Dear Priyanka Kumari,

(AMCAT ID: 10010826775901)

Thanks for appearing in AMCAT: Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive
Test. As you know, AMCAT is the only Assessment and Feedback Platform for
employability which uses an advanced adaptive algorithm to accurately and
precisely find your skill level, help you improve them and highlight your skill
set to our partnering companies.
Many IT and non-IT companies including HCL, Microsoft Research,
Kritikal Solutions, Kuliza Software, Wirkle Technologies, Techkriti
Software, Manpower Consulting, Rupeetimes, etc. have hired and
continue to hire candidates tested on AMCAT.
This letter will help you understand your performance in AMCAT and identify
your strength and weakness in different modules. We, at Aspiring Minds want
you to take this feedback very seriously to improve skills which you are
currently weak in. At the same time, we shall highlight your strengths to
various companies on our panel. Secondly, you need to register on our
website and update your profile. A second detailed mail has been
sent to you in this regard.
The AMCAT score is not equal to the number of questions answered correctly
as is the case in any other test. Since the test is adaptive, it automatically
becomes easy or tough according to your performance in questions. The
score is calculated by an advanced statistical engine, which takes into
consideration questions difficulty, discrimination, guess possibility, time to
attempt a question and several other factors.
In each module, the minimum score is 100, while the maximum score is 900.
The percentile states the percent of students who got a score less than you,
for example, a percentile of 40% means that 40% of the students who took
the test scored lower than you.

Diagnostics and Feedback:

English: Your performance in English is satisfactory. You are average at

vocabulary and comprehension of text, but you need to improve your
grammar. We suggest that you use a dictionary extensively. Secondly, take
part in events like group discussions, debates, etc., and try communicating
in English as much as possible. Also, read newspaper regularly and some
good magazines like India Today, Outlook, etc. and web magazines like New
Yorker. Work hard!

Computer Fundamentals: You are average in usage of computer hardware

components and windows. You are weak in usage of basic software & the
world wide web. Try to debug hardware issues in your PC yourself and
explore properties of different hardware attached to your PC using Device
Manager. Be more experimental with your usage of Windows: try changing
settings and debugging problems on your own. Use the computer to do more
tasks such as word processing, making presentations, reading pdfs, using
email to communicate and surfing the internet. Try to spend atleast 20 hours
every week on the PC using various softwares and exploring new stuff on the
internet.

Finance: You are average in knowledge of banking products. You are weak
in understanding of investment products such as equity, bonds, MFs,
derivatives, etc. and basic economics and taxation. Understanding of
investment products is essential for any job in finance. Please brush up your
knowledge of the same.

panel. Regularly check your email to get complete benefit of this,
otherwise you may miss an exciting opportunity.

accept AMCAT score as a factor to shortlist for interviews. Including the
AMCAT score on your resume will increase the possibility of a call. You
can use the first page of this letter as a score card to show to
companies.
3. Lastly, work hard to improve your weak areas. You can give AMCAT
again after 3 months to improve your scores.
If you are shortlisted by one of the companies hiring through us, you would
get an interview call through Aspiring Minds. If you have any feedback about
