuitable based on incorrect assumptions. For
someone to assume that the word "God" presupposes a certain
theological point-of-view (such as the Trinity) is simply Wrong, and
that's Wrong with a capital "W". To say the word "God" should be
rejected because it can be changed into "god", "gods" or "goddess" is
illogical because each of these words has a distinctive meaning and a
distinctive spelling, at least to someone who knows how to speak
English correctly. Using the same logic, I can demonstrate that the
root letters "ktb" can be used to form the Arabic words "kitab" (book),
"maktabah" (library), "maktab" (office) and "kaatib" (writer), but does
that mean that these words have the same meaning? Do Arabic-
speaking people go through life confusing libraries with writers and
offices with books (both in conversation and in reality)? I think not!
This is not to mention the fact that if the Arabic "Al-" was put in front
of these words in order to make them definite, confusion would be
even less likely. So the logic in both cases is the same, and this is
because even though the same letters are used in "God" and "god",
these two words have two different meanings in the English
language. The capital "G" implies something different than the small
"g” and anyone who denies this simply doesn't know how to speak
the English language.
In concluding this point, it should be mentioned that Arabic-speaking

Muslims who believe in Pure Tawhid, Arabic-speaking Christians, the
idol worshippers of Mecca and (so-called) Muslims who believe in
"Wahdat al-Wujud" all use the word "Allah". However, does this
guarantee all of them proper belief in "Allah"? Certainly not, because
if they have a corrupt concept of "Allah" it doesn't matter what word
they use.
This brings us to a more important point: It should be clearly

understood that what Islam is primarily concerned with is correcting
mankind's concept of Almighty God. What we are ultimately going to
be held accountable at the end of our life is not whether we prefer the
word "Allah" over the word "God", but what our concept of God is.
Language is only a side issue. A person can have an incorrect
concept of God while using the word "Allah", and likewise a person
can have a correct concept of God while using the word "God". This
is because both of these words are equally capable of being misused
and being improperly defined. As we've already mentioned, using the
word "Allah" no more insinuates belief in the Unity of God than the
use of the word "God" insinuates belief in the Trinity or any other
theological opinion. Naturally, when God sends a revelation to
mankind through a prophet, He is going to send it in a language that
the people who receive it can understand and relate to. Almighty God
makes this clear in the Qur'an, when He states: «"Never did We send
a Messenger except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people in
order to make (things) clear to them."» (Qur'an, Chapter 14 -
"Abraham", Verse 4)
As Muslims, we think that it is unfortunate that we have to go into

details on such seemingly minor issues, but so many falsehoods
have been heaped upon our religion, that we feel that it is our duty to
try to break down the barriers of falsehood. This isn't always easy,
since there is a lot of anti-Islamic literature in existence which tries to
make Islam look like something strange and foreign to Westerners.
There are some people out there, who are obviously not on the side
of truth, they want to get people to believe that "Allah" is just some
Arabian "god", and that Islam is completely "other" ,meaning that it
has no common roots with the other Abrahamic religions (i.e.
Christianity and Judaism). To say that Muslims worship a different
"God" because they say "Allah" is just as illogical as saying that
French people worship another God because they use the word
"Dieu", that Spanish-speaking people worship a different God
because they say "Dios" or that the Hebrews worshipped a different
God because they sometimes call Him "Yahweh". Certainly,
reasoning like this is quite ridiculous! It should also be mentioned,
that claiming that any one language uses the only the correct word for
God is tantamount to denying the universality of God's message to
mankind, which was to all nations, tribes and people through various
prophets who spoke different languages.
Before closing, we would like everyone to be aware of the fact that

some Christian missionary organizations print English literature
intended to teach Christians about Islam which say such things as:
"Allah is the god of the Muslims" and that "Muhammad came to get
people to believe in the god Allah" implying that "Allah" is some sort
of false "god". However, when these same organizations print
literature in the Arabic language, hoping to lead Arabic-speaking
Muslims "to Christ", they use the word "Allah" for God. It seems that if
they were on the side of truth, they would not have to resort to such
inconsistencies. And on an even more ridiculous note there are also
missionary organizations that exceed this in ignorance (or deceit) by
writing books that call on Muslims to give up their belief in "Allah",
and instead worship the "Lord" Jesus, "the Son of God". Besides
making it abundantly clear that they are outside the community of
Pure Monotheism, the people who write such material don't even
realize that if they wrote such a pamphlet in Arabic, it would be self-
contradictory. This is because in an Arabic Bible Jesus is the "Son of
Allah"! If an Arabic-speaking person gave up the worship of "Allah",
they would have no God to worship, since "Allah" is simply the Arabic
word for God!
Before we conclude, however, we would like to ask our readers to

