El proyecto de investigación se orientó a la formulación de un diagnóstico

ambiental del hábitat asociado al mono churuco (Lagothrix lagotricha) en la

reserva El Berlín del sendero de El Porvenir, municipio de Pitalito Huila, para
lograr los objetivos propuestos, se tomó en cuenta la metodología respectiva, la
cual permitió estudiar la presencia del primate dentro del área de estudio, Es
importante señalar que la mayor cobertura de los senderos asociados a la
reserva está representada por bosques altos y rastrojos, en el entendido de
que se trata de áreas que conservan un corredor biológico en el que se ha
reportado la presencia de grandes mamíferos registrados por la misma
comunidad, sin dejar de lado la buena conservación de los bosques que se
reportan en los demás senderos. A través de la metodología de investigación
se recolectó información de línea base que permitió llegar al reconocimiento,
información geográfica y la matriz para la evaluación de los impactos
ambientales sobre los elementos del hábitat del mono churuco y su potencial
riesgo de afectación a través de una evaluación de la frecuencia, afectación,
cobertura y recuperabilidad, permitiéndonos establecer el orden de prioridad
en: alta, media y baja para facilitar la definición de medidas de manejo
ambiental. Mediante la aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas, se creó el
archivo de caracterización de Lagothrix lagotricha (mono churuco), que permite
establecer la ubicación geográfica y distribución de las especies dentro de la
reserva a través de visitas de campo, y el posterior mapeo de los resultados
obtenidos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue visibilizar la especie de primate
y generar información que sirva de base para la elaboración de estudios más
detallados y para la formulación de estrategias de conservación de la
biodiversidad presente en estos espacios naturales de Laboyano.

The research project was oriented towards the formulation of an environmental

diagnosis of the habitat associated with the Churuco monkey (Lagothrix
lagotricha) in the El Berlin reserve of the path of the Porvenir, municipality of
Pitalito Huila, in order to achieve the proposed objectives, the respective
methodology was taken into account, which allowed us to study the presence of
the primate within the study area, It is important to point out that the greatest
coverage of the trails associated with the reserve is represented by high forest
and stubble, in the understanding that these are areas that conserve a
biological corridor in which the presence of large mammals registered by the
same community has been reported, without leaving behind the good
conservation of the forests that are reported in the other trails. Through the
research methodology, base line information was collected that allowed us to
arrive at the recognition, geographic information and the matrix for the
assessment of environmental impacts on the elements of the habitat of the
churuco monkey and its potential risk of affectation through an assessment of
the frequency, affectation, coverage and recoverability, allowing us to establish
the order of priority in: high, medium and low to facilitate the definition of
environmental management measures. Through the application of semi-
structured interviews, the Lagothrix lagotricha (churuco monkey)
characterization file was created, allowing the establishment of the geographic
location and distribution of the species within the reserve through field trips, and
the subsequent mapping of the results obtained. The aim of this research was
to make the primate species visible and to generate information that will serve
as a baseline for the preparation of more detailed studies and for the
formulation of strategies for the conservation of the biodiversity present in these
Laboyano natural spaces.
