1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to establish a set of design criteria related to the Fire Protection system to be
started soon on the ECP Building Final Design phase, for review and approval by SHBC before the start of the work
if applicable.

If necessary, this document will be successively updated if it is found that there are elements or equipment items
for which criteria have not been defined.

SYSTEM DESIGN CRITERIA

1.- FIRE EXTINGUISHERS Maximum distance to be travelled: 35 m

Maximum height from ground : 1,5 m
Inside Fire Hose Cabinet:
- 1 Unit 6 Kg Dry Powder Extinguisher
- 1 Unit 9 lts Water Extinguisher
Inside IT room, Electrical Room
- 1 Unit 6 Kg Dry Powder Extinguisher
Outside Transformer Room
- 1 Unit 25 Kg Dry Powder Extinguisher Trolley Type
2.- FIRE HOSE CABINETS
2.1.- FHC-1 FIRE HOSE CABINETS WITH LANDING
VALVE Maximum coverage: 36 m (30 m hose + 6 m jet)
Inside Fire Hose Cabinet:
- 25 mm hose reel (30 m)
- 65 mm seat valve (Landing Valve)
- 1 Canvas hose 30 m x 40 mm
- 1 Unit 6 Kg Dry Powder Extinguisher
- 1 Unit 9 lts Water Extinguisher
Placed near stairways
Minimum Pressure 4,5 Bar
Maximum pressure 6,9 bar (otherwise provide PRV)
Will be fed from the nearest standpipe, even if the
standpipe belongs to a different smoke sector

2.2.- FHC-2 FIRE HOSE CABINETS WITHOUT LANDING

VALVE Maximum coverage: 36 m (30 m hose + 6 m jet)