ask themselves what they think the reasons are behind all of these
lies? If Islam was just some false religion that didn't make any sense,
would so many people, from Western scholars to Christian
missionaries, have to tell so many lies about it? The reason is that the
Ultimate Truth of Islam stands on solid ground and its unshakable
belief in the Unity of God is above reproach. Due to this, Christians
can't criticize its doctrines directly, but instead make up things about
Islam that aren't true so that people lose the desire to learn more. If
Muslims were able to present Islam in the proper way to people in the
West, it surely might make many people reconsider and re-evaluate
their own beliefs. It is quite likely that Christians, when they find out
that there is a universal religion in the world that teaches people to
worship and love God, while also practicing Pure Monotheism, would
at least feel that they should re-examine the basis for their own
beliefs and doctrines.

BIBLE CONTRADICTIONS
The Bible, that is the Torah, is the legacy of Moses. It consists of the
books Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It
forms the basis of the Jewish religion, and has remained essentially
unchanged since Ezra and Nehamiah "canonized" the Torah in 444
BC. The "New Testament" consists of materials surrounding Jesus
(diaries, letters, narratives, pious fabrications, written and oral
histories) that survived Catholic editors 400 years later who were
motivated by politics and not, as is obvious to anyone free of
theological bias, logic. "Translations" of both the Bible and the New
Testament are pitifully lacking; Hebrew (Torah), Greek (New
Testament), Aramaic and Chaldean (bits of both) are rich, beautiful,
poetic languages with myriad hidden meanings and depth. English
translations are pale shadows of the originals. The more mystical or
universally philosophical overtones were left out altogether, at Nicea,
in 325 AD, when any of the [over 150 versions of the Gospel - hence
"Heterodoxy'] writings not in line with the council standards were
systematically destroyed to favor the mystically vacant and
emotionally mean Orthodoxy. This is when four Gospels (and the
other New Testament books) were selected and enforced.
Hosea 13:4 "...thou shalt know no G-d but me; for there is no Savior
besides me." So much for Jesus....

