Learning Objectives:

• Create components of the project assemblies in the Part mode of

Pro/ENGINEER.
• Assemble the components of the assemblies using the assembly constraints.
• Create the exploded state of the assembly.

• Generate the drawing views of the assembly.

 Tutorial 1
In this tutorial you will create the components of the Fixture assembly shown in Figure
A. The exploded view of the assembly is shown in Figure B. The details of the
components of the Fixture assembly are shown in Figure C through Figure F. After
completing the assembly, create an exploded state of the assembly in the Assembly
mode. Finally, generate the following drawing views of the assembly:

1. Top view
2. Front view
3. Right-side view
4. Isometric view (Expected Time: 3 hrs)

Figure E Dimensions of the spacer, center_pin, and the nut
Figure F Dimensions of the support_pin and the bolt
a. Set the working directory and create all the components of the assembly in the
Part mode.

b. Open a new assembly file and assemble the end_plate with the default datum
planes.
c. Assemble the end_plate and the disk as shown in Figure G in an assembly file.

Figure G Assembled end_plate and the disk

d. Assemble the support_pin in the assembly as shown in Figure H using the
assembly constraints.

e. Create the reference pattern of the support_pin as shown in Figure I.

f. Assemble the End_plate, spacer, disk, and center_pin together as shown in
Figure J.

g. Create the subassembly of the nut and bolt and assemble it to the main
assembly.

h. Create the reference pattern of the subassembly in the main assembly as

shown in Figure L.

j. Generate the front view, top view, right-side view, and isometric view as shown
in Figure N.

 Project 1
Create all the components of the Bench-Vice and assemble them together as shown
in Figure A. The exploded view of the assembly is shown in Figure B. The details of
the components of the Bench-Vice assembly are shown in Figure C through Figure
G. After completing the assembly create an exploded state of the assembly in the
Assembly mode. Finally, generate the following drawing views of the assembly:

1. Top view
2. Front view
3. Right-side view
4. Isometric view (Expected Time: 3 hrs)

a. Create all the components of the assembly in the Part mode.

b. Create a new assembly file and assemble the vice_body with the default datum
planes of the assembly using the assembly constraints.

c. Assemble the vice_jaw with the vice_body using the assembly constraints, as
shown in Figure H.

e. Similarly, assemble the remaining components of the bench_vice assembly.
The bench_vice assembly after assembling all the components is shown in
Figure J.

 Project 2
Create all the components of the Blower Assembly and assemble them together as
shown in Figure A. The exploded view of the assembly is shown in Figure B. The
details of the components of the Blower assembly are shown in Figure C through
