Registration is now open!
A limited number of
reservations are now being accepted for Hope‘s visit
to Israel in March 2011.
We will be traveling with AAA Member Choice
Travel/Collette Vacations for a 10-day journey to the
Holy Land, with an optional Jordan add-on. Dates are
March 23 - April 1, 2011. For those choosing the
Jordan tour extension, we will arrive back April 6,
2011.
Land only per person rates include: Double
$1,949; Single $2,699; or Triple $1919. A $50 -
AAA member benefit discount applies. A deposit of
$250 holds your reservation with the balance due 60
days prior to departure. Cancellation insurance is
available. Airfare is currently being estimated at
$1,200 with Continental Airlines.

directly with AAA Travel (Route 19 in Cranberry) but

Roadtrip!!
For those disciples who are
part of the overnight, please know that we will be
meeting at Hope promptly at 7:00 a.m. on
Monday, August 23, 2010!
We will head straight to Cedar Point for a day of
fun at both Cedar Point and Soak City. Lodging for
the evening will be at The Retreat at Sandusky, a
Christian retreat center, located less than a mile
from Lake Erie and Cedar Point. Visit them at

Youth from Rochester Free Methodist Church will
also be staying at the retreat center. We have
combined our ticket purchase with them to get the
group rate.

Hope Swings into Action
Beginning with Rally Day
on September 12, 2010
Get ready for a full slate of activities this fall as
members of Hope begin the new church year with
Rally Day on Sunday, September 12, 2010, when
all the kids head back to Sunday school and the
annual church picnic takes place in Cranberry.
Details will follow from the picnic committee, so
stay tuned!
Fall also brings a few updates to our weekly
schedule of church services at Hope.
An 8 a.m. service, which will last about 45
minutes, will begin on Sunday, September 12,
and will be a ―Traditional Liturgical Service.‖
The 9 a.m. service will be a ―Blended /
Contemporary Liturgical Service‖ meaning that
members will see a mix of newer music in the
family-oriented service, while maintaining the
children‘s sermon and traditional gospel.
The 5 p.m. Saturday service and 11 a.m. service
will continue as they have in the past with the
Saturday service being a ―Soft, Reflective, and
Traditional Liturgical Service‖ and the 11 a.m.
will cotinue as the ―(High) Traditional
Liturgical Service.‖
We look forward to seeing everyone back from
vacations and into the routine again!

Volunteers are an essential part of Global Links’
operations. Volunteers sort and pack needed
medical supplies for shipment to hospitals serving
the poor in developing countries.
Some volunteers check equipment or help with
paperwork. More than 65% of the medical supplies
Global Links sends overseas are packed by
volunteers.
Our next to volunteer opportunity is Saturday,
August 28. We will meet at Panera‘s at 9 a.m. for a
quick breakfast and fellowship and then carpool to
Pittsburgh where we will pack supplies from 10
a.m. to 12 p.m. Then back to Panera‘s by 12:40
p.m. Please consider giving your time.
