 Responsible for the effective implementation of the Montessori curriculum and ensuring that the
BC Prescribed Learning Outcomes are met
o Careful and honest communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, needs
and behaviour in the classroom
o Ensuring that all students needs are met at an individual level on a day to day basis
o Collaborate with students, colleagues and the community to bring a balanced and
accountable curriculum into the classroom
o Daily Collaboration with Team teachers to ensure a consistent workload for all students
in all subjects.
o Working in concert with support staff to design and implement Individual Education Plans

School program.

 Was responsible for 3 classes of 30+ students of Social Studies, in addition to one Math block.
 Had a high level of one-on-one ‘tutoring’ style assistance during students’ flex blocks.

 Worked continuously throughout this time to fill teaching vacancies due to absences.
 Worked almost entirely at one school (Frances Kelsey Secondary) due to requests from both
teachers and administrators.

- Meet with Members of Parliament, Senate, and key Legislative staff
- Engaged in discussions with fellow teachers to promote further understanding of the
workings of the key Federal Democratic systems.

September 2012-Present Member of the Education Sub Committee, Maria Montessori Academy.
- Worked with Principal, fellow teachers and Board Members to develop the academic vision of
Maria Montessori Academy. Duties included determining course offered, grading criteria,
scholarship opportunities, K-12 continuance, student retention, and much more.

June 2011-August 2012 American Montessori Society Secondary II Program Houston, TX


- Participated in full-time summer long programs, developing Montessori knowledge and
theory at the Secondary level of practice.
- Workshops focused on Adolescent brain development, the needs of the 21st Century
Adolescent, Montessori philosophy in a modern setting, the development of Global
