Leadership Roles:
University Program Board (UPB) - Communications Chair (Aug. 2014 - May 2015)
● Responsible for all committee communication - email, Facebook events, on and off-campus advertising and promoting events over
various platforms (social media, flyers, etc.)
● Part of a collaborative marketing effort for the 200+ events put on by UPB each year
2014 VA/DC FIRST Lego League Competition - Volunteer Mentor (Aug. 2014 - Dec. 2014)
● Reviewed approximately 30 resumés to create the 2014 Volunteer Coordinators team
● Guided and led 2014 Volunteer Coordinators through their responsibilities leading up to and during the two day event
JMU Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) - Treasurer (Aug. 2013 - May 2014)
● Constructed and maintained the budget, planned and led meetings along with the executive team (of which I was a member),
completed strategic planning for the next five years of the organization
● Handled and balanced the budget, pulled organization out of a deficit, maintained banking records, handled cash, etc.
2013 VA/DC FIRST Lego League Competition - Volunteer Coordinator (Aug. 2013 - Dec. 2013)
● Acquired and coordinated approximately 300 volunteers for four shifts, over the span of two days
● Recruited volunteers, maintained contact, assigned positions and sent out reminder emails as well as coordinated day-of activities
and was point person for the volunteer team