begin to understand the Bible, learn Hebrew. To understand the New
Testament, learn Greek.
Christianity exists in translation - and so much gets lost in translation.
The Jewish religious experience is joyously human, celebrating and
sanctifying all acts of life, including eating, excreting, and mating,
while contemplating God and Torah in its original language. The
Christian experience, because it is a translation, and because of
Paulist and other Hellenistic add-ons, is more theoretical, with
conditional joy, and strained, convoluted guilt and denial. It attempts
to destroy the human part of us, most obviously in its suppression of
sex, and notion of "Original Sin." By splitting God into three, and
having a mutilated corpse as its central icon, Christianity becomes
Anti-Messiah. (Messiah brings peace...not gore) By inventing a
"Devil," God's power is subverted and challenged - inconceivable in a
non-pagan, one God system.
Paul's notion of "Original Sin" taints the well of spirituality.
Nachmanides said: "We gave you Christians the idea of sin and you
didn't know what to do with it. You'd be better off to just go on being
Pagans." Jewish thinking says "sin" is "missing the mark" - with the
constant gentle guidance of Torah to get you closer to that mark - the
"mark" being the will of the Creator. Sin and Satan were both given
capital letters by the Christians. They are generic concepts in
Judaism, where in Christianity they become entities in their own right.
This allows a more human-centered focus, providing a distinct target
to resist. Real Life is not always so distinct. In the Garden of Eden,
the "Tree of Knowing Good and Evil" introduces ambiguity, because it
is confusing. Confusing because of both good and evil growing on the
same tree. In the Torah, it does not say knowing good from evil - it
says "good and evil." [tov v'ra]. Since this is disturbing, Christians
[and many Jews] avoid or censor out this little nuance in translation.
If the evil had been made obvious by isolating it on one tree, there
would have been no test for Adam and Eve. It would just be God
winding up a toy and watching it run. By confusing the issue (snake
symbolising confusion), Adam and Eve were given the opportunity to
exercise their own will, and to perhaps grow spiritually. They missed
the mark, and here we are today, confronted daily with the same Tree
of Knowing Good and Evil. Christianity, being man-centered, focuses
on the sin, while Judaism, the God-centered mother religion, focuses
on the Creator's Oneness. Torah says "Choose Life" - which means
we are to focus on this life, not on what we cannot know beyond that.
["Choose Life" has nothing to do with pregnancy, and its use as a
slogan by anti-choicers is a grotesque and blasphemous mis-
interpretation.] Anyway...
The Jewish Bible was passed on and carefully preserved for more
than a millennium when it was finally canonized by the scribe Ezra, in
444 B.C.E. This was the first 'religion of the book,' written and kept by
people who had been in and out of exile, and with whom 'God had
formed a special bond.' The early Jewish editors were rigorously
conservative, and kept the book to the basics. It was written mostly in
Hebrew, with some Aramaic and Chaldean.
Before the Bible was canonized (from the Hebrew kaneh, meaning
'cane,' or'upright'), there were prophets everywhere. Jews were
literate early on, and many considered themselves authors,
commentators, or prophets. Prophecy dwindled after canonization, as
the older (and official) texts gained authority.
There were also the numerous claimants to being "Messiah" that
annoyed Jewish authorities off and on through the centuries.
Some of the Jewish innovations were the concept of 'ethical
monotheism,' and a system of covenants with an immediate, personal
deity. The one-on-one relationship with the creator was
democratizing; for a homeless, captive people, it provided a way
around 'the system.' The Jewish idea of being 'The Chosen People'
has been causing friction for nearly 4,000 years - but the Jewish
conception of "chosen" less like being "better than," and more like
being "singled out."
Rabbi Jesus adhered to the ancient Jewish system of laws, and was
a devout Jew (the "Last Supper" was a Passover Seder), but rejected
legalistic corruption in the Jewish establishment. For this,
conservative Jewish authorities (Sadducees) rejected Jesus, and
made it easy for the Romans to crucify him.
Paul of Tarsus Hellenized the story of Jesus, removed its
Jewishness, grafted on Pagan Greek ideas, and opened the gates to
hordes of converts. The multitude of Christian cults canonized their
literature, and added it onto the Torah, calling the combined material
the "Old" and "New" Testaments. But Christianity is not the "next
phase" of Judaism. It is a religion unto itself, with Judaism as its initial
inspiration, but sharply different than Judaism in its teaching. The
things in Christianity that sound Jewish are Jewish. Christianity is not
founded so much upon Jesus the man as upon Jesus the concept,
and the resulting theology that was invented to support it.
The New Testament is not the logical completion of the Old
Testament. "Judeo-Christian" is a misnomer, an erroneous concept -
Christians and Jews have both said so. Judaism is unrelated to any
religion that claims that it is the one and only true religion and the
sole ticket to heaven, and that if you don't join, you're damned.
[Catholics also reportedly accept that theirs is not the only way to
Heaven - if that's the case, it's certainly difficult to understand their
role in the torture and killing of tens of thousands of innocents, for
purportedly religious reasons. And yes, the Jews killed the Amorites,
the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, etc., a fact that is
repeated daily, and which has a constant humbling effect. Jewish
guilt about its occasional oppressions of others doesn't make it any
easier to contemplate the cruelty of non-Jews.]
Christianity did not begin with Jesus, but after Jesus.
Jesus was an Essene Jew - the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal that the
ideas he taught had been part of the Essene tradition for 200 years
when Jesus was alive. [Jews today do ritual immersions in water
(John the Baptist was a Jew also), and believe in the Final
Redemption when the Messiah comes, with the revival of the dead.]
Jesus was not an innovator. Fifty years after his crucifixion by the
Romans, Paul of Tarsus grafted on Pagan Mithraic ideas and began
the Christianity we know today, which is so radically different than its
mother religion, Judaism.
The absolutist, Heaven or Hell Christian and Islamic world views
differ sharply from Torah ("Old" Testament) religion. They read the
Bible (and later writings, Koran, New Testament) and see only black
and white. The original Bible religion, Judaism, understands the
relationship with the Creator differently, seeing it as a contractual
relationship, a dialog, or a dialectic. Jews do not believe that theirs is
only way to paradise. Christianity and Islam, later interpretations of
Torah, are both much more prone to laying down absolute dictums
about the fate of your soul. "God, however, does not play dice."

