At Home Weekly is designed for you to use during the week with your son or
daughter. You’ll find out what they learned today at church and can help them
prepare for next week by exploring the theme (or Ponder Point) and spending CONNECT AS A FAMILY
time together in God’s Word. Read this part of The Big God Story outside, preferably in a park or garden. Take
some time to look around at God’s creation—trees, clouds, birds, flowers,
insects, and more. Then read Genesis 1—3.
WHAT WE LEARNED THIS WEEK
REMEMBER & CELEBRATE After reading the Scripture passage, discuss these questions together:

BLESSING
Blessings are often used in the Bible. A blessing can be a prayer of commission,
a portion of Scripture, or words to encourage and guide.

A blessing to pray over your child:

(Child’s name), “the LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who
saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke
you, but will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
