SOCIO-ECONOMIC STUDY

A project, to be worthy of financing, especially from


government institutions, should be geared toward not only profit
generation but also social and economic benefits.

A. Economic Contributions

As a transportation business, the business provide


satisfaction to their valued passengers in a way of providing
secure and convenient trip.

As to the employees:

The business can give opportunities to those


unemployed individuals to work as a driver/collector especially
to those undergraduate who needs job.

As to the Government:

Every business corresponds with particular amount of


taxes. Tax is the lifeblood of the government. Since the
business are paying for rentals, there is a corresponding tax
imposed for its operation. In that case, the government can earn
revenues that must be returned to the people in a form of
projects such as infrastructures and other projects that can
benefit the people.
As to the community:

The business can help the residents of the locality by


providing job opportunity. The results of the government’s
project can benefit the community.
Organization and Management Study
I. Legal form of Business
PAK Express is a sole proprietorship type of business. The
proprietor will also be the manager who will oversee and
supervise the operation of the business and the workers.

It is to be registered in LTFRB (Land Transportation


Franchising and Regulatory Board) with the name of business PAK
Express. Aside from LTFRB, it should also be registered in LTO
(Land Transportation Office) in order for the business to
operate. The permits, franchise and other legal requirements
will be acquired at the LGU (Local Government Units) in
Oroquieta City.

III. Officers and Key Personnel
Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising the
operation of the business and the workers. The manager is also
the owner of the business.

Collectors are responsible for collecting the fares before


the vans leave the terminals. They should be at least 25 years
old and above. Male or female who has a pleasing personality and
has at least two years in college. Most of all, they must be
trusted when it comes to money.

Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of the


passengers through driving cautiously. They should be at least
25 years old and above, preferably male, with a pleasing
personality. At least a high school graduate and must be an
expert in proper driving and road policies.