A literal approach to the Bible embalms it. The Bible's function
(providing us with a diagnostic tool, a "litmus test" for life) is
enhanced by its contradictions and ambiguities. It forces our minds to
reach beyond the obvious and find new meanings and hidden
teachings. The Jewish oral tradition fills in a lot of the blanks. The
Zohar (Mystical Biblical commentary from Spain in the 1200's) says:
"The stories in the Torah couldn't possibly be about what they seem
to be about, otherwise we could write better stories!" (III 152a).
Anyone who is really interested in the Bible should take the time to
learn Hebrew and study it in its original language. Experience has
shown this writer that it's worth the effort. All of the hair pulling over
the "King James Version" or whatever other translation someone's
using is really a moot point.
The Burning Hell, the "Lake of Fire," the Pointy Tailed Devil, these
fictions are all medieval-Christian scare tactics, and have nothing at
all to do with the Judaism of Jesus. God created humans, and said "It
is Good." The God of the Bible (Jesus' God) has faith in humanity,
and waits for our gratitude and praise. On the other hand, the New
Testament God has condemned humanity, robbed his followers of the
Joy of Life, and resorted to bullying and sham to corral the faithful.
The Bible is fractal- filled with thickets and labyrinths, and that is why
people love it. It has as many contradictions as any other thought
system; and is seen by some as a form of poetry.
Each of these contradictions could provide a seed for great mystical
analysis. Use them as a way to raise spiritual sparks, instead of as a
cudgel against other people (see Spanish Inquisition).

Should we kill?

When was Jesus crucified?
Mark 15:22 and it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

Just because these can be "explained" doesn't mean that they don't
exist. Healthy religion contains the spirit of debate, like Jacob
wrestling with the angel. The fundamentalist attitude that "everything
is carved in stone, finished" is unsustainable.
Just as you can make any sentence you like from the dictionary by
choosing certain words, you can prove any point you want by juggling
the millions of concepts in the Bible. This is something that both
Christians and Jews are adept at. Again, the intention is what
matters. The Zohar says something to the effect that: "If people are
discussing Torah, and they disagree, it doesn't matter, what's
important is that they are talking about Torah."
There are strains of the Christian church who refer to the Bible as a
'Sword'. The metaphor becomes real when they attack the freedoms
of others. These contradictions are pointed out for their sake. Many
good people believe the Bible is literally God's Word ('sWord?!?), and
reverence it and its teachings appropriately. But Jesus said: "Put up
again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall
perish with the sword."(Matt.26:52.)
The Buddhist concept of Sword is called 'Prajna'- 'cutting-through'
wisdom. This can be related to a line from a letter of Paul's to the
Hebrews where he says: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews: 4.12.)
The Bible is perhaps a potent device for meditation or prayer, or a
comfort in times of loneliness, grief or adversity, but when used as a
weapon, it loses its validity. The Bible's commandments are
comparable to Hindu, Buddhist, or many other rule-systems, and
serve societies well. Any way that people can feel peace, or improve
their lives, shouldn't be disrespected. Unfortunately for peaceful
believers, the fanatics twist something sacred into an ugly parody of
itself.
I received the following e-mail in 1995:

"i don't what bible you got the verse's out of but you need to look
them up your self they are wrong i look up some and it don't read that
away"
Wow! I almost don't know what to say. It is not 'doctored,' as some
insist; at least not by myself. Either way, it allows for this disclaimer:
Some passages have been condensed for the sake of brevity, as in
the following example:
Exodus 32:27 reads:'slay every man his brother, and every man his
companion, and every man his neighbor', and on this page has been
shortened to 'slay every man his brother...companion...neighbor-"
JESUS WAS NOT THE MESSIAH PROMISED IN THE TORAH
Here's part of another email received in 2000:
...Jesus didn't fulfill any of the Messianic prophecies. Elijah
didn't foretell him and he isn't a son of David. The Christian
Scriptures are not historically accurate in their presentation of
Pilate, and the entire writing is suspect. The resurrection
narrative stands as a terribly garbled account. The theme of a
dying Messiah who atones for sin is not to be found in Jewish
sources, but is found in abundance in pagan mythology. How
can any thinking person be a Christian?

