BUSINESS LOCATION:-

Hyderabad is widely known as the City of Pearls, thanks to its reputation as a

pearl and diamond trading center. In 2009 the World Bank Group ranked the city
as the second best Indian city to do business. Indian companies like Bharat Heavy
Electricals Limited (BHEL), Defence Research and Development Organization
(DRDO), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Centre for DNA
Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) are based here. Global conglomerates like
Microsoft, Google, IBM, Yahoo!, Dell and Facebook. Major Indian enterprises
including Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Wipro
also have offices here. The city and its suburbs contain the highest number of
special economic zones of any Indian city.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit, being hosted in Hyderabad at the end of this
month, is a testament to how the city is slowly becoming a global destination for
technology businesses and entrepreneurs, according to the panelists at the
roundtable discussion at The Economic Times the Power of Ideas event in
Hyderabad.
COMPANY LOGO:-
BUSINESS AND ORGANISATION STRUCTURE
Our start-up business idea is to develop an “SMART CLASSROOM
AUTOMATION” and manufacture it on a small as well largescale suitable . Our
product is basically an IOT based robotics project and so, it is designed to perform
a set of specific tasks which would have otherwise required human intervention.
Our project comes under the physical robots automation industry which is just
another segment of the manufacture industry.

Our start-up business plan aims to provide robots that are priced at reasonable
rates. These robots will be designed and programmed for the specific task of
garbage collection only. Due to the scope of potential application of our product,
our target areas are hospitals and households.

All the members of the start-up team have a good background on sensors,
automation and electronics. This brings down the need to buy patents of circuit
design and mechanical structure from technicians.

We need some technicians who are aware of arduino coding and they should
have knowledge on how to inject the code into the Arduino and they should deal
with handling errrors while injecting

Upon the completion of the final design of the product, a fully detailed 3-D image
is sent to the manufacturing unit. Once they receive the design for the body of
the design, they produce over a print on PCB . The delivery of these products is
done by the contracted private delivery services.

Circuit components are acquired from local dealers BALAJI Electronics and module
143 Electronics.

We are planning to hire at least 50 electronics engineers who have minimum

knowledge on circuiting and sensor components as our circuit is totally based on
sensors we need some workers for packing the components as well.As customers
don’t have any knowledge on wiring so we need to hire some engineers from
electrical department who have background knowledge about household wiring
and architecture so that they will be helpful in installing our device and satisfying
the customers

We are going to develop a website to advertise our device and home delivery and
installing the product should be there in the website it might be helping the
customer in several ways so we need some frontend department which always try
to modify thee website whenever its needed.

ABSTRACT:-
This is a project developed with a sense of all-round security of a living area. The
“SMART CLASS ROOM AUTOMATION” model includes all those essential
components that can sense the presence of any living being (human or animals) in
a compartment. It is an Arduino controlled circuit which uses IR sensor modules to
detect the existence of any individual and counts the frequency of the human
beings. We will be using IR sensor modules (emits IR to sense some aspects of the
surroundings). Infrared waves are not visible to the human eye. In the
electromagnetic spectrum, infrared radiation can be found between the visible and
microwave regions. The infrared waves typically have wavelengths between 0.75
and 1000µm. The transmitter section includes an IR sensor, which transmits
continuous IR rays to be received by an IR receiver module. Therefore, it contains
a LED which transmits the IR rays and it is received by the photo diode of the
same IR sensor. Whenever there is any sort of disturbance in the flow of the above
process the module counts each disturbance as a single count.

AIM:-

To make a smart class room sensor which uses a sensor modules and displays the
count of the people in the room and automatically switches on the number of lights
and fans as required.
METHODOLOGY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF WORK:-

COMPONENTS REQUIRED:-
1. Arduino UNO R3 development board

2. Sensor module (infrared LED, photodiode)

3.Jumper wires

4.Resistance (16k)

5.Bread board

6. 16 X 2 LCD display

7.LED

8. 5V 2 channel Relay

9.Motor

ABOUT COMPONENTS:
 THE BRAIN OF THE PROJECT- ARDUINO Arduino is an open-source electronics platform
based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a
sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor,
turning on an LED, publishing something online. We can tell the board what to do by sending a
set of codes to the board. We use the arduino software (IDE) to do the same.

