TALKS FAIL NOW IS THE

TIME FOR ACTION
UNION ATTEND ACAS TALKS IN GOOD FAITH BUT ARE MET WITH THE
MANTRA THAT MANAGEMENT “DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS ABOUT”.

T
alks today collapsed at ACAS with
management still trying to pretend they do
not know what the problems are on the
line and what they have done wrong with no
proposals made in two days of negotiations to
resolve the dispute. We told them where they
breached a recently made agreement but it fell
on deaf ears as they continue to treat the
agreement and driver grievances on the line
with contempt and are in complete denial of the
massive industrial relations crisis on the line.
Management trash the agreement and
pretend everything is alright
The current strike action was only put on as
soon as it became clear that management were
treating the agreement made to make your life
at work better with contempt and reneging on it
and mugging every driver on the line off. Here
is a reminder of its key elements.
Service Control Relationships – No progress
has been made with meetings poorly arranged
and union concerns ignored. No noticeable
improvement.

Arnos Grove Issues – Business as usual with

agreements being treated with contempt and no
attempt to improve relations with reps made.

Attendance Issues – Rainbow back with

management clearly reneging on agreement to
hold face to face director reviews when called.

Driver Numbers – Despite a positive initial

It is clear that the only real language that management seem to understand is
industrial action so we are calling on members to respect the picket lines and join
the action. You cannot be disciplined for taking this strike action and it is hoped that
a solid strike will bring management back to the negotiating table and for them to
treat you and your agreements with respect and make real progress to make things
