INTERPRETATION:
We will compare the significance level (two tailed) with the alpha value, which is the probability of rejecting
the null hypothesis. The confidence level that is a sample is how much confident of becoming true with its null
hypothesis. By analysing the above table, we found that X12_b, X12_c and X12_e has a significance value
lower than the alpha value.
X12_b
In this case, the H0 Hypothesis is rejected, which means that Plastic bag is harmful for environment.
X12_c
In this case, H0 hypothesis is rejected, which means that People do not wish to quit using plastic bag.
X12_d
In this case, H0 is NOT rejected, which means People do not try to avoid Plastic Bag as much as they can.
X12_e
In this case, H0 hypothesis is rejected, which means that Plastic Bag Ban is not enforced properly
X12_f
In this case, H0 is NOT rejected, which means the Paper Bag is a useful substitute for plastic bag.
QUESTION:2
Table:
Research Objective: To identify whether the views of male and female on plastic ban are same or
different.
Null Hypothesis(H0): There is no significant difference between the views of male and female.
i.e. u1=u2
Alternate Hypothesis(H1): Male and Female views are significantly differently i.e. u1 != u2
Also, Null Hypothesis (H0): Equal variances assumed
Alternate Hypothesis(H1): Equal variances not assumed.
Significance Level=0.05(95% confidence).
For X12_a:
From the statistics we can see that mean of male is 2.9032 while female is 2.5385 which are close
yet different.
Now, from levene’s test of equality Sig. is 0.026 which is lesser than 0.05 hence null hypothesis of
variance is rejected.
T value is 0.922 at degree of freedom = 31.787

variance is accepted. We will take the values of equal variances assumed.
T value is .589 at degree of freedom = 42
Now 2 tailed Sig. is .559 which is greater than 0.05 hence our null hypothesis is accepted.
There is no significant difference between the views of male and female.