 SENSOR MODULE: An infrared sensor is an electronic device that emits in order to sense
some aspects of the surroundings. An IR sensor can measure the heat of an object as well as
detects the motion. The radiations are invisible to our eyes, which can be detected by an infrared
sensor. The emitter is an IR LED (Light Emitting Diode) and the detector is an IR photodiode
which is sensitive to IR light of the same wavelength as that emitted by the IR LED.  LCD
(liquid crystal display) Liquid Crystal Display screen is an electronic display module and find a
wide range of applications. A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and is very commonly
used in various devices and circuits. These modules are preferred over seven segments and other
multi segment LEDs.

The reasons being: LCDs are economical; easily programmable; have no limitation of displaying
special & even custom characters (unlike in seven segments), animations and so on. A 16x2
LCD means it can display 16 characters per line and there are 2 such lines. In this LCD each
character is displayed in 5x7 pixel matrix. This LCD has two registers, namely, Command and
Data. The command register stores the command instructions given to the LCD. A command is
an instruction given to LCD to do a predefined task like initializing it, clearing its screen, setting
the cursor position, controlling display etc. The data register stores the data to be displayed on
the LCD. The data is the ASCII value of the character to be displayed on the LCD. o Relay: It is
an electromagnetic device which is used to isolate two circuits electrically and connect them
magnetically. They are very useful devices and allow one circuit to switch another one while
they are completely separate. They are often used to interface an electronic circuit (working at a
low voltage) to an electrical circuit which works at very high voltage. For example, a relay can
make a 5V DC battery circuit to switch a 230V AC mains circuit. Thus a small sensor circuit can
drive, say, a fan or an electric bulb. A relay switch can be divided into two parts: input and
output. The input section has a coil which generates magnetic field when a small voltage from an
electronic circuit is applied to it. This voltage is called the operating voltage. Commonly used
relays are available in different configuration of operating voltages like 6V, 9V, 12V, 24V etc.
The output section consists of contactors which connect or disconnect mechanically. In a basic
relay there are three contactors: normally open (NO), normally closed (NC) and common
(COM). At no input state, the COM is connected to NC. When the operating voltage is applied
the relay coil gets energized and the COM changes contact to NO. Different relay configurations
are available like SPST, SPDT, DPDT etc, which have different number of changeover contacts.
By using proper combination of contactors, the electrical circuit can be switched on and off. Get
inner details about structure of a relay switch.

CODE: #include LiquidCrystal lcd(13,12,11,10,9,8);

#define in 14 #define out 19

#define relay 2 int count=0; int led=7;

void IN()

{ lcd.clear();

lcd.print("Person In Room:");

lcd.setCursor(0,1);

if(count>10)

lcd.print("The Room is Full");

else {count++; lcd.print(count); }

delay(1000); }

void OUT()

{ lcd.clear();

lcd.print("Person In Room:");

lcd.setCursor(0,1);

if(count<=0)

{ lcd.clear();

digitalWrite(relay, LOW);

lcd.clear();

lcd.print("Nobody In Room");

lcd.setCursor(0,1);

lcd.print("Light Is Off");

delay(200);

digitalWrite(7,LOW);

else{ digitalWrite(relay, HIGH);

digitalWrite(7,HIGH);
}}

DESIGN DETAILS:

WORKING OF IR SENSOR:-

• The IR sensor continuously senses the presence of any obstacles. • If sensor 1 senses the person it
informs controller that a person has entered so that controller can increment the count. At the same
time it gives a delay, so that the person can cross the sensor 2 and the count maintained correctly.

• When a person exits the sensor 2 informs the controller to decrement the count. Similarly it also
provides a delay to maintain count properly.

• The count is displayed on the LCD by the controller. CIRCUIT DIAGRAM: APPLICATIONS AND

FACTORS MOTIVATING US TO START THIS BUSINESS:-

1. Can be used in various rooms like seminar hall, where the capacity of room is limited and should not
be exceeded. Project will display the actual number of persons inside the room and it automatically
switches on the number of fans required so that we can save electricity.

2. Can be used in conference room, study rooms in colleges.

3. Can be used even for the purpose of attendance.

4.Can be used in theaters where huge amount of current is consumed for cooling the hall.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT:-

1. We can send this data to a remote location using mobile or internet

2. Voice alarm system can be added to indicate that room is full & persons can’t enter inside
