AFRH-W Zone A Development - Public Engagement AFRH will undertake the development of Zone A as a federal at process that provides numerous opportuni n and will follow a robust federal review s for public engagement and input. + Any Master Plan Amendment will require multiple stages of public consultation and input: + Section 106 consultation per the process in the AFRH-W Programmatic Agreement (PA) + Public comment periods for additional NEPA compliance (if required) + Public meetings held by the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) and Commission of Fine Arts (CFA) + As individual projects are proposed for Zone A, there will be opportunities for formal public ‘engagement through the federal review process. NCPC, CFA, and the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) hold public meetings at which the public and city officials can comment. These boards and commissions typically review projects at the concept and final stages. + The REP for Zone A requires developers to submit public outreach plans that AFRH will evaluate as part of their proposals. + AFRH will continue to engage the ANCs and DC officials through the solicitation and development process. + _AFRH intends to incorporate many of the District's goals related to affordable housing and other plan- ning transportation / environmental objectives, as well as to mimic the local permitting process as. closely as possible.
