Word order in noun phrases

Preparation of the word in the noun phrase following the principle which was shortened by D O E C
H. This sequence has a fixed value and should not be distorted. If that was formed only has 3 (three)
elements, for example: D O and H, then the order of words in that phrase is D O H, should not be
reversed so that the H D O or O D H. The element of H must always be behind, and the element D
should always be located on the front.

1. Determiner (D), the words that are included in this element is:
a. Articles (A), such as: a, an, the.
Example:
 An apple = sebuah apel

 The car = mobil itu

b. Possessives (P), such as: my, your, their, our, his, her.
Example:
 Your house = rumah kamu

 Their books = buku-buku mereka
DP H
c. Demonstratives (D), such as: this, that, these, those.
Example:
 These houses = rumah-rumah ini
DD H
 That book = buku itu
DD H
d. Quantitatives (Q), such as: some, many, much, a lot of, few, little, etc.
Example:
 Much money = banyak uang

 Many desks = banyak meja
DQ H

2. Ordinatives (O), the words that are included in this element are:
1. Numerals (N), such as: one, two, three, first, second, single, double, etc.
Example:
 Two students = dua murid
ON H
 Second hand = tangan kedua

2. Comparative adjective (CA), the adjectives that have a comparative or comparison, such
as: -er, -est, most, more, very.
Example:
 The most beautiful house = rumah yang paling indah itu

 An older man = seorang pria yang lebih tua

3. Epithet (E), the adjectives that could have but did not have a comparable additional,
such as: -er, -est, most, more, very.
Example:
 The beautiful house = rumah yang indah itu

4. Classifier (C), namely the noun that serves as an adjective. This word can not be added,
such as: -er, -est, most, more, very.
Example:
 Some Indonesian soldiers = beberapa tentara Indonesia

 A reading book = sebuah buku bacaan

5. Head word (H), the principal word or words that become the core phrase. For example: a
new house, then the word is essentially the home. Headword in the English language
should be placed at the end of the phrase.
Example:
 An American student = seorang murid dari Amerika
