Visual Stimulus linked to the Options (Cultural Diversity, Customs & Traditions, Health, Leisure, Science, Technology) Duration: 8-10 minutes (plus 15 min prep)

Supervised preparation time The student is shown two previously unseen photographs, with a title or 15 minutes
caption, selected by the teacher. Each photograph is related to a
different option studied in class. The student chooses one of the
photographs & prepares a presentation under supervision. May jot down
working notes (up to 10 bullet points) but student should not read.
Part 1: Presentation The student describes the photograph and relates it to the option and the 3–4 minutes
target culture(s).
Part 2: Discussion A discussion with the teacher based on the presentation follows. 5–6 minutes
Discussion based on a topic from the other option studied may be
introduced if that contributes to the interaction.