No, Jesus did NOT fulfill the Biblical prophecies. Some of those
prophecies are: "For to us a child is born, ... Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace, of the increase of his government and of peace,
there will be no end, upon the throne of David, and over his
kingdom..." (Isaiah 9:6-7) and "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and
the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the lion and
the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them." Is this what
Jesus brings when he says: "Do not think that I have come to bring
peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I
have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against
her mother..." (Matthew 10:34) or "If anyone comes to me and does
not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and
brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my
disciple." (Luke 14:26)
How does setting children against their parents bring peace, or jibe
with the fifth commandment (Honor thy Father and Mother)? If Jesus
meant "put God first," then why didn't he say it? Why did he put
himself first?
Jesus' genealogy, claiming that he was a descendant of David the
King (a prophetic requirement), is not only fabricated, but doesn't
make sense in light of other aspects of Paulist Christology. This
concocted lineage indicates that the line of David was continued in
Joseph, but if Mary was a virgin, then how could it be valid?
"Then he (Jesus) strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that
he was the Christ." Matthew 16:20
"Yet I am God your Lord from the land of Egypt; you know no
God but Me, and there is no savior besides Me." Hosea 14:4
[God speaking throught the prophet Hosea]
Bible defenders present mountains of verbiage trying to rationalize
Biblical contradictions - further proving that any point can be backed
up by something in the Bible. The Bible is so fraught with ambiguity
that it makes perfect fodder for endless debate. Like newspaper
astrologers, the Oracle at Delphi, dreamwork, or ritual magic, its
pronouncements are always open to interpretation - rendering them
useful more for those willing to suspend rational judgment, not to
mention providing fuel for unceasing discussion about important
ethical and psychological issues.
About Context
There is the complaint that some of these lines are taken out of
context. But these complainers are taking the entire Bible out of
context. They miss the point that these contradictions are not
presented to invalidate the Bible. They are presented to invalidate
fundamentalist literalism.
If a single sentence is flexible in regard to its context, then why are
other solitary passages given so much import? For example the line
'in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost' appears
only once in the entire Bible,(Matthew 28:19) and yet it is at the
center of one of the great concepts of Christianity, the Trinity (Which,
by the way, weakens Christian claims to monotheism, in the eyes of
Jews and Muslims).
Incidentally, Deuteronomy 4:28 refers to "idols of wood and stone" -
the Christian Cross is wood, and inside of the Kaaba, the black box
the Muslims all pray to, is a stone, a meteor.
If the context neutralizes what appears to be a contradiction, then
doesn't the context also neutralize everything else in the book? The
Bible is a holographic compendium of powerful metaphors; it is a
fascinating, compelling labyrinth that can be a garden for its scholars;
but its authority is chosen, and cannot be imposed on the unwilling.
Even if the context of a passage changes the meaning so much that it
'no longer contradicts,' the fact is, that the apparent contradiction is
enough to prove the point that there are contradictions, even if trivial.
An even more objective viewpoint is to for a moment not to even look
at individual passages, but to look at the entire Bible, and even the
New Testament, in the context of world history, other religions, other
sacred texts, and other religious traditions. The Hebrew Bible
(Genesis, Exodus, Levicticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, canonized
445 B.C. by Ezra and Nehamiah) has its contradictions, and the
Prophets and Writings have their own contradictions. The New
Testament, canonized 812 years later, in about 367 A.D., has its
many contradictions and inconsistencies. (see Bible History)
Christianity itself exists in a context - as a derivitive re-forming of
Judaism, it shares with Islam the status of "Latecomer." The words:
"Amen" and "Halleluyah" are Hebrew, and were considered ancient in
Davidic times (1000 BC). These words are intoned many times daily
by observant Jews, with Psalms you can find in any Bible, but in
Hebrew and not Elizabethan English.
About Morality
Religion or "God" are not the sources of morality (The source of
morality is Your Heart). The immorality of some who claim to be
righteous and holy, and the goodness of many without religion,
demonstrates this. Religion and morality are two separate concepts
that sometimes overlap, but that are really independent of each other.
When religionists proclaim that theirs is the one true faith and attempt
to convert or destroy those who believe differently, they are
committing immorality of a most dangerous kind.
THE OCCULT
"Occult" means "hidden," and refers to ancient knowledge and
tradition forced into hiding by meddlesome Christians. Anything not in
the Bible is considered Evil, must be repressed, and becomes
"occult." 2,000 years of Christian censorship have tried, but failed to
repress older beliefs and the roots of Christianity itself.
The Christian Satan is vastly different than the original Hebrew
"satan," an "obstructing angel," that is short-lived and generic.
Babylonian influences solidified this entity into a specific, evil being,
and now, Christianity has elevated the Devil to an equal footing with
God. Bible belt teenagers becoming 'Satanists' and going on killing
sprees are the obvious products of a fundamentalist environment;
borne of parents who see evil everywhere, from Harry Potter books to
Tinky Winky, these kids rebel in the easiest way: becoming what their
parents most fear and obsess over. They do it by claiming belief in a
"religion" that owes its very existence to Christianity. (And yes, Anton
Lavey).
The Christian obsession with the Devil and witchcraft actually fosters
and propagates what they try so hard to repress.
Fundamentalist abhorrence of evil is really a lack of faith, because
God created Evil:
[Isa 45:7 KJV] I form the light, and create darkness: I make
peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Trying to avoid the issue, newer translations change "evil" to "woe,"
or "calamity," but the Hebrew word in the original is "Ra," which
translates into "Evil."
As Christianity took over Europe, attempts to suppress Pagan holy
day celebrations met fierce resistance. Their solution was to absorb
these holidays, purloin them, and make them into Christian holidays.
Christians object to Halloween, because it is of Pagan origin
(Samhain). To be consistent, then, they should also reject Christmas
(Yule), Easter (Ostara), and Pentecost (Lugnasaً), also Pagan
holidays co-opted by Christians in an attempt to erase the true
origins. They should also reject the Resurrection (Pagan) and the
transubstantiation of bread and wine into blood and flesh (Pagan).
Christian demons and devils are no different than Buddhist, or even
Hindu ones (Not as colorful though...) Christian God-forms (Father,
Son, & Holy Ghost, the Devil) are just as "true" or "false" as any other
religions'.
Christians believe that Pagans worship the Earth, and say it is sin to
worship the created, instead of worshiping the Creator. This confused
notion of separating creator and created is particularly vain, and is
used by Christians to justify trashing the land.
Thousands of people were crucified in Judea during Roman times. By
concentrating on the suffering of Jesus, the Gospels convey the
impression that he was a rare victim of this brutal form of Roman
execution.
Leviticus has dire warnings against even touching the skin of pigs-
doesn't this imperil the souls of Christian football players?
If one can see through to the underlying metaphor (or parable), and
glean the good from scripture, fine. But justifying intolerance with
dogmatic fixation on the literal inerrancy of every line in the book
leads to simplistic conclusions, and often contradictory ones.
Fundamentalists are obsessed with making the world clear cut and
orderly. Subtlety or complexity upsets and confuses them. Alternate
points of view, or attitudes of flexibility or openness drive them crazy.
Possessed by their own fear of destabilization, they are driven to
impose their will on others. They even view their inflexibility as a
virtue. Their fear and mistrust feeds on itself, and grows
exponentially.
These people to the left are protesting against homosexuality. They

