1. The congress is composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. We have 26 Senators and not
more than 250 members of the House of Representatives.
2. A child borne by a Filipino mother and a Filipino father on the United States is a Filipino by virtue of Jus
Sanguinis. The child is also an American citizen by virtue of Jus Soli.
3. Naturalization is one of the modes of acquiring citizenship. In the contrary, it is only one way of losing
citizenship.
4. Dual Citizenship is a voluntary situation which arises when, as a result of an individual’s volition.

also the power over the personal health of the President.
8. Temporary residence is in reference to the one year residency requirement in the Philippines. Domicile is in
reference to the sixth month residency requirement in the place where one wants to vote.
9. The theory prevailing in the Philippines is that suffrage is both a privilege and an obligation. This means that
suffrage is a natural and inherent right of every citizen who is not disqualified by reason of his own
reprehensible conduct or unfitness.
10. The budget given by the government to the members of the House of Representatives are called corkbarell.
Collection refers to the administrative act of collecting the tax, which is exercised by the executive branch of
the government, particularly the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
