Name of Work: CONSTRUCTION OF LOW COST COW SHED ( 2 UNITS )

Estimated Cost: ` 56,749/- Rupees ( Fifty Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Nine )

Design: The Engineering cell of the Department was directed to prepare the
architectural plans and detail estimates for the construction of a low cost Cow
Shed (2 units) considering the modern day requirements. In view of the
same,the plan shows a single storey structure size of (2.7 X 3.0) sqm with a
total built up area of 8.10 sqm(87.16 sq ft). The architectural plan
accomodates 2 nos of the animal with free working space for the caretaker of
the same.

Scope of Work: The structure has been built using MS Tubular Pipes of 50mm dia
acting as the columns for the shed (4nos in each column) with the 24 BWG
GCI Sheet roofing embedded in the MS Tubular Truss sections. The estimate
provides for laying of stone soling of 150mm thick and two layers of cement
concrete in 1:3:6mix ratio of 100mm and 75mm thick respectively for the total
floor area. The scope of work involves provision for a urine pit of size
(1.2mx1.2m) built in 1:2:4 mix plum concrete and a fodder trough of
dimensions (2.7mX0.45mX0.6m) is provided with same. U Shaped drain
(23cmX23cm) connects the animal wastes to the urine pit.
