INTRODUCTION
In recent year the vehicle accident are increases due to
inadequate driving. To avoid this accident by using
advance technology. We are developing one unit to
avoid accident. The main function of this project is to
measure and control alcohol content using sensor and
eye blinking using IR sensor. This sensor measure the
content of alcohol from the breath of drunken people.
If the sensor getting alcoholic content inside our body
then it damp down alcoholic. The IR sensor having
two main parts one IR transmitter & IR receiver.
If the eye is closed then output of IR receiver is low
and eye is open then output of IR receiver is high. The
function of this two part are vice versa. The IR
transmitter transmit infrared rays in our eye and
receiver. Receiver this reflected ray of eyes. In this
project we are used one advanced microcontroller
where name is ATMEGA328PAU1551. Buzzer
produce sound while getting signal from IR sensor.
GSM send message to LCD display and it’s show this
message at that time buzzer will activate and produce
sound (Alarm).

2. LITERATURE SURVEY
S.P. Bhumkar et.al[1] investigated in this paper
“Accident avoidance and detection on highways” In
this technique the fatigue will be detected immediately
and regular traps the events driver and third party. The
new fatigue detection algorithms & techniques using
eye blink, alcohol, impact, gas, etc. sensors. Through
research presented in this paper.
K. Srijayathi et.al[2]investigated in,
“Implementation of the Driver Drowsiness Detection
System” In this paper involves controlling accident
due to unconsciousness through Eye blink. Here one
eye blink sensor is fixed on vehicle dash board in front
of driver, if driver losses consciousness, then it alerts
the driver through buzzer to prevent vehicle from
accident.
Abhi R. Varma et.al [3]proposed “Accident
Prevention Using Eye Blinking and Head Movement”
Eye based control will be the future of all types of
device control, thus making the operation so
comfortable and much easier with less human
presence. Several risk operations can be easily
performed with this type of application and further
research and study on these areas will create a new
trend of interacting with machines. Hence, a system to
monitor fatigue by detecting eye blink & head
movement was developed using self-developed
algorithms.
S.P. Bhumkar et.al[4] proposed “Intelligent Car
System for Accident Prevention Using ARM-7” In
this technique the fatigue will be detected immediately
and regular traps the events driver and third party.

4. APPLICATION
This device is very useful in now a days life as it can
be easily implemented in vehicles.. It is useful for tour
& travel agency. It can also be used in schools,
colleges, offices and some public places taking
attention of drunken persons. Military application
where high intensity monitoring of soldier is needed
5. FUTURE SCOPE
[1] If the driver is drunken then car locks up the
ignition system thereby preventing the driver from
getting on the road.
[2] Instead of alarm we can use Automatic Braking
which will slow down or stop the vehicle.
[3] Exact location can be known by using GPS system.

7. CONCLUSION
Our project accident avoidance by IR sensor and MQ-
3 sensor complement successfully Thus we can avoid
inbrite and drowsy related road accident and hence
these kinds of detectors have a great pertinence. It can
also used in schools, colleges, offices and some public
places such as hospitals, libraries etc. Through this
project we present hardware programming of aurdino
to facilitate as alcohol sensor, eye blinking sensor.
