and the rich designs can be used in a wide variety of applications. The different ranges offered in Novilux

The rich designs of Novilux comes in 4 metre width, which means less seams and more design than
any other vinyl collection. The realistic and enriched designs show hardly any repeat and create a luxury

The surface of all Novilux products is enriched with either one of a kind embossing structures that create
the most realistic look; or scattered chips that further strengthen and improve the look of the product.

All Novilux products are rated R10. But Novilux Design and Spectrum even come with Aquagrip. This
well known safety feature reduces the potential for slip, even in wet conditions. It is a well known and
comforting addition to our products that will find it’s way into a real wide variety of applications.

All Novilux products come with backings that are strong and reduce impact. LDF+ is the newest
mechanical backing with higher density than all other conventional backings. It gives unsurpassed
comfort and improves the ergonomic properties of the product. CDF is used for our compact calendared
products, using the 4 metre wide calendar technology unique to Forbo. It contains recycled material for
a further improved environmental profile.
Novilux Natura

Novilux Natura stays close to nature and creates warm atmospheres through it’s authentic

finishes and classical elegance reflected in a 12 item wide variety of wood designs. All with

their own individual enriching structure. The compact but flexible product is protected

by superior Diamond Seal XS that will make the original look last for many years whilst

requiring only easy maintenance. Natura is ideal for large and smaller workspaces and at

Novilux Compacta

Novilux Compacta is a very versatile product that can take extremes in and continuous

pressure. With its solid look it stands out through the innovative cooperation between

the original lively design and the scattered chips, which creates a 3D effect. These chips

also support the strength of the product and makes sure that even in the most severe

conditions no usage marks can be seen. The 10 pure colours are easy to combine and

The product

Novilux products are especially designed for new and refurbishment pro-grammes in retail,

office, health and care or any other demanding locations, including domestic areas, where

a high performance floorcovering is required. Novilux is particularly suitable for locations

where hygiene is very important and for people with dust related allergies. All products,

in particular the Traffic series, have positive ergonomic characteristics, relieving pressure of

the spinal column, which in turn can prevent back problems associated with long periods

of standing or walking. It makes people feel less tired. All Forbo Novilux products are

produced in an environmentally friendly way and have a long life span. The production

of Forbo Novilux products conforms to the strict criteria of the ISO 14001 environmental

management system. Forbo-Novilon B.V. was the first manufacturer of floorcoverings in

the world to be tested and certified for this environmental management system.
Installation

The usual requirements for a sub floor are valid. It must be level, sound, rigid, clean and

permanently dry. For domestic use Novilux can be loose-laid in an area of up to 20 square

metres. All Novilux ranges come in 2 and 4 metre, which makes laying quick and efficient.

When installing multiple widths of Novilux Compacta, Traffic and Design, alternate widths

should be reverse-laid to avoid shade variation between widths. Please ensure your

Novilux floor is installed in a professional way, following the instructions that come with a

product of this nature.

Cleaning and maintenance

Forbo Novilux products have a strong protective finish that makes cleaning and

maintenance very simple indeed. All products can be cleaned with the same simple

method: In normal use sweep or vacuum the floor to remove loose dirt and grit. Wash

regularly afterwards with Forbo Monel and water (50 ml/10 l water) to remove spots and

clean the floor. For periodical cleaning, also apply Monel film using Forbo Monel solution

(250 ml/5 l water) and mop. Allow floor to dry. This method greatly reduces effort and time

spent on keeping your floor in shape.