are pretending that their bigotry has some sort of spiritual component
or basis. Their actions prove, of course, that they are quite removed
from anything spiritual. Their myopia makes it impossible for them to
understand that sexuality is not something chosen, like one chooses
a shirt, or a religion. Click here to learn more about these hate-drunk

Fundamentalist raving about homosexuality reveals a lack of

knowledge of the very scripture they quote, at least in the case of
Lesbianism. Nowhere in the the Torah ["Old" Testament] is there a
prohibition of lesbianism, or even mention of it.
It has been said that the fundamentalist mind is like concrete; all
mixed up and permanently set.
In nature, every creature is born of female (except seahorses, of

course), but the Garden of Eden story changes that. A male God
creates Adam, the first man, and then Eve is "born" from Adam's rib,
as an afterthought. Eve is then held responsible for the downfall of
the perfect Man.
In fact, Genesis 1:27, which is earlier than the rib story (Gen 2:21),
says: "He created them, male and female he created them." Another
way of looking at Eve's placement in creation is that every created
thing was more complex and "evolved" than the one preceding it, and
so Eve was the ultimate and most perfect thing created.
Yet another approach is brought out that all humanity is descended
from Adam, giving everyone a common ancestor, and defusing
attempts to place one people over another as "superior."
After Eve colludes with the snake, and everyone passes the buck, the
snake bites the dust. Eve's role in this story has been used to justify
oppressive attitudes towards women, and nature, especially within
parts of the Christian tradition.
The Evolution of Creation
'Creationists' insist that when evolution is taught in schools it should
be preceded with the disclaimer that 'It is only a theory.'
Perhaps when teaching 'creation science,' that class should be
preceded with the disclaimer:'The Bible consists entirely of
mythology, incomplete history, and unprovable claims.' Christian
doctrine cannot be proven - faith is NOT proof. Nor is the fact that it is
written in black and white proof.
The fact of biological evolution is so much more mystical and awe
inspiring than the 6 day fundamentalist metaphor, it's hard to believe
they can disassociate their abbreviated, magical/miraculous version
of life's beginnings from observed reality. This refusal to adapt the
facts into their belief system destroys their credibility almost more
than anything else they do.
A belief system that cannot co-exist with observed science is invalid.
Genesis says the world was created in six days. It also says that
Adam lived 930 years (Gen 5:5), and that Noah was 600 years old
when the flood happened (Gen 7:6). We can take these figures
literally, believing that "people just lived longer in those days," or if we
have a shred of intelligence or honesty, we can surmise that Biblical
time reckoning is on a metaphoric scale. Of course, this allows
Genesis to agree with observed evolution.
"But do not ignore this one fact beloved, that with the Lord one day is

