Hi Pia,
I’m revising for my school-leaving exams and I need a break, so I’m writing to you! I haven’t
decided yet what I’m going to do for most of the holidays, but I’m going to spend a week with my
cousins near Marseille and then I have to be at home in Leeds for a week to take care of the dog.
Will we be able to meet in August? I could come to Berlin! The flights will be expensive, so I might
find out about the trains.
It’s been a good year. I’m going out with a new boyfriend, Karl. He’s good-looking and sensitive,
and he’s an incredibly talented guitarist (but a terrible singer!). His band had an audition last week
with a record company. They want to give them a contract!
I should carry on revising. I think I did OK in my French exam, but it’s history tomorrow and I still
haven’t learnt most of the dates! My last exam is English. Luckily, that’s my best subject!
Speak soon, Ava x
