EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This repair was carried out on a 2” instrument gas line at KP Main Deck at UTUE Production
Platform to stop the leak and reinforce the structure.

Based on the extent of the defect, the repair was designed in accordance to ISO 24817 standards,
which resulted in six layers of FormashieldTM material of an overall repair thickness of
0.437inches. The repair was completed from start to finish in two day.

The pipe was mechanically prepared and cleaned with acetone solvent. The leaked area was filled
with proprietary epoxy putty, coated with PPR primer, then the four layers of Formashield TM
material was applied to the entire repair zone for effective repair.

The pipe was then coated with a corrosion and UV-resistant paint as a finish coat over the repair
as stipulated by the ISO 24817 Standards.
