Lisa Bettke Fairfield Woods Middle School
Chorale Conductor and Accompanist
Lisa Bettke is an elementary music specialist at McKinley
School in Fairfield. She received a B.A. in Piano Performance
and French from Gettysburg College and an M.S. in Music
Education from the University of Bridgeport. Ms. Bettke
completed her Orff Teacher Training levels I/II at Central
CT State and Level III/Master Class at the University of
Memphis. She has served as President of the CT Chapter
of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and on the
National Board of Trustees as a Regional Representative.
Ms. Bettke has studied conducting with Doreen Rao
(Levels I-III) and Henry Leck (Levels I-II). She also conducted
the first-ever CT Children's Honors Choir for the CT Music
Educators Association. As an accompanist, she has
worked with Doreen Rao, Henry Leck, Mary Goetze,
Joan Gregoryk and Jean Ashworth Bartle.
Ashley Zadravecz
Chorus Conductor
Ashley Zadravecz is a music educator (preK-8) in the New
Haven public school system. She holds a B.S. degree in
Music Education from Western Connecticut State University.
Having started choral singing at a very early age, “including
five years with the FCCC”, Ms. Zadravecz continues her love
of singing as a member of the Church of St. Peter choir in
Danbury, CT, where she is Alto Section Leader and Cantor.
She has performed with choirs all around the world,
including England, Ireland, New Orleans, Pennsylvania,
Canada, and has performed at various celebrated venues,
including Carnegie Hall.

Take Exit 22-Round Hill Road. Go straight on Walls Drive to North Benson
Road-Route135. Turn left onto North Benson, travel about 1 mile to third
traffic signal. Bear right onto Stillson Road-Route135 to traffic signal at
Black Rock Turnpike. Go straight to STOP sign at Fairfield Woods Road. Turn
right on Fairfield Woods Road, then right at traffic signal in front of library.
From Connecticut Turnpike (I-95) SOUTHBOUND:
Take Exit 22-Conn 135. Turn right onto North Benson Road-Route135, travel
about 1 mile to traffic signal. Bear right onto Stillson Road-Route135 to traffic
signal at Black Rock Turnpike. Go straight to STOP sign at Fairfield Woods Road.
Turn right on Fairfield Woods, then right at traffic signal in front of library.
From Merritt Parkway (Route 15) NORTHBOUND:
Take Exit 44 Route 58 South-Fairfield Business District. Turn left at end
of ramp, then right onto Black Rock Turnpike-Route 58. Travel to third traffic
light; turn left onto Fairfield Woods Road. Go straight at STOP sign, then right
at traffic signal in front of library.
From Merritt Parkway (Route 15) SOUTHBOUND:
Take Exit 46-Route 59 Fairfield/Easton. Turn right onto Eastern Turnpike-
Route 59.Travel South about 1.5 miles to Fairfield Woods Road. Turn right at
traffic signal. Travel about 1 mile on Fairfield Woods Road. Turn left at traffic
signal in front of church and library.

Fairfield County Children’s Choir
We are a community based choral program founded in
1995 to provide children the opportunity to participate
in a musical experience which is challenging, rewarding
and enjoyable. Through the process of practicing and
performing choral music with artistry, choristers develop
vocal techniques, music reading skills and an appreciation
of great music.
The FCCC performs music from the standard children’s
choir repertoire, masterpieces from throughout music
history and new works. A unique aspect of the FCCC is
its performance of authentic vocal jazz improvisation.
The FCCC consists of over 300 children from throughout
Fairfield County in four choirs.
Chamber Singers: MOST ADVANCED

Concert Choir: ADVANCED

Chorale: INTERMEDIATE

Highlights from recent performances include:
our Winter, Broadway and Spring Concerts at the Klein
Auditorium in Bridgeport and the Norwalk Concert Hall.
Additional appearances at Carnegie Hall, Tanglewood,
Madison Square Garden, Fairfield University, Washington,
D.C. and with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony and
Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras, as well as the Fairfield
Holocaust Commemoration.

unless otherwise noted.
How To Register & Audition
The FCCC is open to children in grades 4-12 with treble
voices. Beginning April 16, prospective members may
register for an audition by calling (203) 414-4292.
Auditions for the 2015-2016 season will be held at
Fairfield Woods Middle School
in the music suite unless otherwise noted.
Auditions are by appointment only
and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
There is a $30 non-refundable registration fee payable at
the time of audition, cash or checks only. A photo of
your child should be brought to the audition.
Auditions run 5-7 minutes and consist of the following: sing
“Frère Jacques” (in French or English) and “America
the Beautiful” or “America” (My Country ‘tis of Thee).
You will also be asked to echo a few melodic patterns
from the piano. Singers who read music may be asked
to demonstrate their proficiency. (It will be easy!) It is not
necessary to memorize the song lyrics. A song sheet will
be available at the rehearsal.

Faculty
Jon Noyes
Music Director & Founder
Jon Noyes is a music educator in the Fairfield Public Schools
and is the Music Director and Founder of the Fairfield
County Children’s Choir. He served as Adjunct Professor
of Music at Fairfield University from 2002 - 2012. A
Massachusetts native, Mr. Noyes received Bachelor of
Music and Master of Music degrees from the Hartt School
of Music at the University of Hartford. He holds a fourth-
year certificate from the Kodaly Musical Training Institute
and is a Past President of the Southern New England
Kodaly Educators. He has completed post-graduate studies
with Doreen Rao, Betty Bertaux, Henry Leck, Leon Thurman,
Edwin Gordon, Gabriella Thesz and Tibor Szabo.
The Connecticut Chapter of the American Choral Directors
Association named Mr. Noyes Choral Director of the Year
for 1998. He has conducted all-state, regional and national
festival choirs, including the 2011 National Children’s
Choir for the Organization of American Kodaly Educators
at the OAKE Annual Conference in Minneapolis. He has
presented in-service workshops throughout the United
States and has published articles in local, state and
regional journals.
Kevin Cotellese
Concert Choir Conductor
Kevin Cotellese is the Director of Choral Activities at
Fairfield Ludlowe High School. There he conducts four
choral ensembles, teaches Music Theory and Piano.
Mr. Cotellese ‘s choirs are in high demand throughout
the community and actively perform for events held in
venues that include the Fairfield Theater Company and the
Quick Center for the Arts. He is also an active member of
the Connecticut Music Educators Association, where he has
chaired the All-State Chorus and held various leadership
positions. Mr. Cotellese received the B.S. degree in Music
Education from West Chester University, PA, and completed
the Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at
Temple University. He has studied conducting with
Dr. Donald Nally, Mr. Alan Harler and Mr. Luis Biava.
