Assignment on Student Rights

1. Right to protection from injuries or sickness that are acquired inside or outside the
university.
 This right is present in what we call “Health Service” inside the campus in which they
entertain the students who are injured or who are sick without charge. They will also
give you free medicine such as Paracetamols, Pain Killers, and first aids in case of
injury. They even have free dental services in case you have problems with your
teeth.
 The only problem with this is that only few students know about the different the
services that they give. The university should have some efforts in telling the students
on what are the services that are given.

2. Right to have protection inside the campus.

 Students should be protected anytime inside the campus. The campus should be at
maximum security all the time so that snatchers, crooks or any other bad people will
be prevented in entering the university.
 Security of the students is essential and should have more importance because there
had been cases of stealing inside the university and I also noticed that some outsiders
come inside the campus easily even inside the buildings.

3. Right to maximize the use of school facilities or any other things that can help in
learning.
 The amenities and facilities of the university should always be ready for use so that
learning will be maximized. Examples are projectors, microphones, laptops, and etc.
 The university should have more equipment available such as extension cords
because they always lack at this and it just destroys the lesson plan of the teachers and
it consumes time during waiting for one.

4. Right to access books

 Books should be always available for use in the library so that research by the
students will be easily. Books should not be hoarded or kept hidden by the university
so that they can be used. There should be no censorship for the books like if a book is
too violent or anti catholic it doesn’t mean that it should be kept.

5. Right to be admitted by the school if requirements are passed.

 An applicant of the university should be admitted if requirements are accomplished.
There should be no biases or discrimination present. Any applicant should be
admitted regardless of their religion, culture, or race.
