Future – planned OPENPS Version 2.02 Q1 2005
Bugs Fixed
# When a description is changed in MSP or PS the upload/download interface
attempts to delete the item instead of just updating it.
Usability Issues
# Issue that when you select an object to “exclude from uploading” it deletes the
object in SAP. Actually option in next pop up screen. - WE WOULD APPRECIATE
FEEDBACK ON THIS – IE CUSTOMER TO TEST AND SAY IF THERE IS AN EASY
CHANGE OR JUST DOCUMENTATION IS NEEDED?
# Have each Resource(s) be on its own line (lines 4, 5, & 6) and roll up to an
Activity Summary Task – available in MSP.
Consulting Possibilities
# Download non-manpower related costs from SAP to MSP - function to be
adapted so that it excludes manpower related actual costs (i.e. actual costs
arising through timesheet bookings).
SAP AG 2004 SAP OPENPS and IMPRESS (Jo Procter SAP Labs)
Future – Cannot do
BAPIS needed
# Commitment Reporting in MSP - BAPI required
# Ability to upload to / download from PS Simulation Versions – BAPI required
Rejected
$ Separate Upload / Download Parameters
$ Ability to update forecast work (remaining work) from the upload of MSP into
SAP.
$ Do not want the Open PS upload to delete work activity elements and move the
work center, activity type, and hours information to the parent activity
$ Allow Network headers to be downloaded / uploaded to/from MSP. The
network header might be only assigned to the project definition or it might be
assigned to a WBS element
