Finance Executive (General Cashier and Payroll)

HOTEL DESCRIPTION
Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is set in the Gaafu
Alifu Atoll, South Maldives, and is surrounded
by natural splendour. After undergoing
significant renovations the resort will re-open as •
a Raffles branded property in November 2018,
joining the iconic collection of Raffles hotels and
resorts.
The property is located at a 55-minute flight
from Male’ international airport followed by a 15-
minute speed boat ride from Kaadedhdhoo
domestic airport.
The resort presently boasts 21 island villas and
16 ocean villas with private pools, three
restaurants, a scenic cocktail bar and an array
of facilities and activities to relax, rejuvenate
and reinvigorate the body, mind and spirit.
These include an award winning luxury spa,
private dining options, 24-hour butler and
private chef service.
The hotel has well-appointed leisure facilities
with fully equipped over-the-water fitness
center, spa, swimming pool and a diving center.
MISSION (Role Overview)
• Administer all income and payroll related
processing activities to ensure correct and
on-time payment.
Be thoroughly familiar with local laws, and
internal hotel payroll policies in order to
maintain correct payments and deductions
• Ensure a detailed understanding of local
accounting rules and local labour laws in
order to make correct payments and
deductions and ensure all reports are in
compliance with company directives.
• Process accurate payments ensuring that
time schedule information are properly
completed by all colleagues and are
approved by their Head of Department and
that payroll schedule is properly coordinated
with the local banks in observance with
company policies and that audit track is
followed to ensure maximum colleagues’
satisfaction.
• Liaise closely with the Director of Talent and
Culture to ensure consistent interpretation
and application of Maldives Labour Law.
• In charge of auditing and verifying and control
all revenue and ensure that the charges has
been correctly charged to the guest folios.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years in a similar position.
• Demonstrated experience working in a high volume,
high pressure environment.
• Previous experience working in remote island highly
preferred.
• Experience working in the hospitality or other customer
service related industry.
• Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task and
meet deadlines.
• Familiar with Sun system, Opera and Fusion payroll
systems.
• Excellent numerical skills
• Organized, methodical and logical thinking
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
