Your training is based on Competency-base curriculum that is developed from the
training regulation.

2. Learning is competency based or modular in structure, You the learners work on

one competency at a time based on the CBLM. Kindly read Mr. ____CBT no. 3

3. Training delivery is individualized and self-paced - this time you as a trainees are
given an opportunities to learn on their own paced. You are the one responsible for your
whole learning.

4. Training is based on work that must be performed- Learning is based on the actual
industry practice.

5. Training materials are directly related to the competency standards and the
curriculum, means transmitting that the task focus and the results is the experiential
learning.

From competency standard to CBC to LM’s

6. Assessment of learners is based on the collection of evidences of work
performance based on industry or organizational required standards, means
relating to the knowledge evidence, skills or process evidence and output evidence by
looking the performance criteria for the evidence.

7. Training is based both on and off the job component; Training is done in a
simulated work environment such as in training production, enterprise based training,
supervised industry training and on-the-job training.

Better learning with industry and school partnership

8. Training program allows for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or current

competencies, means prior learning is recognized by giving them a certificate of
Achievement for the competencies acquired previously.

Workers and students can have prior skills recognized

9. Training allows for multiple entry and exit, so in this case trainees do not need to
wait for others to be competent before he can exit either a competency or the
qualification. There is flexibility for entry and exit from program, So fast learners may
graduate faster than others.

10. Training programs are registered with the UTPRAS, all programs should be
registered to the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System.
