terhadap pengetahuan merawat kaki pada penderita diabetes melitus di Poli
Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. M. Yunus: Stikes Tri Mandiri Sakti. Pembimbing

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan

dengan metode demonstrasi terhadap pengetahuan merawat kaki pada penderita
diabetes melitus di Poli Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. M. Yunus.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pre Eksperimental menggunakan The
One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh pasien
diabetes yang berobat di Poli Penyakit Dalam RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu
pada tanggal 23 Juli s/d 06 Agustus 2018 sebanyak 46 responden. Pengambilan
sampel kasus menggunakan teknik Accidental Sampling yaitu mengambil sampel
yang kebetulan ada atau tersedia pada suatu tempat penelitian terutama di Poli
Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. M. Yunus.
Hasil penelitian didapatkan: (1) Dari 46 pasien diabetes yang berobat di Poli
Penyakit Dalam RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu sebelum dilakukan pendidikan
kesehatan metode demonstrasi didapatkan pengetahuan tentang merawat kaki
dengan nilai minimum 3, nilai maksimum 10, nilai rata-rata 6,63 dengan Std.
Deviation 1,793; (2) Dari 46 pasien diabetes yang berobat di Poli Penyakit Dalam
RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu sebelum dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan metode
demonstrasi didapatkan pengetahuan tentang merawat kaki dengan nilai minimum
4, nilai maksimum 12, nilai rata-rata 8,26 dengan Std. Deviation 1,26; (3) Ada
pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode demonstrasi terhadap pengetahuan
merawat kaki pada penderita diabetes melitus di Poli Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr.
M. Yunus.

This study aims to study the effect of health education with a demonstration
method on the knowledge of caring for feet in people with diabetes mellitus in the
Internal Medicine Polyclinic at dr. M. Yunus.
This study uses Pre Experimental design using The One Group Pretest
Posttest Design. The population in this study all diabetic patients who treated at
the Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu on 23 July to 6
August 2018 as many as 46 respondents. Taking sample cases using Accidental
Sampling technique is taking samples that happen to exist or are available at a
place of research, especially in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic Dr. dr. M. Yunus.
The results obtained: (1) Of the 46 diabetic patients who were treated at the
Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu before the health
education demonstration method was obtained knowledge about caring for the
foot with a minimum value of 3, a maximum value of 10, an average value of 6.63
with Std. Deviation 1,793; (2) Of the 46 diabetic patients who were treated at the
Dr. Internal Medicine Polyclinic. M. Yunus Bengkulu prior to health education
demonstration method obtained knowledge about caring for the foot with a
minimum value of 4, a maximum value of 12, an average value of 8.26 with Std.
Deviation 1.26; (3) There is an effect of health education with a demonstration
method on the knowledge of caring for the feet in patients with diabetes mellitus
in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic of dr. M. Yunus.
