SCHOLARSHIP
ANNOUNCEMENT
Oyu Tolgoi LLC strongly values education, and encourages development and the pursuit
of excellence. We are administering the International scholarship programme from 2011
to assist in the education of Mongolian nationals.
Oyu Tolgoi LLC is announcing six scholarships to financially assist selected applicants
in obtaining Master degree in fields related to the social sciences from the Australia or
Canadian universities.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS:

• Monthly living allowance
• Dormitory fee
• International student health

• Visa and travel fees
Scholarship holders will be given
an opportunity to do an internship
in Khanbogd soum of Umnugovi
province during the study.
Upon successful completion of
the program, the graduates are
expected to return to Mongolia and
live and work in Khanbogd soum
of Umnugobi province for at least
three years.

Psychology
• Health care management/
Emergency health care
management
• Veterinarian
• Town/Landscape architecture
planning
• Mining engineering
APPLICATION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 05, 2018 (BEFORE 5:30 PM)
• Citizen of Mongolia
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education
institution (have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher - on a 4.0
scale)
• TOEFL iBT (80 and above) and/or IELTS (6.5 and above, with no
band score less than 6.0) - test result must be valid at least until
July 2019.
• Must demonstrate at least two years of continuous
employment, up to August 2018
• Female applicants and/or Umnugobi residents are encouraged
to apply.
APPLICATION MATERIALS:
• Curriculum Vitae (in English)
• Notarized copy of a Bachelor’s degree diploma with a transcript
(with an official English translation, including GPA);
• Notarized copy of an official TOEFL or IELTS exam result
• Notarized copy of National Identity Card
• Notarized copy of Social Insurance Book or Employment Order
for the period August 2016 - August 2018.
• Two letters of recommendation from previous/or current
employer.
• Return plan to work and live in Khanbogd soum for at least three

• Statement of Academic Goals/action plan- please write an
essay in English within 500-600 words describing your intended
field of study, your career objectives and how you can contribute
to the prosperity of Mongolia as well as the Khanbogd soum’s
development through the newly acquired knowledge and skills
from your study overseas.