Creationists are now trying to push "Intelligent Design," a cobbled
together scientific-sounding fairy tale that pretends to refute the
obvious process of nature. They might as well argue that "ain't" is
really a word.
ALL of the universe is one, flowing, fractal mind-form - we call it
God, Goddess, G-D, Brahman, Allah, Buddhahood, Ahura-Mazda, El-
Shaddai, Jah, Manitou, Tao, math, language, chemistry, history,
religion, humor, evolution, and infinitely more. It is "center
everywhere, circumference nowhere -" we are the center of the
universe, because it is infinite. And we are also an insignificant
speck, a bubble on the cosmic oceans.
Time is a human invention, based on the periodicity of day and night,
the seasons, and our own mortality. But in the context of infinity, time
is meaningless. Evolution/Creation is never/always finished.
YOU ARE THE CROWN OF CREATION
The Structure of the Universe
The fact that fundamentalists of every stripe, Catholic, Protestant,

Mormon, Baptist, Muslim, etc., all claim that they and only they are
going to heaven - brings down the whole house of cards. How could
they all be right? They are all equally convinced, equally fooled, and
equally brainwashed. (The Jews believe that theirs is not necessarily
the only way to Heaven, and don't try to convert anyone. In fact,
proselytes must (theoretically) be turned away three times before
they can begin to study for conversion).
They say: "Read the Bible with an open mind" which really means
"Read the Bible with your mind shut off, and listen to me-"
Why attack Christianity? Ask all of the people they have attacked.
Look at their arrogant dismissal of all other beliefs. Look at their bad
taste-- bumper stickers that say: "Christians aren't perfect; they're just
forgiven." (The implication here is that they are nearly perfect; still
better than nonbelievers. They have conveniently absolved
themselves of sin, speaking in behalf of their imaginary savior.)
Christians are the only religion that scrawls the sacred name of their
God on toilet stalls, tacks it to telephone poles, or lets if fall into
gutters.
The crass insensitivity of Fundamentalist zealots is revealed in their
opportunism - their habit of targeting people in grief or difficulty. One
approached a friend's mother after he broke his neck, hinting that her
resistance to Christianity was the cause. The notion that a pack of
irrational nonsense would have prevented a car accident, or that it
would cure a broken neck is annoying enough; but the egotism of
someone trying to get another 'notch on their gun' at such a sensitive
time is appalling.
Another example is a how a co-worker told me that his father, a
Baptist minister, has systematically manipulated the family
inheritance in such a way that his seven other brothers and sisters
are completely cut out of receiving any money. He has also disowned
his son and refused him burial in the family plot, because his son, 52
years old with a grown daughter, has admitted to himself and the
world that he's gay. This man, a Baptist minister, a supposedly moral
person, justifies his cold-blooded viciousness to his own family
because he believes he's right and has all the answers. Typical
behavior, similar to that of Tom DeLay and so many other self-
annointed, sanctimonious Christians, who believe that any act, no
matter how dishonest, unethical, or deceitful, is justified if it "leads to
the cross."
"Fundamentalists" frequently mis-interpret the very scripture they use
to browbeat people with. Their blanket condemnation of
homosexuality ignores the fact that the Bible says absolutely
nothing about Lesbianism - there is no prohibition of women having
sex with other women in the Bible at all - yet Gay women are included
in Christian busybody attacks on people's private lives. Conversely,
while the second of the Ten Commandments prohibits "Graven
Images," the Catholic Church is crawling with images and carvings of
saints, apostles, and the mutilated corpse of the Rabbi Jesus they
worship.
The "Message," as they call it, that they want to tell everyone about,
is nothing new. Everyone has heard it. To assume out of hand that
other's religion is error, and that they come with the correct answer, is
insulting and only makes the "messenger" look stupid. Don't they get
sick of "saving" each other over and over?
Of course, some genuinely want to help the world, and actually do.
There's nothing wrong with that. Christians actually do huge amounts
of charity and relief work and are to be greatly commended and
admired. This is teaching and leading by example - a totally
meritorious and noble activity. But one thing leads to another, and the
demons that are necessary to fuel the Christian/Muslim cosmologies
become larger-than-life terrors. Before you know it, you've got
Wahabi Muslims, or Calvinists, or Ralph Reed and Tom DeLay.
They claim it is "compassion" that drives them to proselytize; but it is
not. Nagging doubt presses them to convert others, for when others
fall in line, the Christian mythos gets another "yes" vote, so it must be
right.
Callous, xenophobic, and lacking experience of the larger world,
fundamentalists see the devil's hoofprints everywhere, in anything
