A major operator had a 8 well campaig n in the Wolfcam p A zone
withi n the Permian Basin and was proactively seeking o p p ort unitie s
to i mprove overall drilling performance.
T hi s fo rmation is characterized by thick undulating layers of vary ing
ro c k type, therefore the selected drilling equipment and p roce d ure s
mus t be optimized to extend tool life while maintaining a d if fe re ntial
pres s ure that maximizes ROP.

TECHNOLOGY + SERVICE SOLUTION

Gyrodata enlisted one of its directional drilling teams with extensive experience in this basin and configured
a BHA featuring the 63/4" GyroDrill performance drilling motor, MagGuide MP MWD, and Ulterra U616 PDC bit
to deliver both superior performance and efficiency.

The GyroDrill motor was selected for this project as it has drilled over two million feet in the Permian Basin
and continues to raise the bar in reliability with a 99% successful run rate and 98.5% operating efficiency.
