IV. Course Description:

This subject is intended and part of the curriculum of Bachelor of Science in Criminology students, covering theories and techniques of Criminal Investigation on
special cases such as robbery, homicide, carnapping cases etc.

A special study of modern techniques in the investigation of crimes penalized under special laws.

V. Course Objectives:

A. General Objective:.

At the end of the course, the student should be able to know the different concepts of special crime investigation, application of special laws and the modern
techniques in investigation.

B. Specific Objectives:

Cognitive:
. 1.Know/familiarize the coverage of the special crime investigation
2.Identify/apply the special techniques and procedures in conducting investigation on special crime
3.Describe/apply the best modern investigative techniques in conducting crime scene search, sketch, and care of physical evidence

Affective:
1.Apply the proper collection, handling, documentation, and preservation of all kinds of physical evidence
2.Assess the duties and responsibilities of the investigator at the crime scene
3.Evaluate the organizational chain of command relative to the handling of investigators responsibilities including the coordination of overlapping jurisdictions.

Psychomotor:
1. Identify physical evidence at the crime scene
2.Examine the chain of evidence process to ensure proper in-court identification.
