Subject: Spanish

Topic Description: Spanish Language Introductions, Spanish Cultures and Geography, Numbers, Colors.
Typically learning a new language involves repetition, review and committed participation on a regular
basis to attain the best outcome.

STAGE 1 DESIRED RESULTS


Established Goal 28 Use the target language to communicate within and beyond the classroom setting

STAGE 2 ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE
Performance Students will be expected to maintain their journals and use them throughout all activities.
Tasks Performance will be evaluated by their self -assessment and from continuous circulating and
evaluating by the teacher.
 40% Participation : language acquisition requires continuous participation (journals,
class responses)
 30% Assignments will be required to be: completed during class-time, if student
does not complete assignment in class; they will be required to complete assignment
for homework.(2-4)
 20% Assessments: Completed assignments, observation, booklet project10
 10% Quizzes

Other Evidence Students will have journals, completed assignments and class participation.

STAGE 3 HOME/SCHOOL CONNECTION

Learning  Students will maintain a journal with all activities completed in the classroom. This
Activities journal will be taken home to allow for practice.
 Websites will be made available to students as additional resources
