Three Men in a Boat

General Instructions:
 There will be an annual examination based on entire syllabus.
 The annual examination will be of 80 marks and 20 marks weightage shall be for internal
assessment.
 For internal assessment
a) There will be four periodic tests which includes 1st Unit Test July (30 Marks), Half Yearly
Exam (80 Marks), 2 nd Unit Test November (30 Marks) and 3 rd Unit Test (30 marks)
conducted by the school.
b) The Time duration for Half Yearly Exam will be 3 hours.
c) Assessment of Speaking and Listening skills (ASL) test of 20 marks (10 marks for speaking
and 10 marks for listening) will be conducted at the end.
d) Regularity, classwork and home-assignment completion along with neatness and upkeep of
notebook will carry a weightage of 5 marks towards the final result.
 Assignment given online should be completed on time as it is a part of notebook marking.
 There will be one value based question of 8 marks from any topic/chapter/unit.
 If a student remains absent in any of the written test due to any reason, retest will not be done.
 Exams will be conducted as per the details provided in the school planner.
 It is mandatory for the student to score 33% marks in all written tests.

and 2 questions from MOMENTS) to test local and global comprehension of theme and ideas (30-40 words
each) 2×5 = 10 marks

Q.10. One out two long answer type questions from the book BEEHIVE to assess Creativity, imagination
and extrapolation beyond the text and across the texts. (100-150 words) 8 marks

Q.11. One out of two Long Answer Questions from the book MOMENTS on theme or plot involving
interpretation, extrapolation beyond the text and inference or character sketch in about 100-150 words.

Revision of the complete syllabus of Term1 and Term 2 to be done before Pre Final Exams.

NOTE: Pre Final Exam will be held in the month of January covering 100% syllabus of the Term for
80 marks. Format for Pre Final Exam will remain the same as that of Final Exam.