outside of their sheltered, one-dimensional lifestyle.
Fundamentalists personify the 'Ugly Americans.' (Elsewhere in the
world, United States citizens have a reputation for being loud,
insensitive, pushy, infantile, and myopic; hence "Ugly Americans."
[The current occupant of the Oval Office is the Ugliest of Them All.)
Fundies achieve this within our own borders, with the same selfish
oblivion to the experience of others. Like the loudmouthed polyester-
clad boor in Italy, the Fundie assumes that everyone speaks his
language, and that they're just pretending not to. If he's just loud
enough, and pushy enough, 'these half-wits will get the point.' The
natives shudder and avert their eyes in disgust. Believe it or not,
different people and cultures can have a different experience of the
world than the one in Tulsa, or Dade City.
The fundamentalist inability to appreciate the mystical side of their
religion is most to be pitied. Were they able to see more deeply, they
would become more flexible, and healthy.
The Passion of Christ [now on DVD at the supermarket], doesn't
require much comment. The most succinct analysis I have read is
from CNN's website where they quoted "Gianni," a 69 year old
businessman from from Italy, who puts it best:
"It was irritating, religious pornography. Christ preached
everything against what this film's about. He was a man who
preached non-violence, peacefulness, love, and this is a movie
of hate. I think it's a shameful movie. It shouldn't be seen by
children. It's a product of religious fanaticism."
Fundamentalism is Anti-God
The contradictions that exist in Bible religion are at the core of its
mysticism. Contemplating the Trinity or the Binding of Isaac is to
contemplate contradiction, which opens the mind to mystery. How
can God be all-powerful, creating distant galaxies, and also be active
in human history, concerned about our every thought? The mystics of
Bible religion freely admit that there are ambiguities and
impossibilities in the Bible; they are able to use these to get closer to
the Eternal One.
The mystics don't carry signs that say "God Hates Fags," though,
because they know better. Only literalists, with their limited learning
and understanding, attempt the hopeless task of making every word
stand up to modern rational scrutiny (and their own stunted agendas).
This is destroying religion, ripping the mystery out of it and turning it
into pre-fab fast food. Many people HATE religion, because of its
various ugly failings. What do they turn to? Consumer Culture. Tragic,
no?
Most religions share similar principles and basic laws; the differences
in the outward appearances of different belief systems are like
different languages, or dialects. Spiritually-directed people employ
their religion to bring them closer to Source, or God; while Ego-
driven people use their religion for their power hunger, trying to
convert everyone around them. Mysticism is where all religions
become alike, and where the differences disappear. The anti-
intellectualism of fundamentalism makes mysticism impossible.
Christian Ayatollahs whip their sheep into frenzies by scapegoating
and playing on their fears. Simplistic solutions ignore the life-realities
of people not in the cult. Spoon-feeding selected propaganda to their
flocks, Mullah-Pastors transmit the 'word-' at least their version of it.
Fundamentalism puts the beliefs and opinions of men, of people, first.
It grows from a sense of entitlement - the arrogance that true
spirituality works to eliminate, and replace with gratefulness and acts
of kindness.
The translators and compilers of the Bible left out many things crucial
to Jesus' message, because his message was love and did not allow
for a corrupt 'religious' bureaucracy.
Some ways Christianity differs from it's mother religion,
Judaism
Christianity focuses on man, while its mother religion, Judaism,
focuses more on God. Cynically, doubting our ability to improve,
Christianity dwells on the corruption in humanity, death, and
avoidance of Hell. Judaism, the religion that Christianity evolved out
of, puts God and Torah (the Bible) at the center, trusting and
cultivating our potential to come near, and says "choose life!" (not
referring to the terrible choice some women have to make).
Christianity puts intermediaries (Jesus, Saints, Popes, Bishops,
Priests, etc.) between people and God; Judaism allows a direct
connection. Judaism does not claim to be the only way to get close to
God, while Christianity does. Christianity is uncomfortable with
learning and an intellectual approach; Judaism sees scholarship as a
core element of spirituality. Judaism is not just Christianity without
Jesus. Unlike Christianity, un-assimilated Judaism is deeply mystical,
intellectual, challenging, and growth-oriented, while at the same time
being passionate, humorous, lively, and playful. [With wine, dancing
and sex - in controlled amounts...]
These differences don't need to create antagonism however - if
people would live up to the higher ethical standards their religions
have in common, there would be few problems. [Except of course
with Muslims, who are explicitly instructed in the Koran and the
Hadith to decimate the infidel]
